Walmart refused to even look up the out-of-pocket expenses on each prescription with my insurance until they actually filled the order. Combine that with Consumer Reports rating independent drug stores #1 and Walmart pharmacies very near the bottom, I went with Eastern. They were happy to check on the cost of each. Found out that one of them, which was sort of a nice-to-have, was going to cost me $94 out-of-pocket. In my mind, they saved me from a $94 mistake. And they had no problem taking the time to advise me on concerns about drug interactions. FYI, they are not particularly well stocked on other over-the-counter meds, and those prices seem a little high. Oh, and according to the sign, they will deliver. Interesting concept.

I have been going to that pharmacy for literally decades, but since it has changed ownership, the pharmacist has been rude, and I have been having trouble getting prescriptions filled. For example, I asked for a prescription to be transferred and delivered three days ago. They called me today around 11am and told me that my prescription was ready. I reminded them that I asked for the prescription to be delivered. They claim they tried to call me two days ago. I know that they didn't, because the call was not listed on my phone's call log. In addition, I wanted to know why they were calling me when I had already arranged for them to deliver the prescription, why wasn't it just delivered? To add insult to injury, they then told me that the delivery driver had already left and that they would not be able to deliver it until Monday. This is pain medication! When I spoke to the pharmacist who said his name was Muhammad, first, he said he was the manager. When I asked to speak to the owner, he then said he was the owner. When I informed him that I had been getting my family's prescriptions there for years and that I was considering going to another pharmacy and filing a complaint because of the consistent poor service since he took over, he very rudely said "go ahead". Then after I hung up, someone for the pharmacy called me to tell me my prescription was ready. I asked who was the manager? He wanted to know why I wanted to know and then he hung up. I am sick, and I am in pain, and I do not need to go through this extra stress. Treating patients like this is unacceptable and unprofessional, and I will be filing a complaint.

They contacted my doctor. Got the prescriptions switched over and had my medication by the following morning. One of these meds I had been informed by CVS that they did not carry. I can only say this small business was professional, very friendly, and timely. The prices were also less expensive. Nice to promote a local business that cares.
