Walmart refused to even look up the out-of-pocket expenses on each prescription with my insurance until they actually filled the order. Combine that with Consumer Reports rating independent drug stores #1 and Walmart pharmacies very near the bottom, I went with Eastern. They were happy to check on the cost of each. Found out that one of them, which was sort of a nice-to-have, was going to cost me $94 out-of-pocket. In my mind, they saved me from a $94 mistake. And they had no problem taking the time to advise me on concerns about drug interactions. FYI, they are not particularly well stocked on other over-the-counter meds, and those prices seem a little high. Oh, and according to the sign, they will deliver. Interesting concept.

It's an independent community pharmacy where the staff recognize and greet you and provide personal service. The Pharmacy fills your prescription for a reasonable cost and can order any health device and show your pictures from a catalog to fit your needs. Such personal service is not available in chain pharmacies. One most important service is a reminder for prescription refills and as much as possible fill with the same generic brand as requested.

They offer free prescription delivery. I have not seen that since 1977. I am glad that somebody is doing it again because if you're very sick and in bed with the flu or Covid, or you are elderly and mobility challenged, you would need this kind of help. Hopefully for me I won't be needing this for another 20 years. But it's nice to know that it's there. This "Mom and Pop" has been in business since 2016 and I wish them success for many more years to come.

Compounded medication does not come cheap and is rarely covered by insurance. Knowing this, I wanted a pharmacy that was close to me, so I could atleast pick-up in person to save on shipping costs. Previously, I was getting medication compounded at Northern, but found communication to be a little robotic. My doc sent a script to Professional Arts and I got a call an hour later that they've received it and were ready to fill once my card was on file. After wincing at the high (but comparable) price, I gave my card info and got a text immediately after that it was filled with the times and hours for pickup. Picking up was super quick and easy, with things packaged and labeled to the 9s. I believe curbside pick-up is an option, which is great because their parking lot is on the smaller side.

I called Waverly Professional Pharmacy and the pharmacist was super helpful. We spoke a few times due to some minor insurance issues and he remained very patient and professional. In fact, he texted me from his personal mobile number to let me know that my prescription was ready. I didn't even know that I missing this kind of customer service from my local pharmacy. This is a total upgrade from the Rite Aid. So glad that Waverly Professional Pharmacy is now my home pharmacy.

They're an okay place. You will probably wait no longer than a usual pharmacy. I usually end up…read morewaiting a bit since my doctor's office is right upstairs in the same building, and they can send the prescription directly to the pharmacy. The 1 minute walk down the stairs isn't enough time for them to fill a prescription, so I usually end up waiting 20-30 minutes. There are chairs all around, a vending machine, and CNN playing in the corner. If you want to avoid such an uninspiring wait room, I suggest heading next to Rheb's, just on the other side of the parking lot.
