Jeremy is one of those people who can't go anywhere without a beverage, so we stopped at CVS to get a Monster... and an orange vanilla coke for me. Both of which were outrageously priced, but that's inflation, I suppose. Many shelves were absolutely bare. I suspect they're removing all the summer stuff and getting ready for Hallow-xmas. It's a basic CVS situation. I only go into those stores when I need a quick beverage. I DO use a CVS pharmacy, but even then we only use the drive-thru. Going inside always seems like such a hassle. We didn't interact with any employees. We used self check-out. It was a fairly painless experience. I appreciate the ramp and the automatic doors. I wish more stores had those.

It was a seamless process. The CVS closest to me used to give vaccines, but, according to the Doc, they no longer do which was why I had to come to this store. When I arrived I was surprised by the Minute Clinic space. It's set up similar to the waiting area in a doctors office. It was clean, bright, and welcoming. There was one other woman waiting and we both assumed the doctor was with somebody. I waited approximately 10 minutes past my scheduled appointment time when she came out with her previous appointment. The woman ahead of me just needed to have her TB test read so she was in & out. Once in the office, everything was explained. The prices for the vaccines were posted on the cabinet. You can schedule regular vaccines (like the flu & COVID), which is what I received. But it is also a Travel Clinic for vaccines needed to travel abroad such as yellow fever, typhoid, etc. I had planned to get a few vaccines, but once I saw the prices..... OUCH! I opted to visit my local VA Hospital where I was able to get them there. She was efficient and my visit wasn't long. Everything she needed was in that space. I was however, surprised that most of the store items were locked behind glass/plexiglass. It was my first time seeing this in a CVS. My only guess is that they've experienced a lot of shoplifting, even though this area didn't seem to fit that description (in my opinion, but I don't live here). I'm down with the Minute Clinic. I'd use it again.

I didn't see anyone navigate it successfully without help from someone behind the counter. What kind of healthcare facility makes you touch a filthy touchscreen over and over again? Not only does it take a ridiculous amount of information to find your prescription but then you have to answer a bunch of other questions about your health and immunizations. I'm never going back again!!!

I visited for the 1st time 2 weeks ago, and I have been at least 4-5 times already. I love how fresh the food is on the hot deli bar, and I am so thankful that it's behind protective glass for an employee to gather and present instead of it being in an open area, etc. Although the cashiers are normally less than excited to see any customer, they work fast, and efficient. It works for me. I will surely continue to support this market and recommend to friends and family.

Apparently everyone needs a mask to go inside except the homeless people. And when I say homeless people I mean the group of them that ranges between 2-5 people camping out by the door asking you for money when you walk by. There is a security guard by the door that will watch anyone walk around the store, unless you live on a park bench and do drugs, then you're A- Ok! read more

If I could only give this place one star, I would give it to it. Their pharmacy is appalling. We had to wait for hours after the pharmacy stated that obtaining a prescription would take 30 minutes. Instead of instructing us to return, they were going to have us wait another two hours outdoors while waiting for pick up one. read more

I called my insurance company and learned that Charlesmeade Pharmacy never ran my insurance. The last time I went, I tried to explain that they had not run my insurance, but they insisted that I needed to pay full price. I asked why this had not been communicated to me beforehand, especially since I had spoken with someone on the phone earlier that day. They then attempted to bargain with me to pay less than the original amount they quoted. This seems absolutely wrong--they are refusing to run prescriptions through insurance and are instead negotiating prescription prices.

This store was closed on New Years Day (fair enough) so I had to use CVS. When I needed another round of antibiotics a week later, I made sure my doctor sent the script here. The medicine was ready when I arrived about an hour later. There was no line and they had two ladies at the registers. They were friendly and efficient but didn't try to waste my time - exactly what you want when you are sick and exhausted! They even saved me money on a prescription toothpaste that I'd been buying from my dentist for years ($12 vs $5).

The staff is rude, and I've had issues with one of my prescriptions multiple times over the last few months. Although the pharmacist has been nicer about trying to help me, it's only after I call that I even know there's an issue. Several times, they haven't bothered to call me to tell me that they were having problems getting my prescription. I had to go there after the horrible storm we had a few months ago, and now I need to go out of my way to pick up my prescription today b/c it took them so long to get it, and they won't deliver it today. I need it today, so delivery tomorrow does me no good. While I like to support a local small pharmacy, I strongly recommend that you DO NOT USE THEM!!!

During my most recent visit, I was clearly sick, holding a box of DayQuil/NyQuil while trying to pick up a prescription. Instead of asking how he could help, he immediately (and condescendingly) told me I'd need to purchase the medicine downstairs--assuming I wasn't there for a prescription at all. That kind of dismissive attitude is the last thing you want to deal with when you're already not feeling well. Customer service training feels long overdue. A pharmacy should be a place of care, not condescension. Thankfully, I've since found a local pharmacist just a few blocks away who takes my insurance and treats people with kindness. That's where I'll be going from now on.

I took a chance but I definitely have no regrets. I walked into the Ruxton Pharmacy this morning to pick up a prescription and to possibly refill another. What could have taken an hour at CVS took me 5 minutes at Ruxton Pharmacy. There was no one in line, the phones were not ringing off the hooks. The gentleman who helped me was kind and personable. Bonus points: The prices I paid were at least 25% cheaper than CVS or Walgreens. They also have an A-mazing greeting card selection which I will take advantage of the next time I return. What I really like about this place is if you can't get there during business hours, they will deliver locally. The turn around for delivery is pretty quick. This has definitely eased our burden, especially those days we realize we are running low. The Towson Health Mart also has local connections with other businesses. When I needed sedation medicine for my daughter's dentist, I just took the prescription in, left it with them, and they did the rest. My only minor complaint is that there have been a few times my wife has sent me in to grab something or she has gone herself, and they say there is nothing ready even though a call was made saying it was. This is usually rectified by a delivery later in the day (or the next day) but it can still be a bit confusing or frustrating. Overall though, with the amount of expectations that we put on Towson Health Mart Pharmacy, I have been pleased with our patronage.

I have had multiple recent experiences with inaccurate prescription information and extremely rude customer service. Last month, I received a text notification stating that my prescription was ready. I drove approximately 30 minutes to the pharmacy, only to be told that the prescription was not actually ready. Today, I had another prescription sent by my doctor. After it was sent, I followed up multiple times--three times today--to confirm that the pharmacy had received it. Each time, I was told that they did not have the prescription. To make matters worse, the person who answered the phone was extremely rude and had a very unpleasant attitude. I understand that pharmacies can be busy and that mistakes happen. However, the combination of repeated communication issues and consistently poor customer service is unacceptable. This is especially disappointing because I have been a customer for two years and did not previously experience this level of service. Unfortunately, based on these recent experiences, I will no longer be using this pharmacy. I also would not recommend it to others, including people I work with or my own patients who may ask for a pharmacy recommendation. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because the quality of customer service has clearly changed.
