Oh great. Now I'm going to be singing Gloria Estefan's "Conga Beat" in my head for the rest of the day. The music is loud in this grocery store. First time here. I was dying of thirst after being out and about for a couple of hours, so we popped on in to get a 6 pack of what I call "travel sodas" - bottled Sodas. I like having a container with a lid when I'm in the van. I'm a messy girl and there's no way I'm wrangling a can of Soda while on the move. Especially not with the way Jeremy drives. I'd be wearing that Soda in a few minutes and I don't relish the idea of being sticky. We also got a canister of J.O. crab seasoning for the next time we have steamed crabs and there isn't enough seasoning on them. The store had a great display of various crab seasonings and items that a person might need for picking crabs. I never would have remembered I wanted to get a bottle of the seasoning if I hadn't passed by the display. Jeremy tried to get a cup.of coffee at the Cafe, but the employee behind the counter looked at him crazy and informed him that the cafe closed at 4pm. It was 3:30. The store is clean and brightly lit and a bit on the pricey side. This isn't a place I'd normally shop but I was curious to see a new (to me) place. Decent, but I'll probably never return. read more

Green Valley Marketplace is a small local grocers with three locations in the state. Visiting a friend in the area, we wanted something simple and easy, and this was a great choice to venture to given what we had in mind. We wandered about the store and enjoyed the options available on the day of our visit. There is an adjoining coffee shop and bakery, and local produce is plentiful. The setup is different in that sections and aisles are unlike their competitor chain. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but if you get distracted, you will get off track easily, ha! My first visit was a riot, and items not planned for made its way home with us LOL! I do note that although local produce is offered here, the organic section is limited. Be sure to stop by the back and check out the local seafood case. Follow your nose, and peruse the roasters section and check out Rise Up and Zeke to brew at home. The ladies attending the self check out kiosks were so attentive and super helpful. I appreciate the friendly service and hellos from the staff who passed us. read more

If your looking to get a job here don't especially as cashier they always take the rude customers word for it and put the blame back on you they make you stand for hours and do not treat their cashiers very good at all one two 15 min breaks for 8 hour shifts and people are always quitting or just stop showing up and Mike the manager he's act nice but as soon as it comes down to problem solving he's completely rude hr should be called abt how the cashier are treated and I started of in deli and they forced me to do cashier after I told them I'm not good with cash so whenever my register was short they would take it out of my pay check please reconsider if your thinking about working here don't. read more

I use this location when I need a few last minute ingredients or a quick item. I do not do my full time shopping here due to higher prices than surrounding stores. The employees tend to be friendly and the store clean. I am also glad that they kept Lauer's Bakery even once Lauer's left. Probably using box cake now, the macarons I received that they've recently started putting out are overpriced. $7 for four macarons of inferior quality. I watched the lady take out the box and remove them from the freezer. They're extremely soft but not in a good way. macarons are meant to have a crunchy outer shell and the inside is meant to be soft with a buttercream filling, usually. These are terrible, they're soggy and chewy which is sad because the flavor itself would be all right. It's almost like eating them if they were out of date. The owners need to try real macarons and put something better on the shelf if they're going to charge Whole Foods prices for them. Absolutely atrocious, The bakery is becoming more and more manufactured and it's really saddening to see. They need to steer away from pre-made goods, there was a reason Lauer's Bakery was so well loved, and that's because they made their products from scratch. I would seriously prefer less options in the bakery as long as everything was made from scratch vs. more options made with pre-made shipped in goods. The only good feedback I have is that the sushi got way better, they're using a different source and I've been told it's made fresh. The coffee bar is new and it's good, however, if those things will stay good over the test of time is to be seen. We do 90% of our shopping at Green Valley . The prices may be a little more BUT people forget service cost money . Go to Giant and ask them to cut up a chicken for you , good luck with that ! I live a little over 30 miles away and shop at this store , and i'm not the only one . Went to Weiss on a Friday morning at 8:45 am ,NO cashiers , you want cheap food, this is what you get . No problems with the way the store is run and I can pretty much find what I need, but it has been warm in that store for a while now. Some of the meat is on display and in open case units that can't be good, the last time I said something they said it was because of the traffic in and out of the store. Milk will ALMOST ALWAYS expire early. Seafood has a 50/50 chance of NOT being fresh. Overpriced for quality of food. Staff- some are good, possibly great, but they are overshadowed by all the other idiots working there. Had to do some pandemic social distancing grocery shopping yesterday and was happy with the selection at Green Valley! Fully stocked on great looking produce, bread, meats, dairy and frozen. This place is so great! It's such a simple place inside a grocery store and a very simple menu but very delicious. Definitely worth trying. The coffee tastes great! Not like some restaurant 3 hour old coffee. And the baristas are very nice and educated in coffee. read more

This store is in walking distance from my home. However, I only go when I need just a couple items. They do have a great selection and are usually fully stocked but their prices are on the high side. I like that they started a delivery service during these Covid times. Their bakery is AMAZING! If you have a sweet tooth I highly recommend the bakery. They have a large selection and everything is delicious. My only complaints about this store is it is usually very hot and stuffy inside and the prices are high but overall they are good for when I only need a couple items. read more

I would of gave them a possible 3 stars but after the other day during this national pandemic with this virus I go in there which I had been coming to this store weekly even when it was Lauers before they took over which at first the owners seemed ok but I think now they were trying to win customers over but the only people that are nice are the former employees! And I saw that first hand the other day I walk in no sales papers and they have signs all over store saying during this pandemic/Corona virus we will no longer be honoring the weekly sales but please enjoy our already low prices! REALLY! There prices are not that low! I saw a bunch of higher ups standing around in the produce area of store I said so are those grapes on sale there's a sign up saying $1.69 this guy says oh yes whatever sign says is the price then he proceeds to says the reason why we are not honoring sales papers starting that day Fri March 20th is we are having hard time getting products! I looked at him like Really! I told him I was just down the road at the Giant food store they had sale paper with sales and they had plenty of product! Also when I did check out grapes were $3.99 a pound and apples were supposed to be $1.69 too but rang up $2.99 a pound but signs were up saying $1.69 I and people in that store that day said they are totally price gouging!!! That store should shutdown and not open if they have no products don't try to Rip off your regular customers! I drive a good ways to come to that store but I won't be back I past 20 stores on my way there! I am a Pescatarian so I just eat seafood no meat. I bought several different fishes in there seafood Dept. I got home and the Haddock smelled like dead fish at the Baltimore Harbor on a hot day. I returned it and told the store manager.I told him they need to train there seafood staff better so they don't sell people bad seafood .He blamed the supplier. I told him that's not a good reason they need to know when its bad and not to sell it , look the texture smell and color. They return my fish and I went home and cooked the Flounder once again this fish was bad I had to throw it away. My next call is to the Health Department before they sell more bad fish to the public and Poisoning someone . I will stick to Wegmans for my seafood at least its fresh and they throw it away when its not!!!! They had day old bread to sell on a Sunday Who dose that??i WILL NOT WAST MY MONEY AT THIS STAORE AGAIN. So sad to see how careless this store is with our health and well being. read more
