I like this Cosi. Well, technically it's the only Cosi I've ever been to but I've had it multiple times now, considering it's the only food option in the building where I work. They make fresh bowls, flat breads, sandwiches, etc. So far, I've had the spicy Italian beef. Spicy Italian Beef melt, and the Buffalo Chicken Pizza(today) and all were good. Was anything the best I've had or close to it? No. But everything was good. Sometimes there's a bit of a wait so I took a star off for that but all in all they're really convenient and I've yet to have anything bad. read more

It's okayyyy. I use to come here when I lived in Baltimore in 2015... now I've tried it in 2024... idk it's okay. Maybe the person didn't make it with love or something but it's decent. Sandwich taste dry. Not how I've had it many times in the past. Service was fast but the man that helped me seemed like he was trying to get me in and out and not attentive to my needs much. First of all, I love Cosi. My favorite of all the similar sandwich chains. Unfortunately, my local branch closed recently, so we were happy to see this option as we were looking for a quick lunch in Baltimore. I wish we didn't see it and the cosi memories I had stayed pure. ehhh I remember this place being much better in high school. So far I have tried to steak gorgonzola melt which was heavy on the blue cheese and light on the steak and also the Caribbean chicken with spaghetti squash bowl, again light on the protein and that spaghetti squash had an odd consistency and taste. There was negligible sauce on the bowl so I was just eating dry spaghetti squash and 3 pieces of chicken. the location is well laid out well in the bank of america building and the set up is really efficient and all the people working there are forever helpful and never rude. just doesn't make up for the laughable portion sizes and ridiculous pricing. $7 for what amounts to a half of sandwich is ridiculous. Stopped by for lunch and was glad I did. Cosi is set up like most places now where you go down the line and order what you want. There are many different items to select from such as Sandwiches, Soup, Rice Bowls, Salad, and more. I ordered the "Take Two" where you get half a Sandwich with a Soup or Salad. I ordered the Pesto Chicken Sandwich with a Chicken Caesar Salad. The Chicken Caesar Salad was really good, Chicken was simple but flavorful. The Pesto Chicken Sandwich (Chicken, Pesto, Fresh Mozzarella,& Sun Dried Tomato Spread) was delicious. I would go back and get that again. I went here for lunch and got the chicken pesto sandwish. I ordered half a sandwich until I saw the teeny-tiny size and ordered another half! I am a small eater and the whole (two halves) sandwich was just enough for me and cost about $7-$8 before tax. The bread was really good though - fresh, warm and yummy! The service was pretty slow and it took a while for them to get my sandwiches ready. Also, it is very confusing as there are 3 different lines - 1 for salads, 1 for sandwiches, and 1 for paying for your meal. I wanted a cup of soup but didn't know where to order it so I did not! Stopped in for breakfast this morning while attending a conference. These employees are AMAZING. They are all so kind and were attentive to our questions and throughout our order process. The guy who made my sandwich was quite friendly and charismatic, which was awesome as I tend to feel needlessly awkward in general. I got a Cosi loyalty card since I'll likely be back. The last Cosi in Maryland. I have always lamented the fact that Cosi failed while the inferior Panera Bread (whose beneficial owners apparently have Nazi ties) succeeded. This Cosi does not have squagels, but it has their delicious, quick, and healthy sandwiches and salads. The odd things about this location is that the sandwich queue is actually in line with the salad queue, just a bit further up the food preparation station. This inevitably leads to confusion (people waiting in the salad line who actually desire sandwiches). If you want a sandwich, go to the "middle" of the line (i.e. skip ahead of the salad eaters). It will be a sad day when this Cosi goes the way of the truffula tree. read more

For a chain, Cosi is really good if you end up eating out a lot for work. I prefer it over similar places like Panera or Corner Bakery. They have a decent selection of healthy salads and the singing salad man is good at making people laugh! However this particular location tends to have pretty slow service and I tend to avoid it during the lunch rush. I have also noticed that the off hours can be just as slow because the ingredients haven't been refilled or there just aren't enough workers around. Recently I've been ordering for pick up but I learned that their system has been delayed lately. While the manager and workers were great about getting the order together quickly (and threw in some cookies), this location definitely needs to work on improving their process to get people in and out quicker. read more

My husband and I ordered TBM and Turkey Cheddar Melt. Kids split a bowl of Mac & cheese, & we ordered 3 fountain drinks. The man we talked with was super helpful/kind. Giving us two small cups instead of one medium fountain cup- allowing our kids to split. Entrees included sides (we went with 2 bags of chips & bag of baby carrots). They were out of coke syrup at the fountain machine, so a woman told me I could take a bottled soda instead- I already just went with orange soda, but appreciated her generosity in trying to correct situation. For our total order we paid $35....we can usually get out of Panera for $10 less. The drinks were fine, sides as expected, sandwiches were okay....the kids ate their Mac and cheese, but it looked very strange. It seemed to be a mixture of different noodles, all shredded up into a mash type from. It oddly made it easier for the kids to eat, but it did not look appealing to me. They know by my names after the first few visits and they do change their seasonal menus. Sean, the general store manager were always smiled and greeted say hello or short conversation. I have to give this place 5 stars simply because of the s'mores. What a great idea - a Sterno, sticks, and all the ingredients. It caters to chocolate lovers and pyros alike - and makes for a great first date or night out with friends. Aside from their desserts, the food is fantastic and their coffee is exactly what a caffeine addict needs. I've been here on several occasions for lunch and have liked everything I've ordered. They make a great chicken Caesar salad and the flat-bread that comes with it is delicious. The restaurant itself is located at the base of the Bank of America building in Lombard St. The interior is spacious, and like other Cosi restaurants, the seating ranges from tables to lounge chairs. The service is friendly and after you order at the counter, they'll bring your food out to your table based on your number. The only down side is the price. Salads run about $7.00, and even though you get a good-sized portion, its a bit pricey on a budget. read more

Although Cosi as a chain has decent food - soups, sandwiches, salads, flatbreads - that are quick and a nice alternative to other chains like Panera - this one was SO DISAPPOINTING. I called ahead to make sure they were open and the woman on the phone said yes - so I arrived within 5 minutes and the staff was upset to see a customer since they were closing in 15 minutes and had already packed up most of the foods. So why not mention the imminent closing on the phone?? Anyway, I was in a pinch to get a quick meal before a concert or I would have left, but I just wanted a quick salad/sandwich and didn't think it would be a huge deal. After all they were technically still open. The girl who served me wasn't mean, but she was clearly not pleased with having to re-open (and by that I mean take the aluminum foil) off of the ingredients she needed for my food - of which they were out of a lot. While making my food, she kept using her gloved hands to touch both my sandwich AND her cell phone ... Really GROSS but I didn't say anything because I was really just trying to be nice and not tick her off anymore - plus I was tight on time too. And, she kept making jokes with her co-workers as they got to leave before her since she was still "stuck" making my food. I felt awkward, but as a paying customer I wasn't doing anything wrong. In the end, the food was decent and no one was flat-out mean, but the business was clearly not run with the customer in mind. This place isn't very different from Panera Bread, but the staff are stuck up and from what I've seen (no offense and not directed to any reviewers here) so are a lot of the people that stop by to eat. I sat in yesterday afternoon with my boyfriend and we were the only ones dressed down while all the business folk sat chatting about charts and economics and the servers gazed at us down their noses. I've been to many other Cosi's around the country and have had a myriad of food and service ranging form "pretty good" to "meh..." The service here = pretty good The food = mehhhh They have the calories listed on the menu which i think it what totally ruined my selection. I went in thinking of a flatbread sandwich with mayo and bacon and all the fixins and I would up with a lame-o Shanglai chicken salad. The lettuce was soggy, the chicken was microwaved, but it was only 316 calories! The highlight of my meal were the 7 small crispy Asian noodles scattered on the top. I was going back and forth in my mind between stars.... they can't help that people outside were protesting some sort of union something or another, they can't help it that I got a lame-o salad when I really wanted something else.... the place was clean, the staff was friendly, and it was a quick bite for lunch. A lot of my coworkers get food from here and I thought why not. This was my first time here and I only came here because it was convenient (Same building as our office). I ordered the Asian salmon salad. To my surprise, the portion sizes are relatively small, I even choose a whole salad. You have the option to choose a half salad or whole. I ordered the Asian salmon said because the combination of items sounded delicious together, but somehow - cosi managed to mess it up. The salad has pineapple in it, but at most, there were five pineapple pieces smaller and they were the size of a tic tac. The same thing can be said about the carrots - there were only five pieces of shredded carrots in my salad. The seasons brittle in side the salad is too big and doesn't quite work with the salad. And way too much dressing was used. Overall, my salad was not a salad and more of 'dressing with some pieces of lettuce and salad chunks on the side.' The only positive thing about this place is the flat bread that comes with your salad. You have the choice between a multigrain and white piece. I got the multigrain and was no disappointed. Nicely toasted and the not overwhelmingly buttery. And the bread has a good texture to it(not too thin). read more

Yes, I enjoy the food here and based on my other options in the building I like them the best. The flat bread, the tomato basil soup and the TBM are some of my favorite things. However, the service here is almost painful. They get very, very busy but more than once my order has just gotten pushed back while others who came in after me have come and gone. Even ordering online doesn't seem to solve this issue. Not only was it not ready at my designated pickup time but it they didn't have the sandwich on my order even though it was clearly stated on the e-mail confirmation I received. As usual, I watched as others came and went while I waited again. To add to it, I just noticed that was actually overcharged on said online order. I was missing it since I moved to Maryland but t alas I found two cosi in the area and do not feel the blues anymore. My favorite foid to eat in cosi is their trademark and one of a kind sandwich flat bread. Cost is the only one that makes this kind of bread. They just recently reopened this location, it was moved to make way for a fitness club. I used to go to the previous one all the time and always had a good experience. I wish I could say the same for the reopened location. They completely changed the layout, and depending what you want, you have to go to multiple lines to order and pay. The old location was very streamlined, you ordered and paid in one stop, got your number and sat right down. With the new layout, it's confusing as to where you need to go. Also, I remember the service being much better and the people being friendlier. When your order, they write it down on a paper twice and tear it in half for you to use to pay. How is this efficient? The old store automatically printed a ticket in the back. I will say that I lie the new decor, and the atmosphere is great. The decorators did a fantastic job, I just wish the layout and flow was more streamlined. read more

I ordered the "roasted vegetable sandwich" and a large Basil Tomato soup and whole-grain bread side, my wife ordered the "grilled Wild Salmon salad" ...sounds good right? What we got was nothing similar to what we ordered. I ended up with a piece of burnt white flatbread, Yes... Burnt, with COLD veg, not grilled-to-order, rather, grilled at some point during the first shift and served later on in the evening. The side of whole grain was just plain flat-bread, not what I ordered. As for the veg on the sandwich, you may be better off licking a garbage bin. The mushrooms were obviously soaked in water to reconstitute them no flavor but burnt toast... They got the Basil tomato soup correct, but obviously heated from a can. We ordered a large, 'got a small. There is NO WAY that the salmon was wild salmon, NO WAY!... It was way too light in color, over-cooked, but cold. When they say it is grilled, we had an expectation that it would be served hot... this is not the case, COLD, not grilled , and DRY... and cold... with grill marks seemingly Painted on (OMG!). This looked like 2 .oz cut into 4 pieces and put on top of a regular garden salad. Mc D's has produced better salad SERIOUSLY,and McD's costs 1/5 th the price. They got everything wrong and cut corners on every dish. I will never go to this slop-house again... WTF is up with charging $13 for smores?! this would be better spent on Pepto Bismol. Ordered peruvian salad. Huge, fresh, with good flavor with only 381 calories. However, the salad was missing avocado. For those who like dressing on the side, this place is great. Ordered salad as is with dressing and it was perfect, not drenched or too light. Price ok at $8.21 (with tax). Service was good. Cashier was not unpleasant but could have been friendlier. There were three people order a young lady daughter and myself. They also were filling online orders. Nonetheless, one of the young ladies needed to get a roll of tape, as they use tape to close the paper of the sandwiches, she could not start the beginning of the tape so she use a knife to do so. Not a problem. However, the other young lady reaches over her to grab the same knife to cut someone sandwich in half. I suggest to her to wash the knife first and her response was it is not your sandwich. What! That's nasty. It would have took all of two seconds to wash that knife off. That get no stars.
