The menu selection is great, and even better that you can bundle 2, where you select a half of one thing to go with a half of another thing. The turkey sandwich and caesar salad was great. Made well and tasty. The herbed mayo is super delicious. Service at this location was getting it done. Jared and Tyrele were both onsite tonight and super personable and helpful. Jared in particular was just a great attitude. Resolving issues as they arise, providing great customer service, staying calm under pressure. Jared was killing it. I really enjoyed the French Dip sandwich! I actually had never tried one before and had been intrigued and I think this was a great introduction! The sandwich itself was tasty with or without the au jus, but with it was like a fun bonus experience, texture, and flavor. I can't necessarily compare it to other French Dip sandwiches, but it felt right to me and I always appreciate a pickle to cut through a sandwich, especially with the kind of rich flavor of the broth. The potato salad was also good as well as the 1/2 sweet tea + 1/2 lemonade! I probably could have done 1/2 unsweetened tea + 1/2 lemonade and would do that in the future, but I wanted to err on the side of caution (sweetness) for this first time. Service was extremely fast-- I'd highly recommend doing a pickup order. They also fill the cup with the liquid and add ice when you get there which I think is a really thoughtful touch, ensuring your drink isn't watered down by the time you get there. I was actually staying at the Pier down the harbor. I walked down the street, to Marshalls and asked the cashier about really just wanting a good deli sandwich and she didn't disappoint. I was so happy, satisfied, and the cashier was so nice and friendly, there were closing up and no attitude just so patient, friendly and polite. We go to the aquarium often and McAlister's is a great place to stop for lunch after. They have a nice rewards program and an easy mobile ordering setup. So, I always place my order as we are getting ready to head out of the aquarium and it's usually ready by the time we walk over. I also like their pick 2 situation, similar to Panera. It's pretty affordable. If you don't get the pick 2 and just order a sandwich, it does come with a free side. I recommend the potato salad. I've tried: - Chicken Tortilla Soup - Creamier than other chicken tortilla soups that I've had. Flavor was good. - Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap - Eh. Not the best. - Smoky Pepperjack Turkey - Loved this sandwich. The bread is fantastic. Turkey seems to be really nice quality and the overall flavor is a hit. - Horseradish Roast Beef and Cheddar - This was also good. Served on the same bread as the turkey. - Potato Salad - Standard but a great free side to your sandwich My 2yo loves the kids toastie meals. He's had the ham and turkey ones. Idk which one he prefers, he crushed them both. They offer great sides with the kids meals. I always get him the broccoli, and he loves it. Stopped in after leaving the gym and returning an item at Marshall's. Been meaning to come in and grab a sandwich, and glad I did. Got the jalapeño turkey crunch and you have a choice of sides( chips, steamed broccoli, tomato and cucumber salad, potato salad). They were out of the cucumber and tomato salad, I opted for the potato salad. That Turkey sandwich was really good. The sliced Turkey was nice and fresh, with the avocado and jalapeños chips. I couldn't finish it all, took the rest home. The restaurant is nice and clean inside. You can Carryout or dine in. The staff was very polite and professional. I agree with the mixed reviews here. A lot of potential but def needs some improvement is a reoccurring theme here. I came here for the first time on a Monday evening with a T-Mobile redemption I wanted to use. I got the Choose 2 and picked a half a sandwich and half a Spud. I customized both which was a nice feature. The potato was delicious, but that's pretty hard to mess up. They actually gave me a whole potato instead of half which was awesome! That kind of made up for the super small sandwich which didn't feel like half, more like a quarter. It was the McAllister club sandwich which was delicious but I only really got 2 or 3 bites since it was so small. I customized the potato to just get butter, cheese, salt & sour cream. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The deli is super clean, bathrooms were clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The meal would have been $11.69 without my redemption, the cookie was $2.32. Reasonably priced, reminds me of a mix between Panera & Subway. Parking can be tricky, there is street parking you can pay for or garage parking you can pay for. Not a lot of people were there at all but customer service was a bit slow. The cashier was really young and new so it took her a bit to get my order before the manager had to step in to finish the order. Personally I would recommend having someone new shadow until they get the hang of it, but she did alright. I got the chocolate chip cookie and a drink as well. The cookie was good! Never again, never!! Ordered Barqs root beer with food. Got the rest of order, no drink. Delivery person played store response, saying it was stores fault. No offer of reimbursement for missing item. Was offer 2.00 credit, soda more than that. When I tried to say, what about credit for missing item,was told "we credited you 2.00via text message. Why not credit me for the undelivered item? I have used McAllister Deli in other cities, never a problem!! Unable to reach store, only offered to leave voice mail. Baltimore you lost a customer, Uber eats you did too. Normally this had NEVER been issue. Super awesome staff. The lady I believe it was on a Thursday was so nice to newer customers like myself. I told her I had diabetes and she put me on with your delicious unsweetened tea. This same lady called her regular customers out by name and she pretty much knew what people wanted. Maryland finally has a McAlister's! Added bonus it's within walking distance of my work. Happy dance! There's a McAlister's near my mom in Knoxville, TN. So I am very familiar with the restaurant. The location here in Baltimore is new. Employees are so sweet. The menu is comparable to an upscale Panera. I much prefer McAlister's. By far! I love the choose two options. Salads, soups, sandwiches and spuds, aka baked potatoes. The spuds are always cooked perfectly. So many toppings options. The restaurant is clean, bright with some Baltimore touches. I can already see myself spending countless fall and winter days there or picking up dinner to go. As a Southerner, I have a special love for McAlister's menu, and I'm so excited to have it close by. The concept is a perfect fit for the Inner Harbor! I'm very happy after my event today. It wasn't the food that was the letdown, but it was the attitude of the delivery driver. Normally I don't make complaints on the delivery driver because I hardly ever have issues. But today it needed to be done. To start I typed out the delivery instructions to be delivered at the back entrance of the building because catering unfortunately can't go through the front. I didn't catch the driver's name, but she calls me and informs me that she was on the corner. I let her know I'm at the back door and unfortunately can't meet you because I don't have access to get back inside, if I met her outside. I gave her a landmark and name of a building; along the same street I was on. Her tone elevates, why it did that I don't know, but she claims that's how she speaks. She goes to down the opposite street and when she had to walk back up to meet me ( which was not far) she greets me with a condescending attitude, even after I apologized for the mix up. I will submit the invoice from today, but sadly, after this experience I won't be ordering again from McAllister. After speaking to the account manager, Lorraine Howland, she was VERY apologetic and informed me that they use a 3rd party delivery service and would be putting in a compliment. To rectify the situation she compted my catering order, which she honestly didn't have to, but it was appreciated. As of now, I'm not sure if I'll reorder from them, but it's still early. read more

My office ordered a meal from here for a company event and I ended up getting food poisoning from it. I ended up in the hospital for four days from eating the food from this restaurant. We got the food around 12:00 PM. We concluded lunch at 12:45 PM. By 1:30 Pm I was getting violently ill in the bathroom at my workplace with vomiting, diarrhea, cold sweats and abdominal pain like I have never experienced before in my life. When the EMTs saw me they knew immediately it was food poisoning. My coworker confirmed "It could hit her like this so quick after eating?" and the EMT responded "Yes! Absolutely!". When I informed the establishment they proceeded to call me at 7:15 AM on the Monday (1 day) after I got out of the hospital to discuss my claim. As if having food poisoning over the 4th of July weekend ruining all my plans with my family and causing so much unneeded stress, they decide that 7:15 AM on a Monday is the right time to call and talk. After discussion they "Conducted an investigation" i which they took information out of context from our call and twisted it to their advantage and determined "It wasn't me". Refunded the order and offered me 4 free meals. Because they had no fault, right? I don't think anyone from my company will be ordering from this establishment again and I can sure as heck tell you I won't be either. Transparency and public awareness are more valuable than a free sandwich to me. Eat here at your own risk. read more

Disappointing to say the least. Have gone before and always been happy. Not so much tonight. Our food took well over an hour to come with no real explanation as to why. When we tried to ask we were assured they knew we were waiting a long time. Everyone around us got their food before us even though they were seated after us. Food finally comes and is not the normal good food I had been in the past. Then when the bill came there were no apologies for the delay no offer to comp even a drink or offer of free dessert just see you later and you can pay full price for waiting 1.5 hours to eat bland undercooked food. I received the delivery in a timely fashion and for 3 sandwiches, one soda, and a bag of chips I paid $60.00. I had sooo much lettuce on my sandwich it was ridiculous. I've been to several McAlister's in the southern U.S. and this location does not hold a candle to them. If you come here looking for the same hospitality and food quality, you won't find it here. The cashier was half-asleep and hardly engaging. My McAlister's club was dry, my broccoli cheddar soup was watery, and I couldn't even show off how good their spuds were to my friend because they were out of potatoes. Heads up, the food's great, but management seems chaotic. Apparently, I'm not the only one. Out of ten of us who used to work there, none were rehired despite promises. They brought me on, talked about a full schedule, but then... nothing. It's baffling. Some people work full weeks, all day, while others get a measly two days every two weeks for a job that underpays them. Plus, there's this manager who seems to favor other gay men, which feels weirdly sexist towards the rest of us, especially the women. Then, the cherry on top: I get fired without any notice. One day I try to log into the schedule app and...nope. Access denied. I call to find out what's wrong, and that's when they hit me with the casual "oh, you're fired." Look, the food is fantastic. But honesty? Transparency? Those seem to be missing from the menu.
