At here on a recent afternoon! We all had lunch specials, the pad see ew was really delicious as was the pad Thai. The coconut custard for dessert was also a stand out. Very cute interior and the service was fantastic! They were really accommodating to the elderly person I was with and her walker. Thank you.

I was drawn in by the great reviews and traveled specifically to try your Thai food, as the menu looked very promising. However, I was disappointed to see a "C" restaurant rating, which was a major turnoff -- especially since it was hidden behind a billboard. Please consider addressing the cleanliness issues, as this could cause you to lose many potential customers.

I ordered the panang curry ($17) and it was yummy! Definitely had a good amount of spice to it. I would love to come back and try the pineapple fried rice next. The boba tea (Large $8) was really good. The service was quick and the server was very nice. Ambiance is calming and relaxing.

Perfect lunch special spot. It was a friday around 1pm sat down and ordered from the lunch special. You get a spring roll and salad with your entree. I ordered one of the fried rice options with chicken and a fried egg. Great flavor and price point.

I asked for extra protein they provided none. I asked for medium spicy. They provided none. They also beg for tips even tho you are picking up ur food to GO. and once they see you do not give a tip here comes the attitude. Also no utensils in the bag. Just $17 of overcooked noodles. Yuck

I visited Corthaiyou on Sunday for lunch after attending church. I had the Thai Iced Tea for my drink and it tasted very good. For my appetizer, I ordered the Chicken Satay. I enjoyed it. The chicken was fresh and well prepared. The dipping sauce complimented the chicken. For my entree, I had the Pad See Ew with Chicken. It was delicious as well. The server was very friendly and she provided excellent customer service. The restaurant was quiet since it was an early Sunday afternoon. Everything tasted very good and I would return to try other items on the menu.

What a delightful new Thai place added to Kensington! I dined here on a Sunday evening, and it was busy :) Met a friend here, and was able to order until 9:45PM, as they close at 10PM. She lives nearby and was happy to hear how late they stay open considering other places in the area close earlier. We started with the Curry Puffs, which is a set of 3 and comes with dipping sauce. I had the large portion of Tom Kha soup, which was a healthy portion for $13. Note- it contains chicken already so if you're vegetarian or vegan make sure you note the server. My friend had the Salmon soup dish which was the perfect amount of spice - and a side of coconut rice. They also have cocktails! Not liquor based, however they delightfully recreate classics using Sake. I had a Lemon Gingerita and she had a similar drink made of Cucumber. Very refreshing! The highlight of the place is the authenticity. There are pictures of Thai culture and they play Thai music to create an ambiance that truly transports you to Bangkok or Chang Mai. The servers even speak Thai - as they saluted me on my way out with a "Sawasdeeka" (thank you ma'am in Thai)! Only docking a star for the closeness of the tables. It doesn't give you much of an opportunity to have an intimate conversation. Also unfortunately they serve takeout menus as the menus... which is a bit lackluster, however the food/drinks/customer service/ambiance is top notch. Make sure you visit!

I definitely will go back the food was pretty good. I personally did not like the Steamed Dumplings as they lacked a lot of flavor. The lychee tea was pretty delicious. The Pad See Ew was absolutely delicious!!

Amazing meal! Flavorful, quick, and delicious. Dim, romantic setting, perfect for date night. Great meal to start a vacation.

This place is delicious!! We sat outside and I was eaten alive by mosquitoes but have no fear - they have bug spray. I absolutely love their thin spring rolls - so delicious and chewy. The meals feel very authentic and great vibes. Will come again!

I've been ordering food from Corthaiyou for yrs but just recently decided to go have a sit down dining experience to give it an honest review. As you enter you can't miss the floral arrangements an the Asian art decor, the space is not huge but it super clean and neat. There's a cute little window area where you can sit, eat and ppl watch (lol) I was greeted and seated in a mere matter of secs, everyone was polite and did their job extremely well, all my questions was answer to fullest about the menu. I ordered the lychee sparkling soda which was delish and had the actual lychee fruit in it and I loved every bit of it. I also ordered the veggie dumplings with fried scallion, they had to good soy sauce (if you're a New Yorker you know what I mean haha) and to top of off so had my go to favorite shrimp pad Thai, the portion was generous, it was flavorful and I left nothing on the plate. Overall they get a 10/10 and will be back to visit soon.

Beautifully decorated Thai restaurant. Love the floral and romantic atmosphere, perfect for a date. We ordered the fried squid, sriracha wings, grilled pork salad, and Lab Moo. The pork apps were both sooo good. We asked for extra spicy and they for sure made it extra spicy! For the mains we ordered crab fried rice, crab curry, and pad kee mow. The flat noodles were soft and chewy and the crab dishes had plenty of crab meat. The cocktails were also beautiful i recommend the sangria and mango tang

The Mama Tom Yum Grilled River Prawns came with stir-fried instant noodles that were surprisingly tasty, well-seasoned and aromatic, and the prawns on top made it even better. The presentation was pretty eye-catching too. As for the Ground Pork Basil Fried Egg, it didn't have lemongrass, so it felt like it was missing a layer of aroma, but the minced pork was stir-fried until nice and dry, and mixing it with the runny egg yolk made for a satisfying combo over rice. The RUA Volcano reminded me a bit of American-style salt-and-pepper chicken, though not exactly the same--it had more of an American-Chinese vibe to it. The Thai Iced Tea wasn't overly sweet and had a stronger tea flavor, which I appreciated. The Butterfly Pea Lychee Soda was sweet and tangy, refreshing and light. Overall, each dish had its own standout point, and the meal definitely lived up to expectations.

Loved that every table had fresh flowers; you can tell they really care about the little details. We ordered quite a bit and honestly, everything was on point: · Lychee Thai Iced Tea & Yuzu Pop - both refreshing and not too sweet (huge plus for me since I don't have a big sweet tooth). · Moo Ping - solid start to the meal. · Salmon Mango (GF) - the salmon was cooked through (which I asked for), and the mango salad underneath was light and tangy. The sweet fruit with the savory fish worked way better than I expected. · Pineapple Fried Rice - came with shrimp, nice wok aroma, and that perfect sweet-tangy pineapple kick. · Pineapple Lychee Crispy Duck (GF) - duck skin was nice and crispy, and the coconut-based sauce with lychee and pineapple kept it from feeling heavy or greasy. · Branzino Chili Lime (GF) - came out piping hot, classic Thai-style sour broth that paired perfectly with the fish. No fishy taste at all, and the texture was tender. Even the drinks and dessert weren't overly sweet, which was a pleasant surprise. Lunch in Brooklyn during in-between meetings of my professional duties of a Wednesday afternoon…read moresummons Thai cuisine. Pad Kee Mao (aka Drunken Noodles), chicken $15.00 Stir-fried flat rice noodle, bamboo shoots, garlic, basil, fresh chili, onion, carrot, string bean, bell pepper, long hot chili The flat rice noodle quantity was sufficient, but minimal and there were too much onion, insufficient string bean, two paucity pieces of carrot. I dislike bamboo shoot which is not a standard ingredient for this particular entrée. I think the bamboo shoot tainted this entrée. I am a traditionalist conservative which bean sprouts is a good substitute variation for bamboo shoot vegetable including string bean. This entrée is my favorite default and as a caveat, if any Thai restaurant or cafe do not offer on their menu I refuse entry to patronize. This entrée enticed my interest and embedded the lunch meal menu for the reasonable price. I personally despise and do not consume spicy hot foods, but occasionally consume mild or very mild in the smallest measurement of the Scoville scale which I specifically requested, but received medium hot spicy. The waitress forewarned me the intense heat level on the Scoville scale as Thai cultural spicy with two or more bird's eye chilies for a high level of spiciness. The spiciness of chili peppers were, in my opinion, medium spicy. Despite the intense medium heat spiciness, the stir-fried noodles lacked flavor with, tender chicken, minimal vegetables, and Thai basil in a bland taste. I wish I chosen shrimp as the protein. Pad Kee Mao sustained my hunger pangs and ate my fill. When eating Thai intense heat spicy foods, I visualize to think of the TV segment "Niall Horan & James Corden Take On Hot Wings" on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in March, 2020. High heat spicy foods! Thai ice tea, large $3.00 This was a delight and neutralized the heat spiciness because it contains milk. It was served chilled in a large highball glass. Samyan is a Thai cafe located in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, NYC and accessible via MTA NYC Transit C local train at Clinton-Washington subway station. This cafe is a independently owned and operated, thankfully. The waitress did check-in with me during my meal for attentive customer service. If utensils are gold then the interior cafe should contain these "gaudy" feature extensive gold elements, including gilded moldings and furniture. Peony rose are very simply and made pretty table centerpiece decorations. Takeout menu and business cards are available for grabs. I did received my sales receipt. At the bottom of the sales receipt there is a suggested gratuity in intervals of 18%, 20% and 22% where customers do not have to perform math calculation. I paid $23.00 in cash as the waitress' informative knowledge of the ingredients and preparation of the heat level on the Scoville scale.

My partner was running late, and even though the place is clearly very popular right now, they still accommodated us with a table. The staff explained every unfamiliar dish we asked about, always with a smile. I usually avoid the standard NYC Thai restaurant lineup of pad thai + generic curry situations and look for places that feel more regional and authentic. The menu here had a bunch of dishes I didn't recognize, which immediately made me excited. They even have a spice guide though the icons don't necessarily mean increasing spice levels. As I understood it, different symbols represent different types of heat. Three chili emojis and three meteor emojis may be equally spicy, but they hit differently. They recommended not to order the pad krapow nuer, and honestly, fair enough. Instead, we got the chicken khao soi, which was far better than versions I've had elsewhere - deeply flavorful, spicy, rich with umami. My partner was crying. I, meanwhile, was at "this is perfect and I'm having a great time." One Huge chunk of chicken cooked exactly right. Mix everything thoroughly before eating. Then came the kua kling which arrived with another warning. That dish became my personal challenge to impress the server, and apparently I succeeded because now they've promised that next time they won't discourage me from ordering the nuer. They kept refilling cabbage and cucumber for us to cool down from the heat. The kua kling itself was incredible. That dry curry heat was everything. It builds slowly, then suddenly punches you in the face - but alongside all that spice is an insane amount of flavor. They also recommended to order a non-spicy side dish to have a balanced meal and spice level, but we skipped it because it would've been too much food. Honestly, this is the kind of place where going with at least four people is ideal so you can try more dishes and balance the spice levels. And if you're unsure what to order, trust the servers - their recommendations were spot on. Also: really great ciders and beers. We were really happy with both choices. Overall, even though it's far from the city for me, I'd absolutely go back.

The restaurant is tiny, so be sure to make a reservation. As a lover of spicy food, the spiciness in the dishes really brought out such a great flavor. Since my friend didn't eat as spicy, we found a happy medium getting just slightly spicy dishes which were all fantastic. We ordered the Khao Soi ($33) and Pla Tod Nam Pla ($40). The khao soi wasn't too spicy, especially since the broth has a creaminess and the spicies are on the side before mixing, which you can exclude. The chicken was so tender, but did come with bone so this can be trickier to share. Then the pla tod really surprised me, but I can definitely see why it's the best seller. It is a fried branzino with a marinated fish sauce which goes so nicely with all the crunch. There are a few remaining pieces of bone, so be careful. The fish had a nice balance of fish meat and crunchy skin. If you're looking for a unique Thai spot, this is it. Also, perfect spot for spicy lovers too. They also offer a huge selection of alcohol.
