Colleen ..

Adorable cafe in Newport. Cozy small got here very early and didn't have to wait but you could see how busy it could get. We're in the off-season too! Sweetest wait service .. love the accent!!! food was very yummy. Price is really reasonable. I definitely must go to for breakfast when in the area.

California benny

Actually pretty good. We came here to enjoy tennis at the Newport Hall of famed and wanted brunch beforehand They're very, very, very small place. It's very tight. The line goes around the corner. Since it was just the two of us. They moved us ahead and had a seated at the bar which is not my preferred seating. But whatever. Maybe because it was Sunday and brunch hours were prime. California special Benedict. It came with avocado, toast, spinach, roasted vegetables, home fries. I added some pork sausage. It was a lot of food. I couldn't finish it all. I also got a cup of tea. They're tee options are not great. The other complaint I would have is that their bathroom is really insufficient. They have one bathroom for the entire establishment which is not acceptable. They actually have a waitlist for the bathroom. WTF. I get that they're small but they really need to fix that. That's not going to fly when they're very busy, especially during brunch hours. I don't know what their parking situation is but most of it's on the street and on Sunday it's free. Overall I think the price is okay given the quality of the food. All of my food plus my friends was over $60. It's a little bit on the high side if you ask me but given the food was tasty, I'll let it slide. I think if you're in the area you should give it a shot

This restaurant is a must go to if you're in Newport, RI! There's always a line, but it's worth the wait and it moves so fast! The service is the best I've seen! The owner checked on our table and the waiter was so attentive. The ambiance was very comforting. There's a lot of people fit into a small space, but it still feels so spacious. The food is amazing! They give you great portions, it comes out hot, and it's very flavorful. There's a variety of options which makes it so hard to choose from. I wish I could eat here every morning.

Love the food here. I ordered the california Benny. Potato is well season with pepper. Love the poach eggs, with spinach and pepper. Wife got the victoria omlette, which i think is ok, but she loved it. Kids got the French toast and pancake. They both love the food, and pretty much cleaned the plate. We sat in the corner, which is fitting since the name of the restaurant is corner cafe. It is a cute spot, like sitting in a bay window. Service is very attentive.

Great service. Delicious breakfast! This is a very cute place but does get busy but we were able to be seated within 10 minutes. Food came out fast as well and service was wonderful. The breakfast was really good and the potatoes were some of the best I've had in a while. Tried the cowboy scramble but there's a lot of unique options! If you're staying in the area, it's a short walk and worth it !!!

Luna burrito

My mind was blown! It is very busy which typically I don't like.. but here I am MORE than okay with it!!! The waitresses I had were just amazing kind and considerate! The food.. I was NOT expecting how absolutely amazing it was! I had the Claudia's pick with rye bread and it just so yummy!! My fiancé had the Luna burrito and highly enjoyed it. I am definitely coming back and I am going to recommend it to EVERYONE!

My friend and I were in the area on a weekday to visit the Audrain Automobile Museum and based on some reviews, we decided to have some breakfast here beforehand. It's a cute place, with plenty of parking in the area and about a dozen tables inside. Although it was a busy, the food came out at a good time and the service was good. I decided to have a typical breakfast - potatoes, English muffin, eggs, and bacon with an order of French toast for dessert. I was mostly excited about the potatoes because of what other customers commented; I was pleased with the pesto like flavor they had. The bacon was cooked well, but on the thinner end. The English muffin was grilled with butter, delicious. The French toast was simple, and regular bread was used (instead of the thick bread) so the syrup was able to penetrate through better. I would be happy to come back and try other items since their menu has a lot to offer.

Wooten's French Toast with Maple Pecan Butter... Wow!

What a cute place! Beth was an awesome server who, thankfully, told me to try the Wooten's French Toast with the DELICIOYS, homemade Pecan Maple Butter before using syrup... great advice! I had 2 eggs over easy on the side as well. It is a popular place with delicious and unique food, so expect a line outside. YUMMY!

We heard so much about this place and finally got to try it out! We waited outside for about 10 minutes, and we're seated in a really nice comfy booth. Service was very good, all staff were friendly and kind! The food was decent. Really depends on what you get. The California Benny was delicious, perfectly poached egg, fresh ingredients with peppers and spinach. Home fries are the large potato kind. Do not recommend multigrain French toast with apples.. The mix of ingredients did not gel well at all. But the staff was very kind and gave us our money back! On the other hand, the spice chai latte was delicious! We wanted to come back and get it to go, too bad they do not take to go orders.

Cute atmosphere. Tasty food. Ok coffee. Friendly service. This was the perfect breakfast spot on our trip! Service wasn't amazing (our server was having an off morning) and it was a slow-paced breakfast, but everyone was friendly and it gave our table plenty of time to catch up and visit!

Longhorn burger
Tracy C.

There was quite a line when we arrived, but we were seated in about 15 minutes. There was seating indoors & outdoors, but we chose outdoors because the indoor seating was quite dim. We ordered the egg, bacon, and potato sourdough plates & the Longhorn burger with fries, and the pancakes topped with yogurt, raspberry, blueberry, and blackberry. Everything was delicious. The potatoes were especially well seasoned, and the Longhorn burger was cooked perfectly. All the portions were good. The service was excellent. It was sometimes hard because our server was inside, but she was very nice. FYI, there are a lot of bees outside so be aware!!!

Cinnamon French toast & bacon

Delicious breakfast in a cute restaurant with chill vibes. It's a popular place so get there around 8:30 and you won't have to stand in the long line that starts to form after 9:30. We ate at the bar and were able to chat with the staff who were super friendly. He ordered pancakes and bacon and I got the cinnamon French toast, bacon and an iced caramel cappuccino. The food portions are big so neither of us could finish. My iced cappuccino was smaller than I was expecting but was delicious.

We went here for breakfast right before 9am yesterday and there was already a line outside the restaurant. They had both outdoor and indoor seating, which made the line move quickly. We only waited for about 10 minutes before getting our table. We had blueberry pancakes, hash browns, and a breakfast sandwich. Everything was amazing here! We really loved the blueberry pancakes, they were bursting with blueberries and so tasty! The hash browns also were super unique and had a spiced olive oil topping, that was really good! We enjoyed all of the food here and would wait again to go here in the future!

She was nice enough to let me try them and I chose the Trevino which was very good and paired great with my food. The bread was nothing special but solid and the high quality olive oil made up for it. For my main I got the chicken milanese and it was divine. I loved the vinaigrette on top perfectly acidic and vinegary. It cut though the oil and heaviness of the breading which was perfectly salted by the way. The arugula bean salad was sooo good and created such a well balanced meal. The one thing I will say is I believe their fryer does fish and chicken bc my chicken had a slight ocean taste but since I like fish I was not bothered but non fish people beware!

Bottom line: truly good 'New York' style and quality pizza!…read more Rhode Island is a pizza desert. For this former (and always in my heart) New Yorker, getting pizza in this state is usually a disappointing, painful experience. There's 'Rhode Island' style pizza which can be OK, but let's face it - it's not pizza. It's flatbread. Sometimes you just gotta have a true New Yorker slice. Nothing fancy, just a 'pizza joint' slice like you can get on any street in New York. Dripping with gooey melted cheese, crispy crust, thin but not like a cracker, sauce that isn't 'sweet.' Checkers pizza is it. A slice is enormous, the size of two slices anywhere else. It captures the 'New York pizza joint' slice very well. By New York standards it's good. By Rhode Island standards it's OMG this is amazing run don't walk run to get it! NO other option to pay an advance order online than ccard so 4.5% is automatic upcharge. Next the "TIP"----I ordered pickup last week like SBUX the payment has an advance "TIP" on a pick-up order AND charging me 4.5% for ccard before I even get to taste the food or look at it. COVID is OVER. Pay your staff in the kitchen and stop with the "tip for pickup" it is soo annoying. I tip like crazy when I eat in or delivery..... but pickup?! STOP. This type of BS by fast food/pizza joints, diners, cafe's are forcing diner's back to Stop&Shop, Domino's, or Chili's or even high-end restaurants cuz they aren't much more than YOU! bc they offer VALUE which you no longer do. You forgot you were the cheap option for people--nothing more. Now you are expensive and mediocre= THE worst position. Same reason Starbucks is going to go under. If I can't taste my food/coffee FIRST, why on earth do you expect, earn or deserve a TIP from me "up front"? Esp when the food sucked, items missing, or timing is off. YOU should pay ME A TIP BACK when I pay in advance, and the food or service sucked. See how it feels right? Ordered a large cheese(really the size of a medium)pizza. It had a paper thin layer of cheese and just a slight touch of sauce on it. Literally a piece of cooked dough. If I did tip I woulda been piiiissssed. A $5 Newman's Own frozen pizza is HALF THE COST of your 4.5% upcharge and "adv tip for pickup" ALONE! and it easily crushed this Nikolas dough pie. I despise Domino's/chains but they have ya beat now. Lastly, at pickup the cashier stares at the receipt when you pick it up to ensure "you know they know you" didn't "tip-FOR pickup". I hate to know what happens back there to our food when we don't "tip for pay in advance- pickup" orders. Yeah I am not going there. But thankfully I won't know again. 20 years going and that is DEF my last trip. **Advice to consumers-CALL the pickup order in and pay when you get there. They will still stare at you for not tipping on a pickup order but at least your food is not effed up(or worse). Oh and if you do tip on advance pickup orders and the food sucks get your damn tip and your $$ back from the cashier/cook cuz they are glad to take/keep your $ even for extra bad food/svc.

We arrived a little early for our 4:00 p.m. reservation, and the place was already packed. While we waited by the bar, a very nice waitress took our drink order--a lemon drop martini, beautifully crafted, well-balanced, and pleasantly strong. We were seated shortly after and, of course, ordered another. (Both times, I took several sips before remembering to take a photo!) Our waitress, Mikela, was truly lovely--sincere, sweet, and very courteous. She was attentive throughout the meal without ever being intrusive, which made the experience feel relaxed and effortless. At the end, I told her I wished I could give her 6 stars, but Yelp only allows 5. For dinner, we both ordered the seared rare ahi tuna steak. I had mine with garlic bread, while my husband chose mashed potatoes. I also added the $9.95 salad buffet, which is such a great deal--you definitely won't leave hungry. I especially love their buffet-style salad bar, which offers nearly every option one could want. Both of our ahi tuna steaks were fantastic--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Once again, I dug into my tuna before remembering to take a photo! We finished the meal with a cheesecake to share--another delicious ending to a wonderful dinner. I got here around 4 pm and the parking situation wasn't honestly an issue. The music isn't over powering and the overall layout makes it seem very homey. depending on where you sit you have a nice view of the kitchen where the chefs are diligently preparing the food. The starter bread is nice and dense with good flavor, it reminds me of a sour dough. The olive oil that comes standard at the table is robust and has a very nice flavor to it. I ordered the pasta bolognese, the taste and acidity of the sauce is pretty standard, a little on the acidic side but i tend to enjoy it like that. The house made pasta (or whichever kind of pasta is used) is well picked. The pasta picks up the sauce well and the mouthfeel is hard to beat; I want to attribute that to the house made aspect of it. I also got one of their seasonal cocktails called the paper plane which was refreshing. It was a little tart, definitely tastes of grape fruit with the lemon garnish also contributing to the taste. However I'm not sure how well it paired with pasta alla bolognese. To finish I got the crème brûlée. For me it's always a toss up between that and key lime pie every time so when a place offers both I usually have to flip a coin. For those who have had crème brûlée, it's overall a pretty simple dessert. The portion size was a huge plus for me. The sugar top had just a hint of burnt taste (obviously!) but you could really tell; and that is something I honestly don't mind. As for the crème it was nice, light, smooth with a hint of lemon I think. The staff are very friendly and attentive. I'm typically a solo diner but at least from what I saw they are capable of accommodating parties of about 10 so long as you call ahead first to let them know. I have to assume given the time of year it's "less packed" than normal because outdoor dining is pretty much not an option in march. This is my first time in the state of Rhode Island and subsequently the first time in Newport. I found them out through the Resy app, and decided to give it a shot. In all honestly because of the vibes, the food and the area, if you are ever in the area I would definitely try this spot out for some pretty good Italian.
