The space feels like a beautiful greenhouse oasis, a thoughtfully designed environment that creates a sense of serenity whether you choose to sit indoors or outside. The staff are equally welcoming and friendly, which adds to the overall charm and warmth of this coffee roaster. With a full page beverage and food menu, MoonGoat is much more than just a place for coffee. They offer a nice variety of food as well. I only wish their selection of desserts and sweets were a bit more expansive and appealing. We ordered the iced Marsala coffee and a latte. The beans were perfectly roasted, delivering a wonderful depth and richness to both drinks. Each cup was smooth, flavorful and thoroughlly enjoyable. We also tried the gluten free pecan cake. I loved that it wasn't overly sweet which allowed the flavorrs to come through naturally. The cake itself was slightly plain, but the generous pecan/toffee topping added the richness and texture it needed and made each bite much more satisfying. I could easily sit here for hours, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and the thoughtfully designed space. It's the kind of coffee shop where you want to slow down, linger and simply enjoy the moment.

I ordered the banana hojicha latte with regular milk. It was decently good. I love how they use real banana, it always enhances the flavor by a lot. I do wish the hojicha was a bit stronger, but that is my personal preference. I'm not sure if it was diluted by regular milk and would have stood out more with alternative choices. I do think the drinks here are on the more expensive side, so I don't think I would come here as frequently. Anyways, I've gone many times over the years and always recommend Sidecar to everyone I come across (if donuts come up in conversation). I went yesterday as well and my gosh, the quality has not changed! Sidecar always amazes me and whoever I bring. They live up to the "hype." In my book, they make the best product, period. Their huckleberry donut and choc-o-lot are absolute classics. Their seasonal pumpkin cinnamon roll donut was great as well. Their staff is always friendly and attentive. 10/10 recommend.

This year specifically, I've noticed a couple of things that have made my experience go severely downhill. I've visited about five times, expecting to grab my favorite toast of theirs that I've had for years (Pan Con Tomate) and they have been out consistently back to back of that item. I've literally tried 3 separate times and been told they simply ran out of tomatoes. If it's that inconsistent, I'd hope they'd take it off their menu and post it as a special. But what bothers me the most is that the service is so nonchalant that it comes off as rude. No greeting, smile, positive energy.. giving off a vibe that they'd rather be anywhere else than behind the coffee bar. Sad to see the experience decline as it's been a favorite of mine and somewhere i always have hyped up to friends. Hopefully things pick up.
