this is a convenient location that opens early. It's right next to Starbucks. I opted for a quick breakfast and got a hot latte and a spinach egg wrap. Great service, and fantastic pancakes. There's been a couple times our food was never brought out, or was missing a knife, but the service and food outweighs the small misses. There's a super kind (Hispanic?) gentleman in the morning who practically knows us - we are regulars for the pancakes made to perfection. We prefer them moist and soft, and Corner Bakery is all about that. We also like to put honey on them, and Corner Bakery is always stocked! We really enjoy this place. I stayed at a hotel nearby, so I came to the mall to find my lunch. Without research, I walked by Corner Bakery, which seemed similar to Panera Bread, I walked in to order panini and soup. I waited in line to order, and when the group before me moved to the front, I moved to their spot. There was still space between us, but the guy taking orders yelled at me to move back to the entrance, which I did. I wish I had sensed his rudeness at this point to walk away. When he took my order, since it was my first time, I asked some questions, but he was very impatient. After I paid and he handed me a receipt, he didn't bother to say "thank you" to me, which is the basic manner. The food came out quickly, but nothing impressed me. It's not so bad that I couldn't swallow but it's not good enough for me to go back. The restaurant was not dirty, but not enough to be called as clean. I just finished my food and left quickly. As far as sandwiches places go; this one was top-notch. Friendly, helpful service that moved quickly. Went for both breakfast and lunch. Choices range from a full breakfast to a breakfast sandwich or wrap. Lots of varied salads. Sandwiches include various core sandwiches as well as paninis. Has pasta as well. Okay the food is pretty solid. However, the manager is rude not only to customers but also her employees. It is so discouraging to see her roll her eyes rather employee like they are dumb and then tap tap tap on the screen with her long nails and be dismissive to both me as a customer and the super sweet employee trying to help me. I stay at the westin 7 nights a month and have been eating bfast there for years at least 2x per month. The old manage was awesome and great to customers and employees. This is a wonderful spot inside the Galleria mall very close to the second floor entrance of the Westin Hotel. The menu is so big but I have tried several breakfast items and they all were delicious! The grain bowl was tasty and perfect, the bacon, egg, and cheese panini was filling and appetizing. One morning they even swapped out the panini for a croissant which was also very good. It is visible dirty everywhere, and the coffee was terrible, they still have 4 "options" or at least the buckets, Decaf, Europe, Hazelnut cream, and Italian, I tried them all and they were the same. My favorite was the Hazelnut cream but is not hazelnut cream anymore :( , I tried the anaheim panini and the yogurt & fruit parfait and they were ok but with those dirty floors and dirty plates on the tables I don't think I am coming back. The salad looked like iceberg that had wilted. Even the tomatoes in the salad were soggy. And only 2 little slices of Avocado? Well, seems you can't judge the book (or in this case restaurant) by the cover (or store name) as it was two TOTALLY different experiences. Again, in Irving it was STELLAR, but at this location, I wish I could have gotten my money back it was so bad. The Panini came out with the bread burned, two of the main ingredients were missing from the sandwich, and it was just downright greasy. I took it back, minutes later (after already waiting a while for the prior one) out came another with the ingredients right, but still greasy just like the first. How could two restaurants belonging to the SAME CHAIN be so different in their meal prep to cause such a disparity in experience?! They completely botched an order and when we confronted them about quality of the salad ordered the attitude they displayed made us think we're talking with Sinaloa Cartel. Absolutely horrible. This is on the second floor of the galleria above the ice skating rink in the middle. It's a great place (and way too addictive when you work in the office building attached to it). I like this place both for breakfast and lunch, everything tastes good, although it is a little pricy for what you get. In the mornings I've had their steel cut oats (delicious with brown sugar/cranberries/currants/walnuts), their breakfast paninis (really small, and overpriced in my opinion), and one of their muffins (too sweet). For lunch I am absolutely addicted to their lemon chicken orzo soup. It is incredible with red peppers and a strong lemon flavor, it's my favorite thing on their menu and it's actually very well priced for the portion you get. The bread you get with it is WAY too delicious, and I'm lucky they only give me one piece because I could probably eat a loaf of it in one sitting. Their club panini is very tasty too, but, again, a little expensive for the portion size. It will still fill you up if you eat the sides as well. The stand out item from this location is the employees who are always incredibly nice and friendly. The kitchen is a little slow, but that's not the cashier's fault. The manager here is very nice too and will usually come out and check on you if you're sitting inside the restaurant, but not if you're sitting in the larger seating area outside. read more
