Their food and service are quite good, and the atmosphere is welcoming. I've tried their chicken fried steak, BLT, and catfish. I've also tried their fried pickle chips. All of it was good. I love going to the one by the Park Lane train station. I've been there several times. They're always crowded after church lets out, but their service is of a high quality even then. read more

We always enjoyed Normas but have been for a few years since moving away. The food is as good as always. We enjoy the breakfast menu but everything is really great!!! The service is awesome. The waitresses have all been here for years and have the old school waitress work ethics. My coffee cup and water never ran dry. My roommate wanted breakfast for dinner so we ended up going her one week night. It is in the corner of a shopping center. The sign said seat yourself so we sat at a booth and grabbed menus from the host stand where the sign was. All the booths have the Texas flag as the back which I thought was a nice touch. I got the Country Breakfast $13.72 with Chicken Fried Steak, ordered my 2 eggs over easy. The CFS was large and delicious, good ratio of breading to meat and maintained some crispness even though it was covered with gravy. It comes with your choice of hashbrowns or grits, I got the hashbrowns and forgot to order them extra crispy but to my pleasant surprise they came out extra crispy anyway. You also get a choice of biscuit or toast and I went with the biscuit. It is a good size but was super stale and hard. Must have been from the morning. The CFS was delicious and I basically put my eggs and the hashbrowns on top of it making a scramble basically. The only thing that kept this from being perfect was the biscuit. Our server was nice enough, did not give her name. A manager stopped by to deliver our food and get refills too. All in all, pretty good all around and I would gladly go back! read more

The glaze carrots were OK. The cornbread had a weird flavor that I had to throw out. I don't know what happened to the Food but I'm sorry but Boston market has better chicken fried steak than what this place has.. I was hoping for a better meal considering I paid $20 for this and got crap that did not taste good and was edible. I doubt I will ever be back.. read more

With so many breakfast choices around, this was a bad one. Not horrible just not worth it. To start off it was very warm. Uncomfortably warm. It being breakfast time I stopped with the coffee and exchanged it for water, that didn't help. Our order took over 30 minutes arrive. I asked for crispy hashbrowns, and they weren't. She brought them over and asked the moment she put our plates down if we would like to send them back to be remade since they weren't crispy like we ordered. She said it would take longer but she could take the plates back and have them remade. We opted out. I also ordered a Belgian waffle and the butter wouldn't smear since it wasn't even warm. The three should be five stars and are all for the server on Sunday evening, who was the best; "Diego." Professional, courteous and knowledgeable, although he was brand new he did a great job. The pecan pie was straight out of the freezer, with a crust whiter a saltine cracker, it was so undercooked, hard as a stone and the woman who brought it did not even warm it in the microwave. As mentioned, this was on the 'blonde' female server, NOT our attentive server Diego, who was fantastic. i want to start off with saying that the food was great and our server was super nice. Staff super welcoming. Only thing is that while i sat there with my family we kept hearing the manager on expo yelling at his staff to go find something to do. While that happened the whole restaurant literally stayed quiet. The second time it happened i was in the bathroom. I heard him yell at them and this time cursing And again the whole restaurant went quiet. I can hear ppl conversating about the way the manager was handling things. i run my own kitchen been running one for 4yrs and i believe that there is a better way of dealing with staff standing around (one of the other managers used that as an excuse) , especially when expo window is where customers can see and hear you. The way they handle situations with staff isn't ok Especially when your customers are seeing and hearing everything.! read more
