While shopping at this mall, my wife and I stopped at this location for dinner. I have been at several Corner Bakery Cafe locations before, and this is the worst among all. The cashier (Gary) behind the counter was coughing and sneezing. Why was he working? I had to cancel my food order because it was disgusting after I saw the employee sneezing and coughing while serving food. We ordered pastries and coffee. He gave us paper cups and plates and plastic forks. We could've just went to Starbucks. What happened to real plates. Poor service!!! read more

Located on the second floor in the Galleria Dallas, Corner Bakery has served delicious food that reminds of my childhood - I often ate here after figure skating lessons and performances. My go-to dish is Pesto Cavatappi because of the light pesto flavor, loads of sliced chicken breast, and garlic bread. I also order a small mixed green salad with the house dressing (acidic and flavorful) on the side. The combination of heavy pasta and a light, bright salad works great. You place your order at the register, take your seat, and the waiter brings your food to your table. I chose the Bavarian Turkey (Turkey Shaved red onions, plum tomatoes, caraway Havarti cheese, & stone-ground mustard-mayo on pretzel bread) for $6.79. I just picked it at random, I guess. The bread sounded good~ And my friend chose the Uptown Turkey (Smoked turkey breast, applewood smoked bacon, sliced avocado, leaf lettuce, tomatoes, and mayonnaise on Harvest bread) at $6.49. Both meals came with kettle chips. When the waiter brought my food, I was surprised to see that the Pretzel bread was just that; a pretzel shaped like a bread roll with coarse salt on top. I'm not sure why i expected something else. The rest of the sandwich was OK. The saltiness of the meat, mayo, and bread combined was a bit overpowering. My friend loved her meal. I love when I can find a Corner Bakery to please my craves. The caesar salad here is quite delicious. I like to get the 1/2 salad 1/2 sandwich combo. If I'm feeling like eating a cup of soup, I always go for their warm chicken tortilla. My favorite grilled panini here is the Chicken Pomodori on Sourdough bread. The ham & swiss panini is also a really good. I've tried the green chile & chicken once and really liked it. I don't think you can choose a bad panini here (just tell them to go light on the mayo because otherwise they will give you a jar of it). My favorite sandwich here is the Uptown Turkey on Harvest Toast. Every time I take a bite of this sandwich with fresh avocado, I feel like I am for once eating something healthy for lunch. If you really want to leave this place with a huge smile on your face, you have to get a slice of the Cinnamon Creme Cake. It is so amazing. If you are lucky, you can get a fresh slice that just came out of the oven. These cakes are so good that when I am having company over that love sweets, I will pick up one of these cakes and put it in my glass cake dish, and everyone always love it! read more

Yum! I really like Corner Bakery Cafe, even over The Madeline and Panera. One of the main reasons as to why I enjoy it more has to do with how friendly the staff always is. They are always eager to give you suggestions if you're unsure of what to order. Their southwestern flat bread is delicious! I chose poorly: coffee - house blend almost empty, added a 2nd flavor to fill the cup to the brim. Walked to overview of ice skate rink, sat down, sipped a very cold cup of awful coffee, asked for a soda cup instead. Taking photos, videos, eating, I returned for a refill - closed, sort of. Machines shut down, they were cleaning up, at 7PM instead of 9PM as posted hours online state they are open to. What the heck?! No wonder they get low ratings. I really enjoy coming to this location. Gary is amazing. He is so attentive, professional and quick! I specifically come to this location because I know he will always give me great service. My family and I stayed at The Westin this weekend and decided to do breakfast here at the corner bakery in the Galleria. Can I say this was the best decision we could have made regarding our morning meal. I called in the order and talked to Gary and he took the order perfectly even with all the modifications that my daughter and her friends made on their meals. When I arrived within 15minutes the food was ready to go. After checking my order I discovered that a side of bacon was missing and when I shared that with Gary, he got it fixed right away and blessed us with a complimentary muffin for the wait. It was good energy in the store and every one that I encountered who worked there was courteous. The food was prepared very well and everyone who ate was super satisfied with their meals! Im from NY and we are getting one of these soon and for that im glad. I went to the Galleria looking for something quick to eat and i passed this spot and took a look at the menu and im glad i did. I got the 1/2 sandwich 1/2 soup combo. I had the turkey on pretzel bread and chili as my soup. I also had a drink,,i started with the hibiscus lemonade and thought it tasted like perfume so i switched to Fresca. My meal was wonderful everything tasted fresh and good. The service was excellent and when i was done with my meal i was reading a magazine and a worker came by and took my tray for me as well. Corner Bakery is one of those places I go when there are no better options around and then I end up wishing I just hadn't eaten anything instead. The food is always bland. Services is efficient and polite but nothing exceptional. This location overlooks the Galleria ice rink so at least you get a nice view with some people watching if you can snag a seat by the balcony. LOL I really like the Uptown Chicken sandwich with it bacon and avocado its like a little white lie of calories. They have a ton of options that are 600 calories as well if you are minding those pesky pounds. I'll agree with what David L. said about CB having a one up on the Panera genre of bakery cafes. What really made me go, "wow" about this CB was the staff. The guy that was helping me was super friendly and averted me from ordering more food than I was able to eat. Not that I looked like I couldn't finish it but rather, he showed me the portions. I've seen corner bakery in my previous visit to Chicago but decided not to try them there. So when I saw that corner bakery had plenty of locations in the Dallas area I thought I would give it a try. During my trip to the galleria i saw the corner bakery and stopped in for lunch. I decided on the pesto cavatappi which is a favorite of mine at noodles and company. With my expectations high i placed my order for that and a regular size pop which pushed my bill total to $12. At that price I was hoping to be wowed and swear off of noodles and company. I received my order so far so good. Once I open the container notice how watery of the sauce was. I was expecting a thicker cream sauce that would actually adhere to the pasta, but boy I was wrong. It was more like a soup consistency then a cream sauce. There were probably about three strips of grilled chicken which was another disappointment. I ended up finishing this dish off using a spoon. I thought the garlic bread would at least help soak up the sauce but of course not. The garlic bread which should be described as garlic crackers was super thin and super crunchy. I would've liked a more hearty, doughy type of bread. Overall i was not impressed with the Corner bakery and will not be retuning. This is an over priced Panera bread with lower food quality. read more
