Hornet Honey
Aaron B.

Great food in a great neighborhood. We got the Hornet Honey pizza with the Fusilli Pasta. The pizza was as advertised the best. The way they fire up the pizza is honestly unmatched anywhere you go. Just the perfectly crisp yet flavorful. The Hornet Honey flavor was also surpassingly great. The honey added a layer of sweetness on top of subtle bite of the hot pepper was great. Strongly recommend. I'd say the Fusilli was not up to the test, and honestly slightly undercooked for my taste. However, still had an ambitious flavor profile with pea-based sauce. I commend it, but I wouldn't order it again. Dessert was worth it as well, along with the beer. These go directly into the profit margins, so I consider these as tip to the house, really. Service was great. I do have to warn you that it did get busy when I was there on a random Tuesday night. So I would go out of my ways to make a reservation. However, once you do get a seat, their attention is constant and steady. You won't have to worry about being embarrassed because you can't get the waiter to get the check in front of your date. Vibe was nice as well. Modern Italian is how I would describe it. Very cozy and welcoming as the entire neighborhood is. Strongly recommend if you are trying to have a relaxed evening with close family or friends. All in all, surprisingly great gem in an all around one of the best neighborhood in Seattle. Go check it out!

We were really looking forward to going to Cornelly for a nice date night and to celebrate graduating with my masters! The staff was really nice. However, they really should work on their acoustics, it is so loud in there it's overwhelming for a place that has nearly $30 pizzas. They also play their music really loud still, which makes people talk even louder. The restaurant itself though is very cute! We got the Inspecktah deck pizza and the rigatoni. The rigatoni was a bit strong on the mint, but the pasta was cooked nicely and had a good amount of meat. The pizza was also, alright, the best part about it was the crust, they've really perfected their dough!

Even though I wanted to try the flagship CapHill location, the queen anne Cornelly is the one that took reservations and it was still amazing. The interior is really cute with an interesting blue color scheme and had a spacious layout. It felt very comfortable inside. For food, we got the caesar salad and the mushroom and cheese pizzas. The caesar salad was jawdroppingly good. The dressing was very light and didn't overpower the salad but still added a needed kick. The vegetables they used were so fresh and tasted really high quality since it had a noticeable tang. The breadcrumbs on top also added a needed crunch to every bite. Both pizzas were to die for. I was a huge fan of the mushroom as I loved the earthy tang and smell of each bite.

My friend had invited us to have dinner here and we were super excited because of the beautiful photos and delicious food on the menu. We ordered a variety of appetizers to share for the table, including the salad and meatballs. For our entrées, we went with two carbonara pasta, one spicy and one not. And a pizza of course! Overall, the food was delicious and the environment was very cute and staff was friendly as well. We ended up parking on the street, not too far away.

The Food here is great. Not a single complaint. Really good! You will enjoy THE FOOD. When you're seated, you will immediately notice how blastingly loud the music is. WHY? The tunes themselves were fine: Talking Heads, B-52s etc. But when you crank them, then all the people in the restaurant have to talk louder and it becomes a feedback loop of absurd loudness. So then when you order they say, "The food will come out when it's ready - OK?" Sure! That's great - in theory. The four of us ordered two pizzas, and then shared two starters. The starters came out, then one of the pizzas. So we all shared the starters (a chicory salad and order of meatballs - all yum). Then the two who ordered the first pizza had theirs. Fully 25 minutes later, no sign of the second pizza. Did I forget to order it??! So I asked the server, "Did we order a second pizza?" And she says, "I TOLD YOU - IT WILL COME OUT WHEN IT'S READY." I mean yeesh, I'm just asking if I forgot to order it!! Half of us were sitting there like chumps and the other half had finished their dinner. Then the second pizza finally came and the other two were sitting like chumps while we had our pizza. The timing situation last night was definitely completely messed up. Then finally to add insult to injury our bill came and there was a mysterious $18 charge for "Dr. G" - WHAT IS THAT? An 'Evil Genius surcharge'? 99 times out of a hundred I just slap my credit card down without looking at the bill, but I had a free moment and had a quick look. I asked about it, and the server said "that's weird, that shouldn't be there." No, not "I'm sorry about that", just "that's not right." So my suggestion: Get Takeout! The food is great! But this place is too loud, the food comes out unreasonably weirdly (time-wise), the server is a grouch, and there are errors in the bill.

ok starting w the good the bread was insanely good but the pizza itself was mid, obv i'm not expecting anything healthy but literally had pools of oil on it and the hot honey was just honey :/ ... and yet i still want to try their pasta? but would not wait 2 hrs like it is normally (we got there 15 min after opening so no wait)

Been meaning to come here for a while & am SO glad I finally did! The pizza is incredibly, and the drinks were very good as well. We also tried the pistachio ice cream which was very tasty. The inside is very cute, and the place is in a nice area! The service was also good, food came out relatively quickly. Make sure you have a reservation as it is hard to get in and quite busy!

i've been wanting to try Cornelly's for a long time and I'm so glad they opened up a location with reservations. My friends and I decided to check it out and it's much bigger than the other location. The lighting is very nice. and it has a great vibe. It's perfect for a nice birthday dinner, date, or family night out. My friends and I ordered the bread, service margarita pizza, and a pasta to share. The pasta was so spicy I couldn't really eat it, but my friends enjoyed it. The pizza was good, but I think AK pizza is better. They can't really compete with New York Pizza either. The bread was really good though I like the flavor in the oil and it was perfectly toasted. You should definitely get the bread service if you come here they also serve it with a different butter every time this time it was a citrus maple butter, which I didn't love because it was kind of sweet. They were super sweet and our total, including tip came out to be $86.

Chickory Caesar salad salad

We shared chicory, Caesar salad salad, and Garlo Hunnay pizza, which were both so delicious! It was a busy vibe place on a Sunday night. The service was on point and we're able to get seated right away. It's a great addition to the queen Anne Seattle community!

Great place to get pizza, Italian food, pasta, and Queen Anne. Good service, good portion sizes. I highly recommend and I would come back.

I was a fan of this place on cap hill and I'm happy to see it open in Queen Anne. The neighborhood is clearly desperate for something new and fresh as we waited 80mins for a table. (They do not take reservations) The drinks were great - martinis. The service was quick and efficient but not overly fussy. We all agreed the food was good but not exactly perfect, would have liked more flavor on a few items in the form of acid or salt. Overall glad to have this in the area and will return.

The biggest difference between this Cornelly location and the one in Capitol Hill is how spacious the restaurant is. I am so glad it is not as cramped as the other restaurant. The menu here is also different. They have more pastas and cocktails here, along with different appetizers and pizzas. I liked that they had more and different options of food to choose from. I wish they had the Hornet Honey pizza (Cornelly's best pizza in my opinion!) but you honestly can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Everything is perfectly cooked and seasoned, and very delicious. I am a big fan of the pizza. I did go to this location on a weekday, so the food was brought out to us fairly quickly. The server was also very kind.

There are two Cornelly locations but I chose this one since it seemed like parking would be easier. Sure enough, I was able to easily find street parking about 2 blocks away. I saw reviews about long lines so I arrived about 10 minutes before opening and I was the first one in line. The restaurant itself is very inviting and clean. I like the choice of blue for the walls, which complements the white chairs and the wooden tables. However I did think the music was a bit too loud. I started off by ordering the spaghetti (cherry tomato sauce, basil, parm, stracciatella). It was so tasty and perfectly al dente. I also ordered the "fun guys only" pizza (seasonal mushrooms, fontina cream, confit garlic, fresh mozzarella). I thought the mushrooms were tasty but the crust was a little too chewy for my preference. I was pleasantly surprised to see how quickly the food was brought to my table. I started eating around 15 minutes after ordering. I am a fast eater so I was pretty much finished with my food in another 15 minutes. Soon after, the waiter asked if I wanted a box for the leftover pizza. I particularly didn't mind, but I could see how some might have felt a little rushed. I boxed up the pizza and asked for the menu again since I still wanted to order dessert. I chose the seasonal fruit tart with house vanilla ice cream. The tart had a nice crust, but it was a bit too sweet in my opinion. The ice cream was good. Overall, I recommend the pasta and coming in earlier in the evening to avoid long lines.

Stumbletown is a true carnivorous dream dining experience. Let's start with the menu it's simple. Your choice is duck or steak with an option for sauce. Why complicate things Yelpers, this place is "THE KISS" method so don't try and overthink things cause the chef doesn't . In case you're wondering I ordered the steak with Chimichurri sauce and this was layered over a mound of some of the best fries I've consumed in ages. Note they cook the flesh with a SOUS VIDE machine slow and low to make the meat tender and juicy. My guess are the fries had to be double fried in duck fat judging by the crunchiness and flavor... Yes for $25 I was served a steak mound of flesh over fries and loved every bite. Flavor bomb alert is the combo of steak , fries and Chimichurri smothered over the top IS AWESOME. Its a heavenly marriage of flavors for those seeking a sensual flavor experience... Note the homemade chimichurri sauce was a game changer as its expansion of the flavors is beyond anything imaginable. I only wish they sold by the bottle for home use it was that flavorful. Ok, by now you're savoring my photos and maybe licking your phone and I understand why , so just image how I felt actually eating. For beverages it's water ( free & self serve ) or a full bar of intoxicants you can walk up and order.... Keep in mind Stumbletown is a waiter free environment which is AWESOME ! I'm so full yet I am planning my out next flesh dining experience.. You'll wanna dine in this true hidden gem located in Ballard however selfishly I hope it stays hidden. We ordered munchies and drinks while we waited for our table at Delancey. The bartender / server knew we would be headed to Delancey in 40 minutes or so, and handled things well accordingly. We got a plate of olives (tasty, great finger food) and drinks. The Yonder cider was good, not too sweet. The Martini was tasty. I had two quibbles: The first was with the pricing: the martini was charged as two separate items: 1) gin (I suppose the charge varies by the kind of gin or vodka in your martini) 2) martini (which is apparently the non-vodka or or non-gin part of your drink) While I'm sure this makes it easier to track for the bartender and inventory, as well as for charging, as a customer, it's a little odd to have a mixed drink be a two-part charge. The second was the included 20% automatic gratuity. I don't object to the concept of a standard service charge, I just wish it had been more prominently displayed so that I wouldn't have added a 20% tip on top of that (and my tip was on the amount that included tax, service charge and drinks / food). So, buyer beware ... the service is good, the ambiance is nice, the food and drinks are good -- but the payment / billing is non-standard, and can cause unexpected surprises.

I had one drink. It was solid. But it was also $26. Don't come here for good value for money…read more Staff were friendly. Interior is small, clean and intimate.

I am showing my age by saying the restaurant is VERY LOUD, and our table was in a very dark spot in the restaurant. Oddly, they didn't have enough table lamps for all the dark tables. Our server said they "ran out". How does that happen? I stalked a departing table to take their rechargeable lamp. Anyway, my expectations were likely too high going in, and I was annoyed before even ordering, turning on our cellphone light to read the menu. The food is pretty good, though not mind-blowing good like the reviews suggest, and we had one bad dish. They offer varied Khmer dishes beyond noodle varieties, which is a plus. Go if you are looking for variety, skip the fish, bring ear plugs, and hope you have a brighter table than ours. Parking is street only. 3 Stars for the food, minus 1 star for the restaurant environment (unrelated to staff) The Food: k'tiss dip with crudités, $18 - 4 Stars We chose the marrow stone blue oyster mushroom option - p'set. The mushrooms are sautéed in Khmer seasonings, fermented bean curd, and coconut milk. The veggies are mildly pickled. They paired surprisingly well and a unique dish to try. kroeung kumeraage, $15 - 4 Stars This dish has an option of fried chicken or fried mushrooms. We chose the chicken since we already had mushrooms. Kroeung is the Khmer seasoning. Our server said this dish and papaya salad are amongst the most popular. Since we have a veggie dish, we chose this over the papaya salad (which looks great, too). The chicken is lightly fried, not crispy outside, super tender, and paired well with the kroeung aioli. trei chmouy tuk tei omperi, $40 - 1 Star The menu says serves 2 but not really. The is a pan seared fish, make your own fish wrap. We did not know we ordered a DIY dish, which is ok in principle, just not good to be surprised. The menu doesn't say so; the server didn't mention it. Luckily, by this time of the meal, we have acquired the little table lamp, which enabled me to see the long fish bones that had not been removed. FIVE of them. The noodles are a pathetic overcooked limp pile. The best part is the turmeric sauce. Do not order this dish. Epilogue: I happened to walk by Sophon this past weekend. I was surprised to see a sign saying they are temporarily closed to resolve internal issues. (See photo) That is never a good reflection of management.
