We are not "all about me" east coast pizza snobs who now find themselves living in one of those "fly over states" and aspiring to be a food critic. We can, however, recognize something very good when we see it. Stopped in for lunch last Saturday. Sat at the bar and ordered the Chardonnay pizza and a bottle of Riff Pino Grigio. Both were great. A 5 star experience from the moment we walked in. We arrived Saturday around 1145am and beat the crowds! We were greeted by Deb & Bill the owners. They explained they just opened a month ago and that they already made top 10 restaurants for the area. I started with the house salad that was full of mixed greens, golden raisins, almond slices, goat cheese & apples. The dressings are all made in house as my husband ordered the ceasar salad which I loved as well. I love the fact that they let us split a cauliflower crust and do 1/2 my way and the other his :) Restaurant was very clean and I liked the lotion available in the restroom. Great service and food. We for there at 957 not knowing the kitchen closes at 10pm and they still seated us. We ordered a salad, pizza, and dessert. Met the owners who were so sweet and enjoyed talking with them. The servers were super attentive and the folks in the bar were having a great time. First of all I have to apologize for not taking any photos. But from the moment we walked in the door until we left, we were totally immersed in the atmosphere and everything going on around us and the food and wine! Cork N crust is small and intimate and all about enjoying a relaxing evening out. What we were enthralled by was the staff. They were so engaged with everyone and providing the best customer service. They made the dining experience one that you want to come back to over and over again. We had the chicken wings which when they were delivered to our table smelled so amazing, tasted even better and had a sauce that was finger licking good. We also tried the Mediterranean pizza with a crust that provided a delicious platform from which to taste many flavors. You will want to visit again and again and again! Cork-n-Crust is one of our most favorite places to eat. My 3yo and I enjoy pizza here at least once a week. The staff is phenomenal and the pizza is so delicious!! The wine selection that Bill has chosen is wonderful. Just took my adult kids here and the food was AMAZING! The meatballs appetizer were unexpectedly awesome. We tried 3 kinds of appetizers, 4 kinds of pizza and a salad, each great in their own way. My favorite were the smoked wings, no sauce needed, EXCELLENT! Perfect place for Sunday afternoon Lunch, its about the only restaurant open on the Bellevue strip on Sundays. Took family to Cork N Crust on Christmas Eve Eve. Extremely bitter cold temps kept their dining room chilly but the pizza was great! Had the smoked wings, the Veggie pizza with added chicken and the Bellevue pizza. Food was delicious and made to right temps. Owners were very friendly! Not much of a wine drinker, but also great selection of beer. Very cool setting in beautiful downtown Bellevue, service 2nd to none and definitely my favorite place to eat. We had a party of 5 girls. We stopped in for dinner on a Tuesday night. It was our first time there - and it was delicious! The service was quick and friendly. Our server was very attentive and answered any questions we had about the menu. We ordered four different pizzas, and all were reasonably priced and very tasty. I was happy to bring home a few slices for my husband, who also enjoyed the pizza. No photos, we were all too hungry!! Solid pizza too!! I've seen the salads and they look ultra fresh and delicious but I can't stray from the pizza. My favorite has their meatball slices on it! Yum yum! Staff is ultra ultra friendly, albeit a little disorganized, but they're getting the hang of it and absolutely go above and beyond to make sure they get it right! Solid 4 star choice. We're doing restaurant alphabet so this was our C. 2 adults, 2 kids/toddlers, one with a cashew/pistachio allergy, one who's lactose intolerant. We were initially planning to give Cozy's Cafe a shot but I cancelled our reservation there since basically everything either container dairy or was cooked in butter. Fun fact - we used to live on Ward and would often go to Virgil's so it was nice to check this place out. Note - they do not have dedicated parking so you do have to park on the street somewhere and walk./ We got there at about 5:10 on a Sunday. We didn't have a reservation but they were able to seat us right away. They did get busy immediately afterwards so good timing on our part. Our server (she mentioned she was one of the owners?) was super nice and accommodating. She mentioned she'd just bring out the food as it got done which I appreciate although we didn't wait long for any of our items. I have a bad habit of overordering at a new place so we ended up with a smorgasbord. - Smoked Wings. Good! I prefer my wings well done and she did mention after smoking then flash frying they end up well done. I actually might have liked them fried slightly longer BUT that's super nitpicky feedback. We got BBQ, Mild and Hot sauce. Sauces were good and what you'd imagine from a traditional wing sauce. The wings had a dry rub on them which I appreciated but the rub itself just needed a little something more - salt? Another flavor? Note I've had some excellent smoked wings so thought these were good but wouldn't make a special trip for them. With that being said the 5 year old ate 3 and 2.5 year old ate 2. - Caprese Salad. I didn't read the menu so was expecting more of a classic caprese versus what I got. I will say though the basil pesto infused mozzarella and sundried tomatoes were super tasty so I would order it again. - The Fig Jam. This is typically a flatbread but I asked them if I could get it on a 10" cauliflower crust and they were able to accommodate (extra $2). Flavor wise this is a classic combo and I really enjoyed it. I thought the cauliflower crust was tasty and I would order it again. The only issue is that the outside of the crust got super burnt and tasted like char. She mentioned that they're still working on their oven firing and timing since they have a high heat oven. I ate the inside and just left the crust (I did try it but the char flavor was too strong). With that being said, I did end up eating half of it so it really was fine. She was nice and offered us a free dessert (but we were full and the lactose intolerance doesn't allow us to have most desserts) but then she knocked off 10% of our check without any prompting. I honestly wasn't expecting a discount so appreciated that she did that. - My son (lactose intolerant) got the 10" gluten free crust, vegan cheese pizza with Nueske's smoked bacon + pineapple. I love Nueske's bacon but didn't realize they literally just put half slices of bacon on their pizza (not crumbled). We liked it that way but calling it out for others. His crust was also burnt on the edges but not as much as the cauliflower and still tasted good. He ate his crusts first before eating the rest so no issues there. I tried a bite and thought it was great! Considering it's a vegan, gluten-free crust and vegan cheese I really couldn't tell in the best way possible. He ended up eating half his pizza. - My husband and daughter split a 15" pizza with Classico (red sauce), Nueske's bacon and spinach. They were big fans and I think we took home 1 or 2 slices out of the large. I tried a bite of this and though it had great flavor although I actually would have wanted slightly more char on this crust. Overall we were fans and I was actually happy we didn't end up at Cozy's. Before taxes we were at $105 (2 glasses of wine, 2 beers), but after taking off the 10% and taxes we ended up at a flat $100 before tip. I'd love to go back and try a few more of their specialty pizzas - I was eyeing the squawking buffalo or meatball. My one wish list item would be more of a supreme style pizza that had both meats & veggies. All of their pizzas are either meat or vegetable based which is why I ended up with a flatbread inspired one. read more
