Such a great place to be. If your hobby is trading card games (YuGiOh, Pokemon, Force of Will etc.) this little hidden gem is fantastic. The workers here are friendly and knowledgeable so they're very helpful if you have questions. They sell just about all that you might need from the cards in packs/singles, sleeves, deck boxes, and mats. They also host tournaments here if you're competitive but it's also enjoyable to those who are just in it for fun. The manager Vigen is always there and he is such a genuinely kind person and always eager to help if we need anything. I had a recent situation where the blisters I ordered were tampered with. I emailed them about what happened because I was very disappointed in the quality of the products I received. (blister/packs obviously opened and resealed, cards in the packs were stuck together) However, they were not aware of this and had no intentions for this to happen. The storefront manager reached out to me to talk about what happened and was very kind/considerate to resend the same order. The customer service and care is exceptional here. My entire experience was like getting whiplash on a rollercoaster hence the two stars. The TLDR is that the customer experience, at least for new customers, is less than sub-par but there's a few nice people sprinkled in the mix that can help you. Ultimately though the responsibility falls on buyers to put in the effort to seek the status of preorders which is a huge red flag, and why I likely won't return in person and will stick to other companies with better communication. Full Picture: I pre-ordered a pre-release Battle Styles Battle Kit on March 3. The email receipt said I wouldn't be charged till the order came in, but I got charged like 1-2 days later and figured it was fine cause some pre-orders work that way and thought I'd hear back shortly. No word so I started following them on Instagram. Days passed with no email to communicate a delay, or to confirm a pickup time. Then I happened, by pure luck, to see on their Instagram story that their pre-release kits had not come in. Soon a week and a half went by and I was starting to get nervous with zero communication/updates still. I reached out on March 13 to their Instagram to inquire, and whoever runs their Instagram was apologetic and told me the kits had still not arrived at their store. I decided to have patience but then in the coming days, I saw on Instagram other people who had received the same kit in the mail and or picked it up in-store, and I couldn't find any updates anywhere. Then March 19 came, Battle Styles release day, and I saw tons of people with the product I ordered and more. I genuinely thought that I had done something wrong or missed an email, so I searched their website for more info. I tried to find some kind of guide for how local customers pick up their orders and found nothing except a policy stating that customers have a 24-hour window to pickup. I decided to reach back and sent an email to which someone responded back at 9-10 PM. Whoever answered that email is the reason I will not be coming back because they sent a response that literally didn't answer my question and put blame on me. The rep essentially told me that there is never an email letting customers know that their order is ready for pick up, and that all pre-orders are ready within 24 hours. Excuse me, what? To top it off they said that if there was a delay I should've contacted someone (which I did and told them this) and followed their social channels (which I also did). I was baffled because this was a pre-order for a product that hadn't even been released yet so I don't know why this person implied that I could've come on March 4th. I also didn't understand why they expected me as a buyer to closely monitor their social media 24/7 or call them every day until they had the product in when they could've just sent out an email. Seems like a waste of everyone's time, and it definitely was a waste of mine. Not only that but this person also told me that the product I had ordered had come in just a few days ago and that I could've picked it up anytime. It was condescending and unpleasant, and I was dreading coming to the store. The next day I reached out to their Instagram and the only reason my review has 2 stars is for the person who runs their Instagram. They responded on their day off and told me to call the store and ask for Vigan who could help me. I did just that and both the initial person who answered on Sunday and Vigan were both helpful in explaining when their product had gotten in and let me know I could come in. I drove right over, and the in-store experience was pretty average. Didn't like that the guy who actually handed me my product kind of cut me off while I was talking, I have a suspicion he was the same one who answered the email...regardless I finally walked out of the store with it in hand, but it was such a hassle to get a $20 product. Overall a weird experience, and just uncomfortable. In summary, I would recommend having your product shipped to you if you order online, even if you're local. The in-store experience was not welcoming enough to make me come back when there are online alternatives that are faster, cheaper, and deliver a better customer experience. read more

Nice comfortable and professional locals. I have heard negative things about them through TCG Player and such, which I find quite accurate in that perspective where card conditions are not up to par. However though, their professionalism to actually contact customers and work with them is applaudable. Besides from singles and conditions, the establishment has good prices on sealed products such as booster packs, booster boxes, accessories, and other miscellaneous goods. I would recommend buying the sealed products here over the loose singles as the loose singles here are more expensive than other locals which is understandable. Honestly though to end things, the player base atmosphere isn't that nice as it is too competitive for any new players and less accepting of anyone new. read more

I shopped here and I found more than just cards, I found some incredibly friendly associates such as Vegan, John, and Ruben. These guys bought some cards from me and didn't return the sleeves. About 50 give or take. Those things ain't free! I actually bought them from you guys and you definitely taxed me more than I would get at any other shop including F&S. Pretty upset with the price I was given for my cards as well. There's a white gentleman who wore a blue cardigan when I came in. Extremely rude, wouldn't look you in the eye, doesn't pay attention to what you say and is pretty much a dick. CoreTCG is my son's favorite place for pokemon TCG. They have a decent collection of sealed products and singles. They have league on Thursday and tournament on Sunday. They also run League Cup challenge and pre- release. Beside pokemon tcg. They also have Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, Force of Will plus now the New dragon ball super card game!! The place is strictly a trading card store, thank god. It seems like they host a lot of tournaments on the weekends because when I stopped by on a Sunday, the place was swarming with players. The cards can get on the pricey side depending on what you're looking for. I picked up some Neo series Pokemon Cards, and they did cost a bit more than what i get online. However, they were worth it and the price correlated with the condition. If you're lucky, they're have the same cards in different conditions so you can decide what works for you. Check in on Yelp for 5% off singles. It's not much, but it's still a few bucks saved in the long run. Also, when it gets packed, be patient with the clerks. they're pretty cool guys but you can tell they multi task with a lot of things going on at once. All in all, great store. If I had more time and actually knew how to play the game, I'd consider playing a few tournaments. read more

I went to buy pokemon cards with my 7 year old nephews and they were excited to pick out some packs. We got up to the counter and the gentlemen behind the counter looked annoyed as my nephews were just looking at the individual cards in the display case. Well as they were choosing packs they decided to get shining fates and I asked how much each pack was and he quoted me $6 per pack. Me not knowing much and only caring about making my nephews happy got them a few packs plus some others. As my nephews were opening packs at a nearby table my brother went to buy them more shining fates from another employee and the other employee quoted him $4 per pack. So either the first employee upsold us or the value of shining fates decreased in a matter of minutes. I also dropped 175 bucks on a one piece booster box only to call 35 minutes later to be told it was 160 over the phone. In the area where I live there isn't much TCG shops around. When looking for cards you have to go to Target, or Walmart. I recently got back into the hobby of collecting cards, and I looked up TCG stores near me. This shop, and one other one the only ones close to me which is a one hour drive. I can say for a fact Core TCG was worth the one hour drive. It was busy which my brother and I wouldn't know it would be at the time. They were holding a pokemon tournament, but even with all that the staff was super helpful and very respondant. They were also really kind when answering my questions about certain things, and they even price checked an item I was buying. Also I think one of the items I boguth wasn't something they were going to sell too, but they were kind enough to sell it to me, and price check it as well. For those who play TCG, or just collect, or sell they are a good spot, because what you see online is pretty much what you're going to be paying or getting on your investment. going here. Overall though the selection is massive, and I am sure you will be able to find something worth of value even if you just came by to look. The card games they have from what I saw were Pokemon, Yugioh, and Cardfight Vanguard. Once again kindness is always cool at a shop, but to be kind during a busy time, and when it is really loud hosting a tournament like that was super impressive too me. The cashier that helped me was super cool, and really helpful. Not only was he helping me with my purchase he was making tournament announcements, and even price checking cards a person was selling. All in a while I didn't feel neglected, or that the guy was being rude. Was just an overall good dude and I appreciate that from workers.
