We visited this restaurant after researching many Mexican establishments in the area. We are so glad we did! The food was amazing, especially the fish tacos and the pollo enchiladas verde. Scrumptious! The drinks were awesome, the house margaritas were great and Susan had a prickly pear margarita she really liked. The flautas were dry, but the flautas that come with sauces would have been great. Lots of Mexican beer on tap, except Negra Modelo, my favorite. The service was uneven, they gave my enchilada dinner to another guest, so mine was really late, but they comped me a margarita (thanks!) and the wait was so worth it, the enchiladas were amazing. My wife and I had lunch this past Labor Day weekend at Corazon De Agave. We were searching for a Brunch place on Yelp and somehow this Mexican restaurant came up. I wasn't looking for Mexican food, but the reviews were outstanding so I had to give it a try. The restaurant is tucked in the Northeast corner of 40th Street and E Bell road, and on the NW side of the strip mall. It's hard to find, but make the effort. Upon entering, the decor is light and modern and had a nice vibe to it. We started with complimentary chips, bean dip and two salsas. They were all excellent. The chips were homemade and fresh and the bean dip was delicious. My wife ordered the Taco Trio and picked the Chicken, Birria and Carne Asada. I had the Cochinita Pibil and it was better than Barrio Queen's version in Desert Ridge. It came on the bone and served with rice and beans. Our server brought out fresh and hot Au Jus that added a nice touch. It also had pickled onions and a few lime wedges to add acidity. I also ordered flour tortillas and they were homemade. The meal was a 10 out of 10 and it's now my wife's favorite Mexican restaurant. We will be back. Our server was Alejandro and he was great. read more

We came here for the first time and really enjoyed our dinner and drinks. The food is really good. The chicken fajitas were full of flavor and love the home made tortillas. Food and service was excellent! We started with the chips and guacamole which was really good and they added salsa verde and an orange salsa that was so good. For dinner, we tried the Enchiladas Suizas and the Fajitas with chicken. The green sauce with the enchiladas was delicious, probably my new favorite dish. When here for lunch with a friend last week. 3.5 stars for the first visit. We didn't order a ton so not a lot to go off of. They are what I refer to as a "white cheese" Mexican place going for more of an upscale vibe. They only had one server and one busser and there got to be about 8 tables. Server was nice but slow... doing that one table at a time thing instead of hitting half and consolidating steps. I got the chicken enchiladas and asked them to sub out one flauta instead of the 3rd enchi which they accommodated. The chicken was a little bland but the green sauce they put on top had a nice flavor. I have a feeling that if they were fully staffed and busier the whole thing, including the food, would have been better. If I go back again I'd get the same thing to try again which is saying something! read more

We stopped by this tucked away gem with the family and were very impressed with their food. Our waitress was very friendly and the service was quick. We ordered the Cadillac margaritas, Enchiladas Rojo, chicken flautas, guacamole and their Mojelete bowl. I really liked their mojelete bowl! Everything was delicious! It's your tourist trap, quasi-Mexican flair. People are excited to be on vacation, and Corazon De Agave has presented a fancy-looking website with all the bait (however, not a great mobile UI.) Ok quality food, but lacking flavor. Very nice staff, Uber slow. I picked this place because we had a vegetarian with us, and most of the taco places don't have any vegetarian options except quesadillas. My party of six arrived and we waited, waited, waited. Nice staff, mediocre salsas, food was ok, chips were a weird flour and corn mix. Prices are very steep for what we got. The restaurant was not busy, perhaps 20% of the tables being used, several staff working, just slow. They're upped to three stars for the really nice staff. read more

BEST RESTAURANT ALL AROUND. My husband and I came in for an early dinner on Friday. We were greeted kindly and seated promptly. Beautiful bar and dining room. Enrique was our server and he was friendly, kind, and attentive, without being overbearing. Perfection. The food, service and ambience were fantastic. The manager asked if I wanted to try an off menu item, their burger that they will be putting on the menu soon. It was a 9.6 out of 10 and I'm picky. Probably top 5 burger I've had in AZ. Topped that off with some amazing Flan for dessert. Can't wait to go back and try some high end tequila and more menu items. Best birrias! I was introduced to birrias at a small hole in the wall in Atlanta and was hooked. Sadly, I've not been able to find ones that even come close....until now! So good! You know it's a good consume when there's actually meat in it, and they nailed that too. My son didn't love the queso fundido as it was just really thick and he's used to the type you can dip into, this was just a plate of cheese and chorizo...and it did taste good so maybe others will love it. I was surprised the small amount of chips and that they never came with more but loved that it came with beans. Hopefully they'll adjust that since they're new. The dessert was so good! We had fresas con crema for the first time and was super impressed! I didn't venture into a drink as Reid margarita sounded basic from the server and the flavored were just syrup. Had to ask for water, then for chips and salsa, which we only got when we asked a second time. Asked for no salt on the margarita, it came salted. Plates arrived at different times. Had to track down a different waiter to get water refilled. Ordered a dish which I didn't like and the waitress asked what she could get me. I asked for a taco and she told me the price. I assumed she was taking off the entree. Waited a long time for it and finally just asked for the bill. I got the taco at the same time as the bill. I was charged for the entree and the taco. Asked for it to be removed from the bill which it was. Service was very slow. The tortillas are very good. Companions said the enchiladas was good but nothing special. read more
