    Perky Turkey with Magic Fries
    Ilse H.

I sadly didn't like this place... I love the neighborhood it's in. There's a bike trail where one can go biking, run or walk your dog right behind the restaurant. Anyways, I came on a Saturday night. It was fairly packed but not a full house. I got seated. The waitress said she'd back with waters but came back.... 20 minutes later with menus.. no waters. In fact, I barely saw the waitress. The bartender had to step in which was good. The bartender was attentive and kind. She took our order and got our drinks, including the waters. Unfortunately, just like service, the kitchen was also slow. Alas, our appetizer came. You would think with the slow wait, the food would be worth it, right? Nope. The lumpia's weren't good. They had no flavor. The meat was bland, and it had an overwhelming taste of oil. It also came with two sauce. One of them wasn't good. Shortly, the main entrees came. I order the Perky Turkey. Now there were some pros with the sandwich. The cranberry sauce was good and I appreciate how much turkey was put into the sandwich. However, the cons, overtook it. The bacon was inedible, super hard to chew which tells me the bacon was way overcooked, but the bread was strangest thing on my plate. The bread was mushy to where my fingers made an indent. I thought French rolls were suppose to have a crispy texture on the outside? Was it fresh out the oven? Underbaked? I have no idea. My meal came with the magic fries, and they were ok. My partner got the jalapeño fries and comparing the two fries, I couldn't really taste a difference. The jalapeño fries had a a slight tang to it but not by a whole lot. Also to point out, my sandwich meal was nearly $20. Way overpriced for some mushy bread, overcooked bacon. The place is gorgeous but definitely room for improvement in service and food.

Caprese salad (half) w/ roasted chicken

We went on a Friday around 6/630pm. It wasn't super busy, handful of filled tables in both areas, and a nice atmosphere. We wanted the burnt ends but were told both that and the adobo chicken were already out (kind of surprised considering it was only 6pm), but we ordered adobo pork belly and the garlic parm fries and those were very tasty. I think overall across our whole group everyone enjoyed their meals; salads, the paella, and sandwich (perky turkey- it was huge and the bacon smelled so good). I had the caprese salad, half size with added roasted chicken. The fried mozzarella was crispy and pesto delicious, and while the chicken was a tiny bit on the drier side, it was good. I'd definitely order it again. One friend wanted to order the pork belly banh mi to go, and I was going to do the same, but we were told that too was now no longer available. Maybe next time. Service was good, and they were very informative and accommodating for one of our friends with a serious food allergy. I would definitely go back again and try a few other dishes.

    Sweety Pie

Purple Pain Mocktail: highlight of my meal. Ube lime is surprisingly a good combo! Sweety Pie: the Camembert pie was fireeee. Wonderfully cheesy and sweet, and the Camembert wasn't overpowering. The garlic was a letdown (spiced but no salt!! and the garlic flavor is very cooked out). The crostini by itself was good, but I don't see the purpose with the pie already having carbs in the crust. It would have been yummy to have separate Camembert crostinis OR just take them out and have the pie. Blackberry compote was yummy and sweet, with a hint of savory/spicy flavor. Really good compote. Ok overall as a meal, I like the individual parts better. (Adobo) Pork Belly Banh Mi: not adobo pork. It's BBQ pork. My banh mi was more a slaw sandwich with pork in it. Pork was also pretty chewy, not so much crispy. I think this would have been marketed much better as maybe a sweet lechon banh mi? Did not meet my expectations for either banh mi or adobo. Campfire chili on the side was good tho. Risotto Cakes: cakes had great crisp on the top and bottom. The risotto was cooked welll overall. I'm just not a fan of the sauce which was very mushroomy for my personal taste. I think someone who is more into mushrooms would really enjoy this dish. Great texture balance, good amount of salt also. Great service, the servers checked in with me multiple times during my meal. Outdoor seating is a vibe with the brick walls and globe lights.

We went here day after Valentine's Day hoping to sample their usual offerings. They, however, still had their Valentine's Day menu. I didn't appreciate the risotto cake. It's pretty much risotto shaped into a small round cake. Nothing special. The bisque, however, was good. Perfect for dipping bread. The lamb chops and the duck were seasoned and cooked perfectly. The place was cozy. It wasn't busy when we dined so we pretty much had full attention of the wait staff. It was a pleasant experience but would be back to try their usual offerings

3.5 stars. the ambience is about the same as what was there before. I honestly couldn't tell a difference. went with a friend and he ordered the fried chicken sandwich. He said it was sooo spicey. He couldn't finish 2nd half. I ordered the 1/2 caprese sandwhich w/jalapeño dust on fries. It was good but a little greasy to me. They fry the mozzarella balls. I prefer fresh. it didn't make sense to me. lots of olive oil saturated bread. I don't think I would order again unless they would be able to not fry. Service was pretty slow and there were only a few tables in there. I counted 4 including us. But they did just recently open. took a very long time to get our food. At least the company was good while we waited & I wasn't starving. And so many of the taps of beer were out. Go check it out and support local. I would definitely order the chicken sandwich if you can handle the heat!

Friday night, busy. Service was super slow seemed as if there was only one server. Very rushed and took all of our orders but didn't take my order and noticed mine was missing after she had brought out all 6 plates and not mine. I was starving, but I patiently waited. The food came out. My son didn't like the pizza quesadilla. No sauce just cheese and pepperoni. The pepperoni was wet and soggy. He was sad. My youngest had a cheese cheeseburger which fell on the ground. We didn't want to bother the server since it was busy. My burger was the drifter the meat had no seasoning the sauce was at the bottom of my plate instead of on top of the burger. The place looks the same as before when it was divine swine. The booths are hard and wooden. Not comfy. Overall, it was disappointing experience Maybe we'll give it a try again in a couple years.

This is one of those places where you just slow down and enjoy. The food takes a bit, but it's worth every second--especially the Reuben, which is hands down the best I've ever had. The patio is the best in Modesto, the service is always great, and the owners are incredibly kind. They're out talking to tables, making sure everyone's taken care of as well as in the kitchen making the food! You can tell they really care. If you're going to support any local spot, make it this one.

    Who You Calling Chicken?

The food was delicious and the service was great. Would definitely come back again! The portions are huge so we couldn't finish it all but that makes it worth the money for sure. The tipsy toast was soooo good. I liked the ube cocktail too, surprisingly good and didn't taste like artificial ube extract. It tasted like real ube! The lumpia are larger than they look and really juicy yet crispy. The gravy on the "who you calling chicken" is really savory and tasty. The mezcal sour is very bitter and aromatic so if that's not your style drink I would go for something sweeter. My boyfriend ordered it but I finished it for him lol. Overall, would definitely recommend trying this place out for yourself.

Had some breakfast at Cora at Roseburg and it was absolutely fabulous. Everything was freshly made. All the ingredients were fresh and made from-scratch and strong integrity of quality. The corn beef hash and the stack of pancakes that were fluffy and delicious and the Jims special A meat lovers Paradise. A perfect trio served up for the three of us. The coffee was perfect with the meal. The service was impeccable like always. And a nice mellow and comfortable place to have breakfast with family, and friends. Breakfast is being served now at Cora at Roseburg starting at 8 AM!

This place is a hidden gem. Badass (fancifully dressed) bartenders. Plenty of parking. Great cocktails. This place has a lot to offer in a quiet way. The staff here are very personable and are willing to put effort into the drinks, food, and atmosphere that makes this place my end of the evening stop. Keep it up Cora

Looking at the exterior, we could only guess what was coming. Walking in just after opening gave us opportunity to marvel over the beautifully appointed interior without bothering yet to arrive lunch customers. After perusing the menu, which we had somewhat studied pre decision to dine here, our waiter Matteo filled in item by item our understanding of the many menu options. With his help and suggestions we four decided to share two "starters" - the whipped feta - half classic and half smoky. Both were delicious! We chose the 4 piece Bruschetta with a suggested cheese added. It too rang the delicious bell. We picked paninis for our main course: Flank steak, French dip and Prosciutto & Fig Jam. Each would be served with a side salad - either Spinach or Spring. We all chose Spinach. The sandwiches were full of the components as described. My wife's Prosciutto & Fig Jam had prosciutto from end to end countering a review to the contrary I had read. The other paninis were likewise filled. The Spinach side salads were loaded with walnuts and cranberries. The amount of feta was adequate. the total amount of salad was more than I expected. My wife ordered a dessert to go, and just reported to me that was superb. We had to forgo any wine with lunch as we had miles to drive home afterward. But I await the day we can spend the night in town and enjoy some selections of their impressive wine stock and not have to drive home. A Friday evening comes to mind. It must happen so we can try out more items of their well chosen fare. A couple of the pokes look scrumptious and a few more of the paninis await my gastric juices. We were pleasantly surprised by Damon bringing us a complimentary Chocolate Panini served with house made whipped zcream (who even serves that these days?) He said that we HAD to try his #1 selling item from the whole menu before we left. We tasted, and learned why it had reached that status. Good in appearance. Perfect in creation, Superb in taste. Kudos by the bucketful to Damon, Matteo, and the rest of the staff who helped this Birthday Bash be warm & fuzzy and highly enjoyed. If you haven't yet. I suggest you put Camp 4 on your high priority list and enjoy the experience as I'm sure you will. We sure did!
