5 stars, 10/10, exceeded expectations across the board. The food was delicious, the drinks were bomb and the vibe was immaculate. We sat at the bar and May took great care of us. It's always an A+ experience when the food and the vibes match the price tag, can't wait to return! OMG THE SAUCES HOW COULD I FORGET. If you order chicken, each person gets their own little condiment rack of 4 sauces and it was so fun to try them all, elite business move.

Yummy and fancy fried chicken. It started to get a little salty the more we ate but they had a nice crunch to it and were fried fresh. The service was great too, super attentive.

Fried chicken and champagne...enough said. But I will say more. If you ever wonder how Korean fried chicken would taste when elevated to fine dining, you can find out at Coqodaq. Chardonnay champagne does pair well with fried chicken. 2 glasses down and I was still thinking about a third. Our servers were super nice and made sure we had everything we needed. Sinks in the front with 8 types of hand soaps were dope. Loved our experience.

Great spot to grab brunch with a group of people and try a little bit of everything! For the fried chicken - we tried all the flavors but original (paired with all the fun side sauces ofc) was definitely the best. Side note - I had also had some much fun washing my hands multiple times with all the luxury soaps at the front lol

I have mixed feelings about this spot. I got the friee chicken bucket with a glass of champagne (the waiter said chicken and champagne is what they are known for). The chicken was quite good, and the highlight was the cilantro aioli that came with it. There are 2 rounds of chicken, with the original being the first round (my favorite) and the second round coming with some sauces. While the chicken was good, there was nothing extraordinary about it; I felt there is similar or better fried chicken for much less elsewhere. The service and ambience at this restaurant is really good. It's probably one of the most cool-looking interiors I've seen in a NYC restaurant. Overall, I think it could be worth visiting once for the experience. The food is solid, but with the hassle of getting a reservation and at this price point, I don't think I'd look to go here again.

Outstanding experience all around! Went for dinner with friends on a recent trip, and it was a highlight of our culinary adventures. The vibe was club-like (complete with a DJ), and the space was visually stunning, very sleek, everything eye-catching--a parlay with the Merovingian would've seemed like a perfectly natural occurrence. It was quite loud, so conversation was a bit tricky, but still easy to have fun with the group. The food was excellent. Chicken was moist, tender, and coated with a beautiful crust that shattered perfectly with a bite. We had to try the caviar nuggets, of course, which proved to be a most worthy indulgence. Cocktails were excellent as well (the egg cocktail is a great visual and quite tasty). And I must say, I'm not a huge champagne fan, but the selection is incredible, it does pair strikingly well with the chicken, and they are amazing in walking you through the options--and, again speaking as one who doesn't love champagne, they will find at least one you'll enjoy! Service was excellent as well. Attentive and extremely helpful with all aspects of the menu. Will definitely return...a few times!

First, I want to thank the staff for accommodating us as walk-ins; every reservation was pretty much booked and we just wanted to see if we could get in (I don't recommend this method, they were packed for brunch and it had only just opened). They gave us a time as to when we had to get going and we respected that. The bathrooms were clean and well-kept. Now, on to the restaurant itself. It's gorgeous. The wait staff were all patient and understanding of my allergies (I have many but focused on my wheat and shellfish allergies). Our server, Don, was extremely charming and helpful. For the brunch he was able to do accomodations (extra croquettes instead of French toast sticks, mushroom lettuce wrap instead of shrimp). Before we even got our meals, they served us a chicken consumme that was a very nice start. The appetizers were so tasty. My favorite were the croquettes, but the hash browns with salmon roe were also very, very tasty. I also enjoyed the bimbinbop. My husband really enjoyed the lettuce wraps, and we both agreed that the deviled eggs were delicious. I had the OG fried chicken and soy sauce-garlix glaze mix gluten free and it was so delicious. The chicken was fried perfectly and was light and very crispy, not greasy at all. It reminded me of my time in Japan and going to a ramen shop with my host father that had the best fried chicken ever. My husband had the ravioli which he described as 'odd, because the flavors shouldn't go together, but delicious.' For dessert we had a 'create your own sundae' with frozen yogurt and wow, it was amazing. My husband and I split the sides (blueberry compote and green grapes for me) and I really found it tasty and refreshing. I can't wait to go back, hopefully for my birthday. I had to get some food to go because it's a lot of food, but the takeout box was so cute that I had to take a picture of it when I got home. Thanks again to Don, our server, for being so attentive and nice!

For $64 per person, you get a Korean fried chicken experience that feels way fancier than it has any right to be (in the best way). The chicken is phenomenal--shatteringly crisp, juicy, perfectly seasoned and somehow gluten-free, so you leave feeling satisfied but not sluggish (or as guilty lol) Before the main event, they ease you in with a warm chicken consommé that feels like a cozy. The banchan lineup totally complements the star of the show: bright pickled daikon (elite palate cleanser status) and a fresh salad to balance the fry factor. Pro tip: don't be like me and order the Caesar. It's delicious, yes but you already get a salad with the set. The cold noodles were the sleeper hit of the night. I was not emotionally prepared for how good they were and absolutely would've accepted a second bowl without hesitation. They wrap it all up with a swirl of soft serve drizzled in passion fruit syrup--light, tangy, and not overly sweet. Bonus: the wine and sparkling list is extensive because obviously you cannot eat fried chicken without bubbly. Only heads up: this place is overly lit. As in packed, buzzy, borderline chaotic. There was a group filming content near us. If you're going, expect a scene. The chicken is probably worth the chaos though, remember to get reservations.

Overall, I loved this restaurant! Everything was delicious and the service was very friendly. They had an awesome DJ playing during this brunch session. The food was incredible. Although very pricey (would only recommend coming for very special occasions), the food was tasty. The brucket list is their brunch special which is $58/p. It includes a huge array of family-style appetizers and your choice of entree. I would recommend the chicken & waffles and the soy garlic chicken. The chicken nuggets and oysters are certainly overpriced but they were a nice little treat. They definitely weren't worth the $15-30. Considering everything else, I enjoyed the restaurant!

Came here during restaurant week and it's such an aesthetically nice looking establishment and from the entrance they were all so kind and attentive. I came here to see what all the hype was about for a bucket of chicken and a chicken nugget with caviar and black truffle and I was not disappointed. The food was great all across the board no complaints at all. If you do want a drink I recommend their "egg" drink. I def will be coming here again and I can attest that they are worth the social media hype! 5

Have been wanting to come here for more than a year, it definitely lived up to my expectations! We walked in on a weeknight and were told it would be 45 minutes for a table for two. Ended up being closer to an hour. The vibe inside was nice though a bit loud (hard to hear the server) but the decor was very cool. Once we sat we ordered the Bucket List and it was a sensational meal. The banchan had good options, I especially loved the pickled daikon. The star of the show was, of course, the chicken! Hands down the best fried chicken I've ever had, the original is shatteringly crisp and juicy inside. The glazed portion was also very good and crispy, though we chose both the gochujang and soy garlic but I would probably stick to just gochujang next time. Ended with a passion fruit frozen yogurt as the perfect end to this meal, I cannot wait to come back.

If you left a good review here I'm just shocked. Either you are not a fried chicken over or did not review their food earnestly. Everything is just way too salty. Fried chicken - honestly just very plain. The crust isn't special or tasty and the meat is slightly over salty, cooked too dry. Soy garlic - so salty that I stopped eating it after the first bite. Gochujang - extremely underwhelming and barely masks the salty flavor of the chicken itself. The service, ambiance, and decor are nice, but if you put their chicken side by side with KFC I'm not sure they'd win. Other chicken chains clear this.

    Teresa C.

Came here for birthday dinner with my bff. I was on a caviar kick and had to try the chicken nuggy with caviar. We also got the fried chicken dinner. The caviar was good quality, but was kind of masked by the saltiness of the chicken nugget. Not the best pairing, but we had to try it. The fried chicken itself was actually pretty good! Light batter and juicy chicken. Is it worth the hype and price? Prob not. It also felt a bit pretentious with the crazy champagne menus and different waiters for each item.

I was warmly greeted by the gentleman at the door (5 service there), which set a great first impression. However, as soon as I walked downstairs, it felt like the space had lost its speakeasy vibe. I was seated right near the stairs and could feel cold air from outside every time the door opened, which made the experience uncomfortable. I was also surprised to see how much the cocktail menu had been reduced. When I asked about it, the response was that "the place changed a lot." That's fair -- places evolve -- but instead of highlighting the improvements or new strengths, the explanation focused negatively on what the bar used to be. As someone who really enjoyed the former version, that wasn't reassuring. Unfortunately, the drinks themselves didn't make up for it. One of the two cocktails was simply not good. No one came back to check on the drinks, and when I asked for the check after about 20 minutes, there was no acknowledgment that I had barely touched mine or any inquiry about my experience. Overall, a place I once enjoyed and recommended now feels more like a standard dive bar where " Mixologist " were replaced by bartender and were fun cool looking and tasty drinks were replaced by " less complex cocktail ", lacking the warmth and attention to detail that once made it special.

Easy to find if you know what you're looking for, if you arrive right at 5pm on a cold weeknight in the winter, you'll easily find a table or seat at the bar. Very cute space, cozy like everyone says, but nothing mind blowing. Music is moderately loud. The menu in early February still included their winter holiday cocktails. I was more interested in the apple sage house-made fermented soda, and it was pretty good-large glass, flavorful and not too sweet. My friend enjoyed her pomegranate version. The space started to fill up at around 5:30. Service was polite when you could get it, but generally very inattentive, even before it got busy. It honestly didn't feel too different from anu other very nice NYC bar, in terms of menu selection, prices, ambiance and service. Maybe that's standard for NYC speakeasies, but the places I frequented in other cities were more fun and felt more worth the price. I'll still give another NYC spot a try, but not coming back to Thyme.

For drinks, we ordered the Smoke Show and the King Tusk. The Smoke Show was beautifully balanced. The Grey Goose vodka and Dolin Dry gave it that classic martini backbone, but the fino sherry and brine added depth. The smoked olive oil and blue cheese olive brought just enough savory drama without overpowering the glass. It was complex but not fussy. The King Tusk leaned more aromatic and layered. The vermouths gave it richness, while the Buddha's Hand and osmanthus flower added subtle citrus and floral notes that lingered in a really elegant way. It felt like a cocktail designed to be savored slowly. The music fit the mood perfectly, not too loud, just enough to give the room energy without killing conversation.
