From specialty car bolts, Armstrongs Once and done floor cleaner to my most recent purchase, Glisten's washer machine liquid cleaner. Sure, I could order from Home Depot online and wait or I could buy from Amazon but would have to buy two. I like to purchase just one when trying a product for the first time. They have a wide variety of products, you know: the thingamabobs, doo-hickeys, and so many other items that we can never remember the names of (to save our lives!) Our latest find was scored with the determined help of a young man (pictured here) that stuck with us until we found what we needed to get the job done, despite our terrible attempt to describe it! Thanks to him and all the other helpful folks at Ace, We walked out with the right items to get ourselves out of a pickle for under a buck. Great price, indeed! We are happy that we have an Ace Hardware right up the street that we can trust. They always guide us in the right direction when we get the itch to start working on projects that we have no business starting without the proper tools or training to do! SMH ‍ Thanks Ace! You rock!

This is a nice store with a nice selection. Upon entering, I was carrying a bag and wearing a…read morebackpack, so I thought I'd be helpful and leave my bag upfront. The old, unkempt, crabby woman at the register(think cat lady combined with prison guard personality)ordered me to also remove my backpack in a tone befitting a county jail intake matron. I complied without a word since I just wanted to get on with my shopping. I walked around the store and was asked if I needed help about 10 times and followed everywhere. I had a feeling it was more about treating me like a shoplifter just because I wore a backpack(that I already removed when I walked in). The other annoying thing is when I had a question the staff isn't smart enough to be more specific than answering tools section(Correct answer is aisle number and shelf level). I bought a tarp, shoelace, $10 wool socks, pepper spray and made sure to get my receipt or be falsely detained by the woman auditioning for crazy cat lady/prison guard. I spent over $43 and the cashier woman prison guard wasn't even nice enough to apologize and thank me for my business. Instead, she again admonished me not to look at the 3 different pepper sprays the one competent staff Russ put on the counter for me to look at. It didn't occur to her they were on the counter for me to look at. After her 2nd incredibly rude outburst(not to be confused with customer service)I told her firmly to learn some manners which I do rarely but will call out jerks when they deserve it. Since the one employee Russ was professional and competent and they had the items I wanted I bumped this store up to 3 stars. I doubt I'll shop there again. This is why online shopping is so popular.

The store has everything you need - but unlike Home Depot, things are organized intuitively. The options are pared down to things you may actually need if you're looking for the basics - no more wandering aisles like a lost puppy! The prices for the items we purchased were comparable to Home Depot - no markups! And again, the environment is much less intimidating. Extra points because they have a cute lazy shop cat who prefers to be respected LOL

The 2 notable ones are Tracy and Dennis. Let me start with Dennis first. They remodeled their store and now the fasteners/nuts/bolts area has been expanded and I love this. Most of the time I come it's because I need some fitting that broke or something with something I have and I don't need 100 of them, just 1 or a few. All the Ace Hardwares are perfect for this and I've never NOT found what I needed. Dennis has helped me most of the time when I come, which isn't too frequent, but maybe a few times a year. He is always very patient. Sometimes it's with a project and he offers suggestions. Thank you, Dennis. Tracy is a newer person for me from the past year. I don't remember why I came in, but he was the person to help me. He's retired from his career and just wanted to still work, but not in a high pressured career. We've had some really great conversations. He is very personable and super, super helpful. I needed to fix my dripping shower faucet and asked him for suggestions. He gave me lots of sound advice, which all of them really helped me. Unfortunately this Ace did not have the parts I needed for my particular showers, but the advice he gave was invaluable and saved me hundreds of dollars. I was able to change out the shower spout, handle, shower heads with new stuff and all by myself. This turned out to be fairly easy, so I thought why not to tackle my master bath, that had similar shower fixtures. The master bath was a little trickier, and took a bit longer, but I was able to change all the shower fixtures minus the drains all by myself without incident and everything is working great. I did this back over 3 months ago and everything still works fantastically. Tracy did advise that replacing the drains was a bit more difficult. He didn't say don't do this, but the thought of having to perhaps replace plumbing and the showers did not appeal to me. So, the drains remained. I also wanted to change out the sink faucet in the first bathroom. He talked about the hard water deposits we have and how to replace the faucet. He showed me a tool, a sink wrench, to help me loosen and get into tight spaces. My husband really was the one that went under the sink to do all this. I am grateful. This was a bit more difficult than we had hoped because whomever installed the prior faucet really glued EVERYTHING down well, which required my husband to use a DeWalt cutting tool to get the parts out. Since the first bathroom turned out well, we also did the Master Baths both faucets - replacing them. Thank you, Tracy, for your guidance and direction in this, for caring enough to be specific to empower me/us to do these repairs to our home and saving hundreds in labor and not needing to call out a plumber to do all this. Both Dennis & Tracy are true assets to this Ace Hardware location. Thank you for caring about your customers and going above and beyond every time. God bless you and the rest of the employees here.
