This place is a favorite date night spot , the service is always A+. It doesn't matter who you get to serve you reservations are not required. Seating seems to be always available. Ambience is right, lighting is right, the vibe is chilled , check out spot for Friday night, dinner and drinks. You won't regret it.

OMG food was amazing- service was Excellent and the vibe is relaxed and casual. Our server Amber was very informative and pleasant. She told us the specials and recommended other favorites. I got the burger and my daughter got the chicken with spanish. ALL THE FOOD-WAS COOKED TO PERFECTION! And the dessert was huge and delicious! OMG I'm drooling while writing this. This place is great for special occasions, birthdays, anything. You will not be disappointed. I will definitely be back for more bread pudding!

We went to Copper Canyon during lunch on a weekday. Not too crowded and servers were incredibly friendly. Here is my review of each item we ordered: - cornbread skillet (8/10) - fiesta eggrolls (7/10) - fish and chips (9/10) - Stanford cheeseburger, no cheese (8/10) -- fries tasted bland

A truly remarkable brunch experience! After two bad experiences that same morning, my guests and I decided to try Copper Canyon. We had an amazing experience - service and food- wise. We were seated immediately at a very cozy booth and from start to finish our service was top tier. Amber served us and she was professional and a breath of fresh air, attentive and personable. If you can get her as your server you are in for a treat! The food did everything it was supposed to. Amber suggested the Fiesta eggrolls, and the bite of putting lettuce the sauce on top of one the eggrolls was UNREAL. A must try - one of the best non-traditional eggrolls, I have ever had. The crab dip was delish, came to the table warm and the bread served with it was so softly toasted. The corn bead was so good -we couldn't even wait to take a picture. Every item we had was served hot and delicious.

I was happy to see a lot of improvement at this place. Bar drinks updates, food pretty good, nice services and ambiance. Looking forward to come back here.

Convenient spot for a group of us to hang out before heading on vacation. Located in downtown Silver Spring you can catch a great bite to eat and hit the movies afterwards. I usually go to the Glenarden location with family and this spot is growing on me. Great for groups, dates, etc. For those who drink, they have a whole page for you. The staff was friendly and helpful ( they've been so each time). Stop by and enjoy your meal!

This restaurant is huge inside and nicely laid out. I met a friend here for dinner and we had an overall decent experience. Our server was friendly and attentive at the beginning but completely fell off at the end. We had to flag another staff member when wanted to get dessert and another server later for our check as our server stopped checking on us after our entrees arrived. Besides our server issue, the cocktails we ordered were delicious. I loved mine - Peartini and Fleur de Lis and was able to try the Malibu Daquiri and Lemon Drop my friend got. All were so good! For food, I got the Crab cakes and my friend got the Rattlesnake Pasta. My crab cakes were good but not amazing. We also shared a Key Lime Pie for dessert which was also pretty good. A decent experience here but the cocktails were the highlight.

This Copper Canyon is located in Silver Spring right near the Nando's and (now) Chido's Mexican restaurant. I like this location better than the one in Lanham, I think the ambiance is better, starting with the beautiful fire pit burning outside of the entrance. It's really great in the wintertime. Always great service, and great food. This place is always a hit; I've never experienced a miss. The cocktails are always on point as well. The restrooms are always clean and so is the restaurant. Every employee I've ever encountered here has had a great/positive attitude. I enjoy their Lemon drop martini, and their rotisserie chicken is to die for.... Probably the highlight of their menu, also they have great fiesta eggrolls, and I love their Salmon as well. Only thing that is a bit odd to me are---the Jalapeno's inside of the cornbread. Some people may enjoy it, I just don't. However, that doesn't take away from all the good this place has to offer. Also, this is a very romantic spot, if that's what you're going for, perfect for a date.... Plus, I don't believe I've ever seen children present while dining here. Not to say they don't dine here, just haven't seen any while dining.

I've been here once years ago, and I thought the food was fine. Nothing noteworthy. It's chain restaurant food. However, it popped up on my door dash search for prime rib around the time the pandemic started. I've ordered delivery several times since from here - mostly for the prime rib. The Prime Rib is pretty consistent and has that salty crust on the outside. It's usually cooked to the requested temperature. The Iron Skillet Cornbread is always good but this last time was a bit spicy with the chunks of jalapeño throughout. It's not a bad thing unless you have a child that wanted to eat it, which we do. New for us with this order was the Roasted Brussels Sprouts app, which was tangy and savory and not soggy as it often is with takeout. We also got the spinach artichoke dip, and it was just decent. Nothing special. Pot pie was surprisingly spicy. Again our child couldn't eat it. I can't review the ambiance or service bc it's been years since we dined in. I will continue to order takeout prime rib from here when I'm craving it bc it's close enough to us that it's still warm when it arrives. If you're ordering from far away and would need to reheat the food, take that into consideration. I usually don't order steaks and meats that would require reheating for fear of drying it out. Plus I like my steaks medium rare. Overall decent food. Good prime rib.

Steak Frites was very good with the French Fries.

the steak was absolutely the best. service was great. The ambience was perfect. Everybody in the restaurant was very friendly, always asking. How are you doing?

I came here on a random Thursday on a whim with no reservations. The street parking was limited and I was lucky to find a spot in front but I believe there's a garage nearby. They have a fireplace type thing at the door which is pretty cool. The wait time was give or take 5-10 mins so not too bad. The restaurant has a dim vibe, it's clean, calm, and pretty spacious for my view. I ordered the following: Eastern Shore Style Crabcakes- 7/10, they were just okay. Leaf spinach- 9/10, pretty fresh Mashed potatoes- 8/10, typical Oyster bay Sauvignon Blanc- 8/10 They was nothing on the menu that truly stood out to me and I honestly don't think I'd return because there was nothing I ate that wowed me or that I would crave again.

It was awesome to see the diversity of the diaspora from the African continent (East and West Africa) the Caribbean/Latin America, and America all in one safe space enjoying themselves without the performative and obnoxiousness from others I would give them that. The Billy Holliday mural and the interior design has a nice sleek, New American vibe. My problem is the service, the cost, and the food although solid, I cooked a brunch the following day myself not to brag (scrambled eggs and cheese, friend potatoes with diced green peppers and onions) that was masterful in comparison to the gingerbread style big ole French toast and fancy "scrambled eggs and cheese" this spot has. The service charge was ridiculous as my mom's bill was 70 plus bucks for just the seafood shrimp and grits which was nice, a very sweet pre-diabetic lemonade, and bread pudding that was like bougie Georgetown prices with the dominant culture. I paid 40 dollars (Hairstylist from Baby Boy!) for French toast, scrambled eggs with cheese and lemonade. The food is nice and all but nothing to die for. We came for the vibe, culture, and atmosphere also, but we do prefer the chains of Dennys and I-hop if I am not doing the cooking which is most of the time. The server would dirty mack and take a while flirting with women at the bar and playing around with staff, and I had to give a clinical gaze with my glasses and hand signal for him to return. We did ask up front about service charge and gratuity included from the beginning but they have a very Southern slow pace here that I agree with others and I am a very patient man and notice that. It can take a while to get your checks, get change, just other tasks that you would think would be handled more efficiently. The place attracts the social media crowd, with professional pictures, the glitz, the glamor the Hollywood red carpet of the DMV, but the structural integrity of the pricing, service, and experience needs to step its game up in the worst way. We certainly see this place being a bit turned up and precarious in later hours. The closest parking that is reliable enough is the Safeway garage so it is not the most convenient, where as at least Matchbox has the Wayne and Colesville garages to park at and then enter. It was nice to support the Black owned establishment but it is a 1 and done spot. Majic 102.3 put in the hype a couple of years ago, but I found the truth, no thanks, it is a performative culture that still has that ole Georgia Ave. street culture.

Today we took a drive to Kaldi's to order some breakfast to-go. The restaurant was really packed but the ordering process was actually pretty smooth. We ordered their 12oz lattes, my drink was modified to add a splash of almond milk. The lattes sadly weren't anything special and could probably benefit from some cinnamon or a flavor of some sort to bring a little personality to the drink. To eat, we ordered their waffles (sorry for the to-go pictures) I ordered the sweet corn waffle and my boyfriend ordered the waffles with fresh berries. The waffles were PHENOMENAL!!!!!!!!! Probably the best and most creative waffles I've had in a long time. The sweet corn waffles were magical. The addition of jalapeño peppers perfectly balanced off the sweet flavor seeping through the waffles. It was beautifully paired. The waffles were also very creamy and soft. Only downside is that I didn't care for the random garnish of corn of top but I get the presentation. This might have been better if it was seasoned or sautéed but the random corn didn't add or take away from the dish. My boyfriend lovedddddd his waffles and berries and said that it was the perfect breakfast selection. I'll definitely come back to order more waffles but also wished that they had a way of conducting pick up through their online portal. As mentioned, it was packed in there but there were some nice seating around the restaurant so I assume that you'll need to get there really early in order to dine in. Overall, I'll return and hopefully I can try another beverage.

My cousin and bestie were in town and wanted a true DC brunch/day party vibe, so we gave it a shot and overall, it was a good time. The variety was definitely a highlight. I wish they had real food utensils instead of plastic. The mimosas, however, were very juice-heavy and pretty weak . We ended up switching to bottle service so we could enjoy real champagne, which was much better. The absolute best part of the experience was our server, Noah kind, attentive, friendly, and fine AF . She made sure our drinks stayed flowing and kept us informed about our table time so there were no surprises. Top-tier service. The space itself is large with two levels. Visited last night to celebrate a few things…read more I have to start with the best part of our experience. Staff ( i wish I got their names at the front) were so pleasant! Alex, our server was AMAZING!!! please ask for him every time! We initially wanted to be at the bar but it was packed! We ended up in a private style booth in the back. The booth offers curtains and the ability to adjust your lighting and music.... lovely bonus. We ordered a lot: Shrimp Cocoktail -9 Crab balls - 9 (wish they were more or bigger...comes with 5) Steak Frites - 8 Chicken - 8 (didnt care the root vegetables but the flavor, overall, was great) Scallops - 7 (great flavor, some were under. The bed of spring vegetables could have been spinach instead...?) Complimentary birthday cake 10...amazing!! We also got a few drinks that I cant rate, but my friends said were great! Will absolutely be back again! ALEX is wonderful and the food is consistently amazing. Kudos to the Chefs !!!

The staff as always is great! They have an all night happy hour at the bar only and the drinks were as I remembered. During the happy hour I stick to the classic martini offerings. My go to is the lemon drop. Love it! Unfortunately the happy hour food offerings were not as I remembered. I appreciate the staff because anything we did not like they took back and removed it from the tab. I did enjoy the wings though. If you are looking for a place to meet a friend for a drink at happy hour I would say come but maybe not focus on the bar bites. Again this review is only for their happy hour. I went this time on a Tuesday and it was not as crowded that night but I know sometimes happy hour can be packed and it's only offered in the bar area.

In March 2018, my girlfriend at the time wanted to go here as there was a group of people going for St. Patrick's Day. We went here along with her young pre-teen daughter. They almost weren't going to let us in, but my g/f assured we just needed to eat, and they said since it was before 9 PM, it'd be ok. I enjoyed my Shepherd's Pie, a solid option here. After eating, there was dancing on the dance floor and a couple of people I knew. Then, my g/f went out to the dance floor. I'm sitting at the table with my g/f's pre-teen daughter who fell asleep. It was awkward for me especially since someone asked me if she was ok, and I said she's just tired. We left sometime in the midnight hour. But the fact of the matter was that my g/f shouldn't have put her daughter in that situation. On a positive, her daughter graduated high school & is still alive today in 2025, so her mom did something right. The other time I was here was in February 2023. I decided to have my birthday party at Copper Canyon in downtown Silver Spring. Then, a few of us were willing to hang longer asking what I wanted to do. I said I remember McGinty's was a good Irish pub. So, I had a couple of more drinks here. Staff was nice and helpful getting me drinks. Overall, I like McGinty's as it's a cute Irish pub with live entertainment, dance floor, & good Shepherd's Pie.

The best thing about McGinty's was the service. Our host proactively reconfigured a table for three…read moreto more comfortably accommodate the four of us. The servers were friendly and prompt, and cheerfully gave us separate checks when it was time to pay. But, unless you like your beer warm, the drinks may disappoint you. My beet salad with goat cheese and grapefruit was beautifully described on the menu - enough to seduce me to order something that was not an Irish classic - but was not enjoyable enough to finish. The fries were good though, and the fried fish that others ordered looked to be perfectly done. So perhaps I'll come back when I'm in the mood for some classical fare. Too bad about the beer though.,,
