I have lived in Seattle for over 30 years and for 30 years vI have always wanted to eat here. What at Pike place, I was in a hurry, was worth other people that wanted something different, whatever the reason, didn't have the opportunity until today when a friend suggested for my birthday that we eat somewhere I've never been but always wanted to try. I thought of copacabana. When we arrived, the hostess greeted us and pointed us to the menu on the wall. I asked her, which dish is the restaurant known most for? She answered the paella. I responded how about a Bolivian dish? She said, Spaniards conquered all of us, but if you want a Bolivian dish, try the papas. I ordered the papas and my friend ordered the estafato. The papas were unique because of the peanut sauce but flavor-wise was 1 or 2. The estafato was average. The huminta was decent. Overall the experience was disappointing. I can't imagine their paella could hold a candle to Harvest Vine's which remains my favorite restaurant in Seattle. read more

Pro- Service was good - friendly staff. Cons- Overpriced Foods for the small amount that they give you. Look at the Seafood Paella I ordered - I only see 2 small shrimps 2 mussels and 1 clam ... that's it for $20 !!! They just spread the rice all over the plate to make it look full. The yellow rice tasted old and over cooked. Bread is cold and not even toasted and cut nicely. Sadly, there's no other Spanish restaurants in downtown ... so you have no choice, but know that this is not worth your dollar - I Do Not Recommend this place . read more

Came here because it looked cute, but the food was very disappointing. The Bloody Mary was really bad, sopa de camarones tasted like it was from a can. The paella is not worth $19 and did not taste good. The only thing I enjoyed was the huminta and the lomito saltado and even those weren't that great. The staff is nice and we had great service, but I was disappointed with our meal. The entrees are overpriced for what it is. read more

This deserves 5* for the location and view alone. You can't get anymore Pike Place iconic restaurant than this. You're in the heart of the market. You can hear the music of the street performers, the view of a perfect Seattle sunset. We had ceviche, shrimp soup, paella and pisco sour/sangria. The ceviche was amazing! I love that they serve it with bread instead of chips. My friend ordered the shrimp soup because she was feeling a little under the weather but she let me try it first and it was delicious bursting with so much flavor. She also let me try her sangria which was absolutely delicious. The pisco sour is a perfect Latin food compliment. This was the first one I've ever had and it was delicious. Our main course was the paella... it was so good! I've had this dish a couple of times since at other places and they didn't compare. Overall, if nothing else you have to go for the Pike Place experience. Have a drink and appetizers and watch the sunset from their outdoor seating. Their cute red chairs and umbrellas... you can't miss them on top of the Main Street down pike places infamous cobblestone road. Got the nachos. And can tell right away that they were microwaved. Only the middle of the nachos was piping hot. Not even 3-5 minutes yet and the cheese goes cold and hard. Wonderful view of Pike Place if you sit outside on the balcony. You must be eating if you want to sit outside. Small place and highly coveted outdoor seating. If you want to just drink you will be seated inside. We were under time constraints, so we ordered the shrimp salad and sangria. The sangria is house made and was delicious, but the salad was the star. Everything was fresh, no skimping on the shrimp here. Ir was dressed appropriately and the avocado was a great touch. Touristy in that it is right in Pike Place Market, but it was nice for a quick bite. read more

We chose this restaurant because it had balcony with a nice view of Pike Place, but unfortunately their menu and service weren't as great as the location. I chose the vegetarian salad, and I very much enjoyed it, but everyone else in my party didn't have the same experience with their food. The service was very slow, despite the fact that it was not very busy. We had a waitress that left and was replaced with someone else which I think might be the reason our orders were messed up, but they completely forgot a drink and a meal. We decided not to tell them till after the bill came and just go buy something somewhere else. (Once notified about the meal they brought out a sampler on the house, and our waitress was very apologetic.) P.S. bathrooms were very clean, in case people want to know. read more

We stopped here after touring Pike Place because it was good weather, they had a patio, and it wasn't busy. Based on my star rating, it is now clear to me why it was not! We ordered drinks, which were decently priced. And they had 2 Vitamixes so you know they probably make a mean margarita. But we stuck to beer and sangria. Drinks took a while to come which was another boo moment. When our server came back, we ordered chips, salsa and guacamole. The dips were flavourless and I'm pretty convinced that the guacamole was a powder mix. The chips were super good but was all around disappointed. We tried to order more but it was hard to get our servers attention. We eventually moved inside the restaurant where we ordered more drinks and watched another server eat behind the bar. We walked in and were directed to a table. 20 minutes later, I tried to get the attention of one of the waiters who was chatting with another staff and while she acknowledged my call with a head nod, she continued to chat and laugh. A couple got seated in front of us, and promptly got a waiter to get their drinks order. I was confused and communicated that we were interested in ordering something. Once again, the waiter acknowledged my request but this time, I got a gesture indicating that I needed to wait. Long story short, another ten minutes went by and I simply walked out. Service was awful... and it is a shame because this place is at the heart of Pike's place and has a beautiful outdoor seating area overlooking the flower market. I urge the restaurant manager to invest in training for customer service or simply hire people who are interested in working. read more

If it were anything else, the paella would have held up to all the hype about it. It didn't. But that's ok. Because I wanted to be here. 5 star view, 3 star food, 2 star service... I love playing pretend tourist in Seattle. It reminds me why I love this city. I'll tell you though, I think that people visiting Seattle might get the wrong impression if they only go to tourist restaurants like Copacabana. The menu was interesting and had a good selection of both meaty dishes as well as vegie food, but when it finally arrives to your table, it's a bit of a let down. The ingredients of my salad weren't exactly what was listed on the menu...and the amount of steak in it was a bit shy. The cheezy corn bread stuff was awesome, but way too greasey to eat an entire order of it. The service was super slow (15 minutes to get water and sangria) and the server wasn't really into helping us. I don't plan on going back, but on a beautiful day, I might make the same mistake twice. read more

Very surprised with all the negative rating. This your a very homie restaurant. Exactly what you would see/feel if you were in Bolivia. The dishes and silverware wake you feel like you're eating at someone home. The view is perfect for people watching. We were greeted to be seated quickly and our waitress was wonderful. This place gets 3 stars for the food, but 5 stars for the people watching and location, so I'm giving it 4 stars overall. This is theoretically a Bolivian restaurant, but as many of the other reviews say, it has a somewhat pan-latin feel as well. The food is not disappointing, but not amazing either. You will likely enjoy whatever you get, but you could probably eat something tastier for less elsewhere. This place really shines in terms of location and people watching. It sits up on a balcony overlooking Pike Place market where you can see everything bustling around and enjoy the view not only of the market but also of the sound in the distance. Also, this place is a great respite from a day out in downtown Seattle. When I have friends or family come into town and we're doing touristy things in Pike Place all morning, it's great to be able to walk just away from the bustle and get a table to sit down at to relax and recharge while still feeling like you're out and about. It's not easy to find out how to get into this restaurant, which works to your advantage in terms of getting a seat, but you need to walk up Post Alley (the little alley that runs at an angle away from the main fruit and flower shops in the market) and then it will be on your left about half a block up. read more

Stumbled upon this little gem in Pike Market Place. It sits upon a deck & has a beautiful view of the Seattle coastline. This place is hella random. I've walked by it at least 101 times, but never looked up from the street. It's the second floor balcony with alllll the umbrellas, in case you're wondering. Review is only for drinks, as it was a hot summer evening. They've got everything from daiquiris to pina coladas, to pisco sours here. Every time I come to Seattle I have to stop here! The first time I came in 2018 I just stopped because everything else nearby was a long wait and I'm glad I did. The copa salad is AMAZING. We were looking for food in Pike Place and had already been to the famous stores as it was our fourth stop at the market in four days so we chose randomly and came here since the balcony seating had a great view of the market for people watching. While the view is great, the food is nothing to write home about. I ordered a fish dish that came with rice. The actual fish itself was cooked very well and made up for the lack of flavor in the fish as a whole. There was a sauce but the sauce seem so watered down that you only got bare hints of the flavor and was otherwise more on the bland side. What a joke, one look at the menu and we quickly realized the place is a fraud, almost nothing from Bolivia on the menu and why all the seafood????? Bolivia Is land locked. Nice Spanish restaurant located in the heart of Pike Place Market. The wait time with no one in front of my dad and I was about 10 minutes. Keep in mind, expect much faster seating if you opt to sit indoors. We also arrived at a good time. The weather was nice and a line quickly gathered behind us. Once we were seated, service was standard and prompt. I ordered the Paella, which went really well with the Sangria I ordered. Kind of pricey considering the food wasn't out of this world, but the view was nice. We had the outdoor table near the end, so we had a nice view of the water. The hot chocolate tasted as if Swiss Miss developed a meth addiction and stopped trying. 40 minutes later I'm in cold sweat of stomach anguish. This restaurant should be shut down for public health. We ended up strolling along post alley directly across from the market. We decided to climb the stairs to the cafe. We were pleasantly surprised to find an available table overlooking the market and with views of the sound. It was nice to eat outside with a breeze and an umbrella. I had a fabulous mojito that really hit the spot. Service was lightening fast. I ordered a potato with peanut sauce dish. Prices were reasonable even for the touristy area of pike place market. If you're looking for something good to eat, I recommend the Chinese place downstairs! The food is terrible- no flavor at all.
