Jenny and Lisa are the best! If you're a repeat customer they will remember you and greet you by name. Most of the time it is just the two of them and they fill up fast, so it is best to make an appointment. I don't think that's any reason to give them a poor review, though. CASH ONLY! Came here by reference from a friend and I'm not disappointed! I live in Thornton and just happened to be in town needing a rebase. Lisa greeted me right away and for a Saturday it wasn't busy. She asked what I wanted and though the color I wanted wasn't available she showed me options and told me to take my time looking. I wanted to try the mood colors and was torn between 3 colors. Lisa painted samples on my nails and I chose this hot pink that, when warm, turns into a natural light pink. Love it! I often frequent the Safeway that this nail salon shares a parking lot with so I figured I should check it out, especially after seeing they had a perfect score on Yelp. These ladies were so nice and welcoming. You can tell that they have regulars because every customer I saw them interact with has a close relationship with them. A little over a year ago I dropped the vacuum cleaner on my big toe and it finally grew back out about half way so I was hoping to have half a pretty toenail. Lisa did an amazing job and my toes are pretty again. I really enjoyed my manicure/pedicure and look forward to going again. I just need to remember that they are CASH ONLY. read more

Acrylics only lasted 3.5 weeks and easily popped off! Polish change is $7, but if you want nails to be filed, it's $10!!!

I love this place. I have tried many different salons for my acrylics over the past few years, but I always seem to make it back here. Lisa and Jenny are always polite and fantastic. I never feel rushed and they are always thorough. The last time I was there I had to leave before Jenny could paint my nails so I had her throw just a clear coat on. She noticed I was in a rush and she said "let me get the quick dry clear for you." This place is next to a Papa Murphy's. My son and I were getting pizzas that evening and Jenny recognized me through the window as I walked by. She came into the pizza place and offered to paint my nails for me since I didn't get to earlier that day. I was blown away by her kindness. (Although I still didn't get them painted because I knew my 7 year old son wouldn't sit still that long) The ladies here are amazing and I would recommend them every time. read more

This review is a couple of days late - but I wanted to see how my nails would hold up after a few days and the result: still looking great! I have been cleaning and cooking and my nails still look great. Jenny and lisa took care of my friend and me when we came to get mani pedis. We both wait tables and mani pedis are a treat and a god send! I told them we were waitresses and I'm not sure if she was giving me special treatment because of that, but Jenny rubbed my feet and hands for a good bit and she did a fantastic job on my nails and making me feel relaxed. Today (Thursday) I went to Connie's for the first time since it was close to my house. I was very disappointed when I walked in, not very friendly. The lady in the front asked me what I needed done and I told her I just wanted a color change. NOT a full pedicure just a color change. She told me that I would have to come back at 5pm, mind you it was 3pm when I got there. I was very upset for it's just a color change I need. It was only 2 people working on a Thursday, one on nails and another on pedicures. I would hope there's more workers since Thursday is the day closer to the weekend and everyone needs a pedi since it's the summer a lot of toes will be out. I won't be returning. I wish I couldn't give any stars. read more

I was a little late for my appointment. Turning into the parking lot is intimidating coming from the north on peoria. I recommend come from the south on peoria or westbound on Mississippi. Needless to say my nails and feet are perfect. The atmosphere is like a new nail salon. Three of the four stations are set up. From the four or five pedicure chairs only one was used. None of this is an issue just an observation. Jenny and I started to talk about travel and she recommended a tour agency for my trip to China. The comfort and welcoming customer service of the shop is a vanishing talent when going to many of the local nail salons. Get in get out. Multi-tasking while giving little to no attention to details or interaction with the client. This is now my #1 nail and feet spot. Again i highly recommend this shop. read more

This place was amazing!! I came here because the last place I went made me bleed and they weren't well done. When I got there Lisa was helping a customer already and she said the wait was like 30 minutes. It was only like 15-20 and when she did my nails, they came out perfect. The $10 for taking the nails off was a little much, but it was okay. My design that she did was super cute and they look natural, not bulky at all! And I also got a pedicure too, and the lady that did my pedi was super sweet and kept making sure I was doing okay and not hurt or uncomfortable. I'm definitely going back! read more

I have gone to Connie's going on 20 years and love the place. Jenny usually does my nails for me. Today I had Lisa, whom I also know and has done my nails before. Something must have been wrong because she cut my cuticles and three cuticles were bleeding from her cutting them. I am very disappointed because I don't think this should happen in any situation. I came across this place after the 2 places I usually go to were booked and there was an hour + wait. I was hesitant as I usually am with new nail salons. Based on the appearance, I was even more so hesitant but decided to give it a try. Jenny is great. Ive been going to exclusively see her for the past 2 months. I wanted gel overlay nails and when I called they said they did them. I wanted extensions because my nails have not been done for a while. I should have walked away when she glued on extensions rather than using a mold. Next she brought out some powder hand labeled "Gel Powder." What was I thinking??? There is no such thing as gel powder! The "gel powder" was applied just like acrylic and hardened on its own. Isn't gel supposed to cure under a UV light? I did get a gel topcoat for $37. Fool me once BUT never again! Watch out for bad business practices. read more
