Chinatown

They have 2 sections, one is for the surgical supplies (most things that are non-consumable except…read morefor ensure and etc) is there when you walk in to your left. The main part of the pharmacy is further back about 10 paces. The people here generally don't speak English well except for the occasional college student there. They generally cater to the patients that speak Cantonese and Mandarin. They accept most insurance cards and Part D Medicare. Have your Social Security# ready if you don't have your Medicare information with you. When trying to give refills for things that are special orders such as anything that comes only brand name call 1 weekday ahead (so if you plan to pick it up Sat call Friday morning, don't expect anything to be there on Sun, they don't get delivery for their supplies until Monday) so they order it for you. Call the Number on the label and when someone picks up tell them you want to have a refill done. They will normally transfer you to someone that can help. Give the Rx# on the label and they will normally confirm another bit of information to make sure it is yours. When filling a new prescription you'll get a number (that you'll have to return) and I suggest waiting there if you are the only one there or come back later if there are more than 3 people waiting ahead of you. You should call them later to ask them if everything is ready to be picked up so you don't have to walk back here. Generally pretty busy right after lunch time 2-3pm and quiet around 9-10am and 5pm-close.

My dad had been using them for years to fulfill Rx's for Diabetes testing supplies. This week,…read morewith prescriptions in hand from his doctor, Confucius (aka Mannings) refused to order the supplies because they indicated that he gets his other medication from a different pharmacy. Horrible place of business!!! They are on the list of network pharmacies of his medicare plan, and they refuse to fill the prescriptions?!?! We are upset because my dad didn't get the health service that they are supposed to provide, as a networked pharmacy. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE...CUSTOMERS BEWARE. Being in Chinatown, NYC, do they (Confucius) feel that they can treat the non-English speaking patrons like this and get away with it? I will file complaints with the insurance carrier and NYS agencies, where possible.
