Levitt came to my rescue when I needed hand sanitizer and masks during the early months of covid when you couldn't find anything on Amazon unless you were willing to pay $129 for a ten-pack from China. Levitt's is not a particularly attractive space. They have a few rows of non-prescription drugs and toiletries that aren't laid out in a manner that is pleasing to the eye. But the set-up is functional even if the selection is limited. A good 30+ minute walk from my home, this is unlikely to be a pharmacy I would continue to visit unless people start hoarding PPE again. That said, it is a welcome change from CVS or Duane Reade, and those looking for a neighborhood pharmacy would do well to check out Levitt. read more

Throughout the pandemic, I've gone to Levitt for care questions, PCR tests, and medication. They have taken great care of me and my family. I am so happy that my insurance now lets me go back here again and not CVS! Levitt was my pharmacy for years before my insurance made me change. When my son had cancer, they filled his RXs. This was before pharmacies were required to print out potential interaction concerns. Here at Levitt, the pharmacist always monitored his scripts and gave me advice and warnings about what he should avoid while on it. He knew whole history. I have always relied on his recommendations. If I have questions, I am confident he is giving me good advice about medications. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. I feel like I'm buying from friends. We are luck to have this business in our neighborhood, and I'm glad I'm back with them. read more

John is absolutely Fantastic, Adam is Wonderful, and Jasmine is Sweet. -- and They All seem hardworking and make Levitt Pharmacy the great place that it is (friendly, welcoming and intelligent). This pharmacy is a true LES gem. The wonderfully friendly amazing kind team is always knowledgeable. If they don't know something they will find out about it and then get back to you. My medical insurance doesn't allow me to use outside of network pharmacies anymore. Prior to this change over, I filled all prescriptions at Levitt's. Adam is a major reason along with Jasmine and the pharmacists. There is a gentleman who sometimes works the front end who is a welcome addition. Now my family member uses this pharmacy. They provide more than medicine. They provide comfort, safety, awareness and that old LES community feel--if you know, you know. I can't say enough about this place. It's been mentioned that it doesn't look too "appealing". IMO, it looks just right. I personally prefer the warm heart of a person more than a "pretty store" . That being said, the store is clean, well stocked and prices are lower than Target and definitely CVS. They even sell birthday cards, medical supplies and a little seating area that is always clean and tidy. It takes you back to an earlier era when your community members lived and worked in the community. I hope they NEVER leave the LES. They are true blue New Yawkers and more importantly LES members. read more

A little disappointed. Called ahead to drop off some UPS packages that were larger in size. Got approval from the store to bring them, but the owner rejected them when I showed up and said his employees didn't know what they were talking about. He yelled and screamed at me for being in there and caused an unnecessary hassle and embarrassment. I won't ever stop in this store again. read more

Promised 24h turnaround for pcr Covid test. Did our test on Saturday morning and today is Wednesday. Still no result. They do not send our weekend test kits until Monday night and not in order of testing day. Some people who tested Monday morning had their results returned before us Buyers beware! We will never go back there to do a Covid test again! read more

Levitt pharmacy is a wonderful pharmacy. They had PCR and rapid tests. The entire staff was so nice to me. I was scared to get the test but they were very reassuring and professional. I was in need to get tested and this place was absolutely clutch. CitiMD opens at 8 but literally stops taking people at 10am... With this place i had to wait at most 40 mins to get tested and results came around 3 days later. I also think it's nice to have at home kits just in case and this was the only place I could find them at. Shout out to John for helping me out too!! super nice and friendly guy. highly recommend coming to this place for a PCR test rather than CitiMD or any other urgent care! read more

I felt super safe and taken care of by the staff during the pandemic. They had clear signage and protocols in place for maintaining social distancing, including bringing my prescription out onto the sidewalk when they saw that that was where I was most comfortable waiting. I stopped by to pick up a package today. The woman behind the counter asked my name. When I stated my name, she started laughing hysterically, and her customer (who was of the same ethic background as the worker) laughed out loud as well, both for quite some time. Once the laughter died down, I asked the worked why she laughed. She replied, "well, the name". I asked the customer the same question; he shook his head, looked uncomfortable and said, "I don't know." I'm an ethic monitory, with an ethic name. I am greatly offended that workers in this diverse neighborhood think it's appropriate to openly laugh at name different than theirs. Do better, be better. read more

This pharmacy epitomizes the idea of "mom and pop" shop. They are extremely small, helpful, courteous and professional -- all the qualities lost when dealing with other mammoth pharmacy chains. Although not open 24 hours or on Sundays, it is worth it to plan ahead. I've been a patron more than 20 years now and will proudly continue my patronage. read more

Old school pharmacy in all the best ways. Reminds me of my corner drugstore I went to growing up. They get to know you by name, check in with you, and have a super staff. I avoid the chain drugstores as much as possible in favour of Levitt as whatever I do with them is a nightmare and with Levitt it's a pleasure. If my insurance let me do everything with Levitt I would but even for asperin and Sudafed or other general medicines I'll walk the extra block to them. Cheers to them! read more
