An excellent service experience! Shout out to DGDG group for continued preowned & unexpected service need shortly after purchase. My fabulous 2007 G35 was stolen, 2 days after it was home from being repaired after it was vandalized. After considering Toyota & Honda, I wanted something different. Mazda! I ended up driving almost 2 hours to Stevens Creek Mazda, San Jose, to purchase a 2016 preowned Mazda 6. The car had to be jumped 2 times in order to test drive, not a good sign. The dealership installed a new battery at no charge, and was most considerate in their understanding of my "pressure buying" situation. I wrote my 1st ever Yelp review praising my unexpected positive used car purchase experience, particularly after having to deal with funky online car sites, and the dealerships who received these lead generators. This is my 2nd Yelp review. Easter Sunday my car fob wasn't working....trunk wouldn't open, doors wouldn't unlock, car wouldn't start (only got one fob upon purchase as this was not a pre-certified situation). I looked for another DGDG Mazda dealer closer to my home, and found Concord Mazda to go to for an additional key. I had planned on going there to purchase a back-up fob (not inexpensive) once all car purchase costs (car needed additional repairs) were paid for at the end of the month. Unfortunately, my timing didn't work out to my benefit. Couldn't tell if it was a battery issue with the fob, or if I had bigger issues. There was no way to tell if it was fob battery as I didn't have another key to compare it to. Of course, as this was my 1st pre-owned car purchase, I got very nervous about possibly buying a lemon, and frantic over how much more money I would have to put into the car. I spoke with Celestina, (not sure of correct spelling) Receptionist, on Sunday, and she was incredibly helpful. I made arrangements to come by the next day to the Parts Dept. to have them replace with a Mazda fob battery. We also made a diagnostic appointment for the following Thursday in case it wasn't a fob battery issue. (It is a very busy department, I suggest planning ahead for service appointments). Unfortunately, the fob didn't work with the new battery. On Thursday, AAA came to tow me out to Concord, and the great driver suggested that he try to jump the car just to make sure that wasn't the problem. I told him it would be hard to believe that the battery had died in that I had just had a new battery installed upon purchase. Wouldn't you know it, the car started...it was the car battery! For some reason, I just didn't think the fob battery issue would be impacted by the car battery as it was brand new. I was able to drive to Concord Mazda, and worked with Millie Ramos, a fabulous Service Advisor. She kept me informed throughout the appointment on what was happening, and it ended up they found a TRACKER hidden under the hood that was draining the battery...what!?! They asked to keep the car overnight to run more tests with and without the tracker. They were kind enough to provide a ride to Concord BART, shout out to Danny the driver! :) Their keeping me informed as to the car's status was excellent, and the videos they provided of the services rendered came as a complete surprise. Not only did they show me where the tracker was under the hood, they did a complete FULL inspection of the car (i.e. car up on lift, tires removed) to make sure that everything was in excellent operating condition. After all of this, they didn't charge me for any parts or labor, incredibly appreciated! I did get the new spare fob as I didn't want to be caught in this situation ever again! Robert Turner is awesome. I set out to buy a new Mazda3 in these crazy times where they are hard to find and ended up getting exactly what I wanted. I knew when my car got on the boat, when it arrived at the Benicia port, and when it arrived at the dealership with a whopping total of 4 miles on it. The purchase process was simple, co workers Paul and Sammy were friendly and helpful, they didn't haggle and make you feel uncomfortable. And in my case don't make me feel old because I can't figure out the new technology and keep trying to help me even though they don't need to. All in all a wonderful experience. My wife and I bought a new 2022 Mazda3 Sedan Select SE on 04/28/22 from Concord Mazda. We had good and bad experiences from there. At first, we met Adrian Burke (Online Product Specialist) after I was interested in the '22 Mazda3 that I found from checking out Concord Mazda website. Adrian was very responsive, nice, and courteous. He is a truly remarkable guy. You can tell that he cares about you and is an honest person. We test drove the car and loved it. Then, we talked about the finance options and Adrian walked through us patiently and non-aggressively. After our credit was scrutinised, Adrian informed us that we had a great credit score which was (720+) and we were qualified for two point something percentage APR for (72) months. Adrian also offered us if we were interested in buying additional warranty package for up to 100,000 mileage. When we declined the offer, he considerately accepted our choice. Then, we were sent to Finance Manager Jamil Nazem, who was going to handle the paperwork for finance and contractual procedure. It was when nightmare and ordeal had started. Jamil was totally different from Adrian. Jamil was manipulative, dishonest, and unpleasant. Even though we were informed by Adrian and another Sales Manager Samuel before we met Jamil that we had a great credit score and eligible for lower APR, Jamil told us a totally different story. Jamil did not want to disclose what our credit scores were although we asked him. He said that we were only eligible for 4.99% APR for (72) months if we didn't purchase additional warranty package. He indicated that he would only apply for 2.39% APR if we decided to buy additional warranty package for extra $2,700. We told him that Adrian and another Sales Manager Samuel said that we were not required to buy additional warranty package in order to qualify for 2.39% APR. We almost left the conversation and turned back. But we were in urgent need of having a car to commute to work, considering the shortages of inventory in car industry at present. Finally, we had to purchase additional warranty package for $2,700 to qualify for 2.39% APR even though we didn't want it. We were really upset with Finance Manager Jamil Nazem from Concord Mazda. We truly loved the '22 Mazda3 that we bought from there. We had a great time with Adrian, who is an honest and caring person with great salesmanship. But Finance Manager Jamil Nazem from Concord Mazda?? Stay way from him. We felt like we were scammed by him. I would have given 5 stars all the way if we didn't encounter Jamil. read more

I scheduled a service appointment and waited for 2.5 hours for my car's routine maintenance, only to be told at the end that I needed to reschedule my appointment to another date since the technician had gone back home, and they had not even started working on my car. Despite that they could have told me upfront that their service department was already at full capacity BEFORE I made my maintenance appointment, they kept accepting more service appointments than they could actually handle. Despite that at any time during my wait, they could have told me that their technician would be leaving soon, they let me sit through the entire duration of the service appointment and chose to leave me uninformed until the very end. Clearly, they thought my time was cheap enough so wasting it is not a big deal. After a long 2.5-hour wait for absolutely nothing, the staff at the dealership told me that they could help me schedule another appointment. It is laughable that they still believe I will give them a second chance after this incident which had significantly eroded my trust in them. Though I purchased my car from this dealership, and this is the closest dealership to my home, this experience is sufficient for me to stay away from them forever. I would rather go to a Mazda service center farther away than wasting my time here. read more

I left this feedback in response to a post-visit survey email and Greg (General Manager) personally followed up with me. He was incredibly friendly and promptly explained that the discount was an error on their site. Greg honored the discount, and promised that the team would make sure an issue like that didn't happen again. Is a vehicle diagnosis just an opinion?? You guys said my Mazda CX-5 suspension was shot. Needed control arms etc, = over 2k I take my vehicle to Stevens creek mazda and they say the suspension is fine and does not need replacement. They also catch something major that you missed!! My right rear caliper was stuck in closed position which fried my brake pads and rotor... WOW!! You missed that?? Basically I paid $800 for an oil change and cabin filter. WTF. Hello, I had a scheduled appointment with Concord Mazda for an oil change along with a full circle service inspection. I arrived at the dealership on time for my appointment. Mark was professional and expressed to me that the appointment would potentially take up to two hours. Sitting in the waiting room I kept myself occupied with work emails. After about two and a half hours, a brief chat between myself and another customer brought up the fact that he had arrived thirty minutes prior to myself. After just over three hours, I inquired to a staff member named Eric. His tone was curt, when I asked how much longer. and as he informed me "I don't know", when I expressed "It has been over three hours for an oil change." His approach appeared that he was far from concerned displayed by stating "I don't know who you are?" Understandable as he didn't. There were three people in the waiting area. I shared my name and then he said "I will check." My observation and objective feeling about his tone was dismissive. Having had great experiences at Mazda dealerships with maintenance and in general, this situation was alarming. It was surprising to hear that Concord Mazda does not offer courtesy loaner vehicle considering the expectation of a long duration of waiting time. This being just for a simple service oil change appointment. two hours as first advised, wonderful. Over three hours personally and over four for the other customer waiting. Ideally a loaner car or even more communication with customers, would greatly guarantee repeat business. This first visit wasn't seen to reflect professional nor considerate customer service. Historically in my personal, seven year experience at other Mazda dealerships there was a complimentary car wash with oil changes and other maintenance appointments. Really should be 5 star... more on that later 5 stars to the people who helped me. Both Marie Ang and especially Greg Kinner (GM) bent themselves double to get my business. As I told Marie, Never have I ever talked to the dealership GM before (it's usually the "let me talk to my boss" line) and Greg really stepped in and met my reqs to get my business. Kudos!! Now as to the -1*. I honestly don't think this is a Mazda or Concord Mazda issue, but I was there for 3.5 hours before I could drive off with my new car. This does not include test drive (which I did prev weekend), or negotiating on anyones part (which Greg and I did over email and phone this prev week). It was waiting to get time for someone to seat with me to sign the ppwk (by itself, took Maybe 10 minutes!), and to clean the car (that's Brand new and sitting in the lot except for test drives - though I guess a lot of those as it had 60mi on it). 3.5 hours to do a 10 minute activity. And it wasn't just me; a couple was there already when I arrived for my 1 PM appt (lady was smoking outside). They didn't leave until maybe 5 minutes before I did. I just hope, for their sake, that they weren't there that much longer before I arrived... As mentioned, likely not a Concord Mazda issue. Worse exp I had was more like 5 hours. But the thing is, this seem to be expected when in the dealership. Reserve half the day, if not the whole day to do your business. Last year, I bought another car "online" and it was delivered to my house. Even with the emails, text, phone calls all week (at the comfort of my home), ppwk signing took Maybe 10 minutes. Delivery guy was there for most of maybe 20 minutes (to include walk around of the car, etc). 20 minutes! read more

Then the finance meeting with "Dale " who cannot read the room (Never made eye contact). For some reason, Dale told us that the standard warranty they offered was worthless. So I went down here to buy a car for my mom. Needed something simple and easy. The sales person came, did his spiel and I just nodded until it got to the financial portion. Spoke with the finance manager. He kept selling (like man stop I already wanna buy. Give me a deal.) While waiting so they can discuss internally in the back, I over heard a client upset bout how his car had over $8k worth of repair done by the shop PRIOR to selling the car and BRAND FREAKIN NEW!! Turns out the repair slip had a $980 repair value which was under the 3% requirement to disclose to customers. So, they listed it as new and sold it anyways. The moment I heard that, I asked the finance manager is that true and if a customer ask, are they legally obligated to tell potential customers and he said only the repairs that's directly impacted. If multiple repairs were done they don't have to disclose that bc it could be all seperate issues. I never walked away so fast in my life. read more

CONCORD MAZDA is the B E S T car dealer ship I have EVER done business with. Their employees made me sooooo happy. They majority took excellent care of me and my Miata car. When l entered their hotel like clean and neat departments front desk office, l asked, "WHO WANTS TO FIGHT OVER ME?" IMMEDIATELY Millie's enthusiastic hand out of the employees popped up first happily replying, l DO!" I GENUINELY felt wanted AND welcomed. Now how warm and cool was that! Needless to say my car and l from that moment on experienced the best service we've ever had for sure. WOOHOO BABY! Seriously... While l waited for a Lyft driver to take me home as my car was being serviced, sweet Millie offered me to make myself comfortable in their well lit neat and clean hotel like lobby. It was furnished with coffee and tea accomidations and two nice size televisions in a nicely arranged comfortable and spacious seating area. While l was home, my car was thoroughly diagnosed. Surprisingly, l received via phone an unexpected live video of it's diagnosis and recommendations. NOW THAT IS A VERY, VERY, VERY COOL PERK! Afterwards, Millie contacted me letting me know my Lyft driver is on the way to pick me up to get my car. Now that's service all the way... When l picked up my car, I was so satisfied with Concord Mazda's services, I hunted down the boss (Sam) and kissed his hand for such fine team and operation. (He didn't know l was going to do that. l'd kissed Millie's hand earlier.) YES I SURE DID! Plus, I was so happy with Millie, l cut my prettiest roses l'd planted and personally gave them to her. Customer service is terrible. It's bad enough they can't seem to get their records updated after the third or fourth time letting them know my mother had passed away 3 years ago and they still continue to call and text me by my mothers name. I took my Mazda to get an oil change and the engine light was on. So they tell me just to have the tech look at it the price starts at $283 fine they had my car from 8:45 am then at 2:24 pm they informed me they are still working on the car. Then another text comes in with what's wrong with it. I tell them fix it I then get told the repairs will be done by end of day but can I leave it overnight so the can test drive it. I tell them it has to be ready by 9:30am the next morning. So the next morning I pull up to Mazda at 9:20 am and I receive a text at 9:23 saying my car is ready and if I use a credit card it's a 3% surcharge but if I write a check or use my debit card their is no fee. I was furious why couldn't you have told me that when I dropped off the car. The bill was already $1,300.00 and sum change and then you tacked on the 3%. They are a disgrace and as a business owner I will let all my customers know just how terrible their service is not to mention they never pick up the phone when you try to call for anything. Shame on them for how they do business as well as knowing they have coupons out for 15%off any service and coupons for oil changes and they never say a word to you about it. read more

Did not disclose all the information when selling their certified pre own Mazda. And have my car serviced unprofessionally. When I bought a certified pre-own Mazda 3, I accepted the price and did not bargain about it. However, Greg, a sales person, kept saying buying certified pre own is like buying a new car and the car had no any issue until I realized there are several missing pieces. When I am about to return the car 2 days after, Sam promised me that they will have my car fixed. When I went for fixing my car the first time, they told me that the parts are not delivered yet, so I needed to drive back and make another appointment. They should have called me ahead saying the parts were not there, but that is not the worst. The second time I went, they have the parts fixed and also gave me an inspection on my car. This time, they have my parts repaired but also have found that the serpentine belt was worn! I was only driving it for three weeks to Stanford, which is 5 miles away from me. Yes, I bought a car that is one hour away from me and had me going back and forth for multiple times. Anyway, that doesn't make any sense, but Erik said they will replace a new one for me without any charges. So, had it replaced. One week after, the engine light was on. The salespeople are great there. Sammy helped us throughout the entire process! Patty also helped us in the beginning too, however Sammy helped us close the deal. Sammy & patty were very friendly and nice answering our questions. Both provided excellent service. The entire experience was comfortable , no pressure at all, and very at ease. The guy in finance, Mark, was really helpful too. He tried his best to get us the deals we wanted for our Mazda 3 , and we really appreciated it.
