So I hate to break it to you all, but we recently bought the coolest car/truck that has or probably ever will grace the grounds of the earth, let alone the Walnut Creek Ford. A 2018 Ford Shelby Raptor Baja F150. So you're all out of luck, you will not find it again (there were only 500 total of them made). But our experience purchasing the truck of our dreams couldn't have been better. We first started working with Enrique from the beginning and he was very cordial, professional, polite, and let me say, not pushy at all!! If you are like us, we don't want to be bullied, pushed around or pressured going into a car dealership. We truly want to ask questions, look around, and be treated with respect and professionalism. This is what we got every time with Enrique. We went back and forth, texting with Enrique, discussing different price points and negotiations. When we had questions that he didn't know how to answer, he would discuss it with the manager, Cary, who we ended up working with quite a bit as well. Let me say, Cary is wonderful! You know working with him that he is always being honest and giving you the absolute best deal possible. He even said, that giving us the deal he was giving, the dealership was not making much money from it at all, and he showed us how much they were making, and it really was only like a little over $1k. Cary was again, always patient and sat down with us and our 100 questions. We never felt like they were getting sick of our indecisiveness or uncertainty. We ended up asking for a few things to be fixed on the truck and they were happy to accommodate. We are so happy with our truck, we get compliments about it basically everywhere we go, and it is such a great vehicle. Seeing as how we have a Mach E as our other car, I guess we're Ford people now! And we will be coming back here whenever we need to. We have also had great experiences with the service department of Ford. Ron is the guy who is always assigned our service, I'm not sure if we are just lucky or if that is because he will always get us from now on. But it is so helpful and down to earth. He always making sure we get a rental because with my husband's occupation, we cannot go any days without a car. The woman who helped us in the service department, I think she was a manager or supervisor, and unfortunately I am not sure of her name, but I think it was Rachel! We recently traded-in our Mach E and leased a non-Ford because of some incredible incentives that brand had. However, we were trying to figure out if we could easily sell our Ford to the other dealer. Walnut Creek Ford not only gave us precise, clear info on my question - they helped us figure out if the other dealer's offer was strong by giving me a benchmark from their used car inventory. Again, I wasn't even selling the car back to them - they simply wanted to make sure I had good intel. I don't know how they're training everyone at Walnut Creek Ford but this should be the national standard for dealerships. I'll be looking to get into another Ford for my next car. read more

This review is long over due, but well deserved. I didn't think it was possible for a Ford franchise to sport a Yelp rating equal to or greater than 4 stars. It's like encountering a cat with 5 legs.....freakishly rare. But after driving for over an hour and meeting folks like Patrick Cahill (sales) and Tim Lautze (Svc. Mgr.), Walnut Creek Ford's 4 star rating began to make sense. There's absolutely no pressure to buy. Sales staff are happy to let customers roam the inventory and answer questions should you have any....and the test drive route was the absolute longest that I've ever experienced. By the end, it left little doubt as to whether or not the vehicle exhibited acceptable ride and handling qualities. Should there be any defects in the vehicle at the point of purchase, Walnut Creek Ford will get it repaired, replaced or repainted (they work with a small body shop that is awesome at color matching) no questions asked. And if necessary, they'll even schedule a service loaner for you. This may be the only Ford dealership in NorCal that seems to genuinely care about customer satisfaction. So much so that I'll be making the hour+ drive for scheduled service. read more

THIS is the kind of review I LOVE to share! Here's the TL:DR: Purchasing from Walnut Creek Ford was the best experience I've EVER had dealing with auto dealerships! I've purchased dozens of new & used vehicles over the years and had some horrible experiences & PTSD walking into an auto dealership. The Mrs & I recently purchased a 30' RV travel trailer as well as a Lifetime National Parks Pass. We took a few camping trips & determined the trailer is a little too big & heavy for our Tacoma. So we decided to seek a 'proper truck'. We did some research and narrowed our search to a 2024 or 2025 Ford F-250, Chevy Silverado 2500HD & Dodge Ram Ram 2500. While at Walnut Creek Ford I was looking at the new F-250 and suffered some sticker shock. Meanwhile, Patrick Cahill politely approached, introduced himself & offered to answer any questions. I told him I was in exploratory mode & explained we were looking for a truck; the makes & models we were considering and Ford was my first stop. After walking the lot, I was about to leave. I asked Patrick for his card so I could be on my way. Patrick asked if I saw anything I liked. I told him I was experiencing some sticker shock but would round back to him after we looked at some other dealerships. Pat pointed to a super clean, low miles Ford Certified Pre-Ownd 2017 F-250 saying it just came on the lot from a regular customer. Amazingly, it checked all our boxes and offered at a fraction of the cost of a new. I told him I'd return with my wife. Pat advised me there were two others interested and planned to come back the following afternoon. So I made a 10AM appointment. Long story short, we came back, drove it, took it to our mechanic who assured us it was a great find. Their asking price was more than fair, below Kelly Blue Book and came with a warranty to boot. This is a long overdue review, and for that, I apologize! I want to start this by giving a HUGE shout-out to Will in the service department at Walnut Creek Ford. I have been taking my cars to car dealerships / mechanics / lube shops for almost 30 years and in all that time, I have only met a couple of people like Will. He is truly a special person who makes you feel like family every time he sees you. It's hard to narrow down a time that Will has been really great because "Exceptional" is sort of his default setting but let me tell you all about the most recent thing that happened. So of course, we are early adopters for the Mach-E and with that, of course, is the realization that every new technology will have its ups and downs, and we've had our fair share of weird gremlins. Even with all those faults we still love our Mach-E and fight over who gets to drive it every day. It's a really fun, powerful car to drive, even without the V8. :) A couple weeks ago, our Mach-E's "1 Pedal Drive" stopped working. An error code blinked on the IPS, and suddenly, the car wouldn't brake itself anymore. Thankfully, I was able to take over manual control of the brakes and stop our car, but that was quite a shock. My first call was to Will, wondering if this is a known issue. He said to bring in the car right away, I was down with driving for the day, and so the next morning, I did just that, without 1PD on. Very expeditiously, upon arrival at WCF Service, Will got the Mach-E checked in and got me a ride back home. The goal was to determine if this issue makes the car a death trap or can it be worked around, and if so, figure out next steps. Lo and behold, later that day, the word came down... Indeed, the car needs a secondary diagnostic onboard module (mouthful!). Well I needed a car... Now, renting a car outside of an insurance claim is always a gamble, but Will did his best, going VERY far out of his way, on MORE than one occasion, to make the process of me renting a car and then getting it reimbursed as smooth as possible. Always remembering that dealerships are sort of disconnected from "Big Ford" - they're like franchises, with the name on the wall but not much more consolation from "Big Ford" - they have to take a lot of reimbursements / assistance on the chin at the bottom line. Will got me approved for a rental period while the car was down at their shop among other things while being personally communicative with me. It is so frustrating to have a relatively new car, still under warranty, still with a fairly expensive "ask" every month like the YIKES! registration and insurance, and not be able to drive the car. A couple days in, Will called to say that Ford is aware of this 1PD issue now, and that the cars are safe enough to drive, as long as you keep 1PD off is probably the best bet. I have been a bit of a thorn in his side for this journey, and I really wanted to take this time out, and say to the world and hopefully his supervisors, how much I truly appreciate his constant can-do attitude. I don't think "no" is in his vocabulary, he always tries to make things work. It's hard to pin down just one or two things that make a person's customer service truly special. But I've got one for you all. Here's one final, shining superlative example, of Will's commitment to always finding a win-win. It was about 11:15 AM on the morning that we were going to pick up the Mach-E. My wife had an appointment at 12:30 PM, so a shuttle, which was going to take 1.5-2 hours, was just not going to cut it. Will told us not to worry. I wondered if he was going to summon a mythical flying carpet to fly her to the dealership. Will called back and said that he got a Lyft authorized to pick up my wife and bring her to the dealership with zero expense to us. Wow, I've never heard of such a thing, to me that really was amazing. The story ended quite happily, my wife got the car back and made it to her appointment that took months to schedule, and while we are still waiting for the SOBDMC(I think thats what the acronym is) to arrive, our Mango is back to us, and driving just fine with 1PD disabled. We get out entire family of vehicles serviced at WCF, and when it comes time to upgrade our Flex to the next SUV for our family, it will be from WCF. I hope Will can be recognized for his attention to detail, his willingness to ALWAYS find a way to get a win-win, and for being an absolutely outstanding brand ambassador.
