Outstanding repair shop worth the drive even if you don't live nearby. Small enough that your not just a number but large enough that they have all the experience and tools and knowledge to do things right. I'm not all that impressed with new cars these days. Direct injection, turbo and CVT transmissions - I've had already two of these new modern cars and I've been looking back to older cars and appreciating them more and more. If you do have an older car the thing you do need is a trusted mechanic to make sure things are going ok. There are designated mechanics for both German and Asian cars - and each mechanic knows both very well. I like both types - I personally think a 4 cylinder Honda makes sense as a grocery getter and a larger German car is perfect for long road trips. Vince recently looked over my Mercedes before a lone road trip to Seattle and it is mostly up to date with a few things left for the future as they weren't urgent. Michael is great at informing everything that goes on and what the mechanic sees and tells you about things to keep an eye on for the future. I remember every individual piece of work they break down just in case you don't want to do everything and are on a budget. If you have a CDI, TDI, bluetec, x5d, 335d, 328d or similar Vince is the guy you want to see. read more

I took delivery of a 2021 VW Tiguan R-Line w/ 63,000 miles from Carvana & wanted to get the "pre-delivery" inspection done before the 7 day period from Carvana. They did a full inspection of the car & listed everything that needed attention & a list of what's to come down the line. I ended up needing a new battery, which the current one was nearing end of life. I had the work done considering all the electronics in the car. I've owned german cars for the most part the past 10 years & I'm super particular w/ the shops my vehicles go through, these guys know their stuff & the value is worth it! Auto Diag is hands down the best mechanic auto shop I've ever been a customer of. Fahim, Azizi, Mohammed and Brandon are some of the most professional, courteous, and friendly guys out there. I've taken in three of my cars for service here, two of which had major oil leaks, and the guys here have been nothing short of incredible in their quality of work, attention to detail, explanations of the diagnosis, how they will fix the issue, and how to extend the longevity of the vehicle given the situation. They have been extremely fair about the pricing and have even found ways to help save me money given the rather labor intensive work they've needed to do for my cars. They are extremely honest and trustworthy, and will do everything in their power to get your car back on the road with the issues fully resolved in as reasonably short time as possible. You can rest assured that they will make the fix the right way, no matter the hours necessary to do it. I've had the front and top of two engines taken out for repairs, rear differential and transfer case gaskets replaced, and routine maintenance work done there, and for every repair, I have not had to go back to re-fix the same issue. I was interested in buying a 2014 Audi RS5 with 22,222 miles on it. While searching for a reputable shop to do a PPI, I found B & N Foreign Car services and got in contact with Vince. He is very knowledgable about Foreign cars and did a extensive PPI on the RS5 with a 10 page report on the car. The car came out clean. He told me the battery will need to be replaced soon and some fluids need to be topped off. Fast forward to Friday of that week and I purchased the car and am very happy I did. I found Victor here and after talking to him he could take me the same day. And he was only going to charge me $20 + cost of bulb. I'm so happy I found this auto shop. I have been sending my ailing Mercedes S500 to Vince and his stalwart companion for over 6 years now and I had a panic attack when first found out that the shop had moved. After finding the address however, I feel lucky because I recently moved to Dublin so the drive to their new location in Walnut Creek wasn't too bad. Vince is well known in the Hayward/Castro Valley/San Leandro area for his expertise with MBZ' s - his old location was there years. I am a strong DIY mechanic so I only bring my car in when I absolutely have too - like when a Star diagnosis or computer reset needs to be done. Vince has consistently, on every repair saved me at least 50% of what the dealer would charge, granted I am around some unscrupulous dealers and my repairs are not simple ones. I just had my airmatic shock+lower control+tie rod replaced a few weeks ago at the new shop and i won't even quote what the dealer and an Indy shop in Dublin was going to charge me. Navigating to the new shop is easy from the 680 and like the old one, its meticulously clean, organized and busy - so call ahead for an appointment as I predict Vince is going to be meeting a lot more MBZ owners in Walnut Creek. read more
