Their pricing is amazing, customer service is awesome and they are very efficient at what they do. They are very clear about the problems the car is facing and are extremely patient answering any questions I have and I've noticed other interactions with customers and they treat everyone amazing. They have consistently saved me hundreds of dollars compared to the Toyota dealership pricing. And on top of all of that they joke around and like to have conversations which just makes the waiting experience 10X better. I'll forever be taking my car from here on out. Had an issue with our ABS brakes on our Camry. We took the car to another shop. They couldn't help me figure it out. I was referred to Five Star from the Matco tool guy I met who was visiting that shop. I called Brian and he took excellent care of us. He was honest and went over the top to help diagnose the problem and make us feel comfortable. On another note, I asked about the 60k mile service on my Tacoma, he quoted me a nominal fee. The dealer quoted me $2950 for a service that consisted of mainly inspection of items. The experience has been fabulous. i called into this business this morning and was threatened ! . i called into the shop trying to price parts and labor being new to the city for a issue with my car. i have had a full inspection with the dealer but with wanting $300 per hr for labor i wanted to shop around . i called into asking about a certain part . BRIAN ask what car i simply said the brand not model was told he doesn't do low balling work and hung up in my face. I called back informing i had an inspection and the paper work . i also told him i just wanted to price my options . he said if i was looking for cheap fix i was wasting his time and mine by being a dumb ass . i told he was very rude for handing up in my face . A friend recommended Five Star saying she had been taking her car there for over 10 years. I had recently become disgusted with the dealership service department I had used for years, so when they said my rear brakes needed replacing, I decided to go to Five Star for the service instead. I was fully prepared to pay for the repair, but instead the mechanic said that my brakes were not as bad as the dealership claimed (which made sense since I had not noticed any problems braking.) So I will be coming back to Five Star next time I need an oil change, and I'll have the brakes replaced then, when they will ACTUALLY need it. I normally would not do a review like this but my experience with Brian and Five Star was so incredible I just wanted to share it for other people looking for a trustworthy place to take their car for repair. My Honda had an intermittent problem where it would lurch and I was wary about driving it. I'm always a bit nervous about taking my car to a mechanic because they could easily run up the bill and take advantage of my mechanical ignorance. When I dropped off my car and met Brian, I knew this wouldn't happen with him. I asked him what the diagnosis fee would be and he indicated they did not have an automatic fee like other mechanics. They test drove my car, did a computer test on it but because nothing really happened or showed up, they didn't charge me. I offered to pay for their time anyway because they did try to find the elusive problem but Brian refused. So when is the last time a shop did work for you and didn't charge anything and refused anything in return? I bet that would be a first for you too!!! I brought my Chrysler T&C to the shop at 8:00 am Friday 8/30/24 the day before the Labor Day weekend to replace an alternator and drive belt. I could see from the service tickets on the desk they were still as popular as ever. With the three day Labor Day weekend coming up the next day I expected to be without a car for at least a week. At 2:13 pm the same day Brian called to tell me the repair was done. He also deducted a discount for setting up the appointment on -line. June 08 2020 I don't like taking my vehicle to shops to have work done. They too often damage a vehicle and say the damage was already there. They can be down right jerks. It was time to replace my timing belt, water pump, A/C belt, radiator cap, anti freeze, accessory belt and belt tensioner. My car is a 2003 SRT-4 with 82,000 miles on it. My car is in mint condition it does not even have swirl marks. Brian owns 5 Star Automotive and ask him to be careful with my car and he was. No damage was done to my car. A drive my car to his shop with a light layer of dust on it. When I picked up my car I could see it was not touched any where in the body work. I am extremely happy with 5 Star Automotive!! Cost for the work $978.93 Some day I may need a clutch and will be very happy to go to Brian. Brian is a Dodge, Chrysler and Plymouth certified technician. read more

Came here for an oil change and realized there was a piece of plastic hanging down. Came back and they immediately directed the blame on my mother and I claiming we ran something over. First of all this itself was very offensive that he insulted us of by calling us bad drivers. So he an inspection and I decided to walk up to the car to take a look at the damage. Turns out the piece that is pushed up is EXACTLY the place they do the oil change. Hmmm... what a coincidence... They rudely spoke to me to get out of the garage like I wasn't allowed to see the damage on my own car? He continued to claim we ran over something and there is just no way the we ran over something that hard near where the front tires are. No way. Not coming back here again.
