These guys are great--I have been coming here for years! It's hard to find honest mechanics. Irfan and Vishav are always professional and take the time to explain what is wrong with your car without ever trying to push unnecessary repairs or up-sells. Vishav has always gone above and beyond for us--Before we head out on any long road trips, he always takes the time to check the oil and other fluids and makes sure everything is topped off so we're ready to go. It gives me huge peace of mind. If you need a reliable shop in Concord, Clayton Auto Service is the best. read more

I had a fantastic experience bringing my Audi to Irfan and the team at Clayton Auto Service. I was worried about passing my smog inspection because of a check engine light, and Irfan took the time to thoroughly explain the issue and gave me honest, straightforward recommendations on the best way to fix it. I never felt pressured into unnecessary repairs. Their pricing was significantly better than the dealership, the quality of the work was excellent, and they had my car repaired with a quick turnaround. It's refreshing to find an auto shop that's knowledgeable, trustworthy, and truly puts the customer first. Clayton Auto Service has earned my business, and I'll definitely be returning for future maintenance, tune-ups, and any repairs my car needs. I highly recommend Irfan and his team to anyone looking for honest, reliable, and fairly priced automotive service. read more

Irfan is a wonderful man. He was honest, polite and very interactive. He explained what was going on and they topped off my fluids and even put gas in my car. I was totally relieved I had gone to na honest place. We had a good chat and I didn't feel like I was treated like a customer, but more like a friend. I was scared because sometimes when you go commercial auto places, you never know what to expect, but the outcome was wonderful and now he is my "go to" place! Thanks guys!!!!! They have a customer for life in me. read more

I brought my car in at the end of the day after work. I asked them to check the tire pressure because I feared one of them might have a leak. They immediately checked the pressure for me no charge. Two weeks later my tire started looking low on air. I brought it back and they were able to do a quick check and discovered a nail. They repaired the tire then and there and I was out of there within a half hour! During my short wait I had a nice chat with the owner. I'll be back for sure! read more

We took our older model Toyota truck for a transmission that ended up failing, so it was replaced by them a second time. We're are now only a couple of months from the second replacement and need, yet ANOTHER, as this one has failed as well. They don't buy transmissions with warranties on labor, so we paid about $2000 labor costs for EACH replacement, on top of the cost of the first tranny. Never again. We will never take another vehicle there. It was recommended by AAA, so we took their recommendation over our regular mechanic. Biggest mistake ever. Very hard lesson learned. I was suspicious of the integrity of this shop when I heard the owner bad mouthing a customer who had just left, but then acted overly friendly with me. That left a bad taste in my mouth. I didn't care for that one bit. From that moment on, I didn't trust him. Never talk about customers in front of, or to, other customers. Very bad business practice, especially since those customers, whether you like them or not, are supporting your life style and everyone in that shop with their business. Show some class and respect, but especially some gratitude. read more

I recently had my vehicle towed to CAS in the middle of the night after an anti-theft device in my steering column faulted and would not allow it to start. Long story short, the repair process was difficult and convoluted due to the shop having to coordinate with a regulatory entity. The car was also dumped directly in front of their front door and could not be moved because the electric parking break couldn't be disengaged until the repair was completed. Not only was Irfan, Vishav, and their team immensely responsive, helpful, and understanding, but they went the extra mile and assisted me in cutting through the red tape of a maintenance warranty I have on my vehicle to save me some money. They DID NOT have to do so, especially considering that it was a massive headache on top of the already difficult repair process. I will not be taking my vehicle anywhere but Clayton as long as I live in the area. These guys seriously went above and beyond to get me and my vehicle sorted. read more

Last Saturday my drivers side window switch without any warning decided to stop working while the window was down. I was desperate since it was getting late and the Honda dealer let me down with a sales person telling me there was no one at service even though the website showed there was 20 minutes left to closing. I had googled the part but none of the few open auto parts stores had in stock. I continued to Google shops and came upon Clayton Auto Service. Even though they were getting ready to close they assured me they would wait and attempt to at least get the window closed. I was so relieved to find them there when I arrived around 10 minutes after closing time. It took their technician whose name I didn't catch no time to take the door panel off and get the window to close. The rest is history. They ordered the part, I returned to have them install it along with unrelated replacement tire sensors. I cannot say enough good things about this shop whose customer service and technical knowledge are outstanding. Their prices also seem reasonable. I was grateful for their response since I really needed help. Thank you Clayton Auto Service. read more

Clayton Auto Service was there in the nick of time. My tire was leaking air while I was visiting family in a rental car. I was driving back the next day when I discovered the issue the evening before, and all other shops were already closed. I called within the final 30 minutes before they closed, and the owner told me to come in. I brought it in, and they finished in 10 minutes. The price was reasonable too. During my wait, the owner struck up a conversation and was very friendly. read more

Awesome repair shop. Got dropped off here by AAA, and from the reviews I'm relieved that they are dependable. Car won't start so its likely the battery or starter. Shop was honest and confirmed I needed a new battery after a quick diagnosis. Was out and about the same day. read more

I have had few of my cars serviced there. Always returned with exceptional service and problem solved. I can't say enough good things about this shop. I came in stressed and in a rush, and Irfran went way above and beyond to help me out. He took the time to thoroughly smog my vehicle and helped me track down the exact part I needed to replace even printed it out so I didn't order the incorrect part and offered to order it for me if needed and this was right before a holiday weekend in the evening, when he honestly didn't have to do any of that. His patience, knowledge, and willingness to help really stood out. On top of that, their prices are very reasonable and the service is friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back. read more

I've got two cars that seem to like this shop every three months or so. My truck (which is a 2004 Avalanche) has well over 200k miles. I use this for my work truck and often need quick fixes. The most recent was an alternator where Irfan saw me coming, ordered the parts within minutes and had me out of there in a couple hours. There's another thing I really like about this shop is irfan is straight up and honest with me. He's seen me enough over the past couple years that he knows everything inside and out about my cars. That's exactly what I want in an auto shop, I also like the fact that they do smog here. I used to stress about taking my cars to different auto shops, not anymore. I found my place!! I 1000% recommend Clayton Auto Service, they are truly the best around. Thank you Irfan and Team!! -Joe read more

I've been coming to Clayton auto for many years. Oil change, tuneups, smog, brakes and just stopping in to say hello when I get my car washed next-door. There's a real sense of community here. All the customers seams like regulars. Delivery drivers use the restroom. While waiting for my car, I noticed other local shop guys will come in/call asking for assistance like parts or just advice and Vishav always lends a hand. He can juggle several customers at once and make us all feel important. read more

I called Clayton Auto Service at 6pm on a Saturday evening, explaining that I was a long distance from home for a football tournament and just found a nail and pretty bad leak in my tire. Been here a few times and each time I've been happy with the service and work done. I have an old car that requires parts that are hard to find sometimes but they come through in a reasonable amount of time. Their work is exceptional and the staff is very friendly. 5* service but you are paying for it. For major stuff you will not find a place that is more transparent. They give good quality work and recommendations. They do not try and nickel and dime you for unnecessary work, or work you can push off for longer. Or work that might not be worth it to you if your car is in bad condition. Anything major I would go here every single time. For something like an oil change you can probably get better value elsewhere. I wouldn't quite call this a value per say. For minor work you can get it done elsewhere for a better price. Maybe if I did go here for oil changes by car never would have gotten into bad shape. Irfan and his team are professional and A+. You will not find a more straight up mechanic in the area. I love honesty and transparency as a customer. read more
