I have to say I was very disappointed with this location. It was my first time there but not my first time with Jiffy Lube. I arrived there around 11:20. They have three bays which were in use, with one car behind one of the bays. So two on-deck spots. When I spoke to the attendant, he seemed nice, however I was quoted about $180 for a synthetic oil change and changing my cabin filter. The cabin filter they said cost $60. On the itemized receipt it indeed says $60. However when I look up how much they cost, you can buy one for $12. I understand that they need to make a profit, but considering they buy in bulk and probably get each filter for less than $5, a markup like that is absolutely obscene. And $120 for an oil change as well is just way beyond what it should be. My uncle goes there often and told me he has never paid that much. And the wait time- ironically their website says "15 minutes", which obviously isn't always possible depending on demand, but I was there for two hours. TWO HOURS. With my car on deck. It's not like there was a huge line. Something just doesn't seem right. I really think they are doing something shady and over charging people they think won't notice. I tried to ask the clerk that cashed me out and he didn't really have a straight answer for me. I don't like leaving bad reviews and rarely do, but this was bad enough for me to actually say something. Super fast and convenient. I called on my lunch break while driving past assisted by Takota. Phone customer service was excellent and in person Takota and Ryan exceeded all my expectations. The part for my vehicle was in stock and they were able to change my oil very quickly. The price is also comparable to where I would go anywhere else. Later, I found the cabin air filter cover lying on the floorboard of my car--apparently removed during the inspection and never reinstalled. If you use this shop, double-check your car afterward. BE WARNED. THEY'LL TRY TO UPCHARGE YOU AND HIDE IT. It's really frustrating how this jiffy lube is operated. I left a 1 star review about 6 months ago and found another shop to take my cars to. Unfortunately I needed to get an oil change on my mother in laws car and needed it done asap so I thought what the hell. I've been coming to jiffy lube for 15 years. Might as well give them another shot. I know their tricks and how they'll try to upsell you on things every chance they get. Half the time I go with their advice because I'm happy with the higher mileage oil. My mother in law doesn't drive her car, she's disabled and really the only point in her still keeping it is in the rare chance her neighbor takes her somewhere because she can't get into his truck. So I opted to get the standard oil change $56.99. When they bring me out to give me the quote they do their whole pitch of needing air filters and all that. I declined because despite their claims of them being bad they really aren't. The guy giving me the quote asks what type of oil I want and suggests off the bat I go with full synthetic. I said no, just want whatever the standard oil is. He said full synthetic is the standard oil. I explained I didn't want synthetic, just want the standard. He said ok, and then said my total was $100+. So I asked why there's a difference between the quote and the price of $56.99 the board inside. And he said oh that's for conventional oil. It's obvious that he was trying to up charge me without me realizing because I was saying "standard" rather than "conventional". He didn't even show me the options to confirm what I wanted when I was asking for something they don't have a specific name for. He made the decision on the next most expensive oil after I said I didn't want full synthetic. This builds absolutely zero trust for me and I'm already a bit rocky on the declining service I've been experiencing in the last few years. This service model is not designed to educate and do right by their clients. It's to take advantage of people who do not understand cars, and upsell them on services they do not need. Don't take your cars here. It's such a shame that this is the case with not just jiffy lube, but most mechanic shops. Find a place you trust, not just a place that is convenient. read more

Avoid going to this Jiffy Lube on Clayton Road in Concord. We drove in with the driver seat in a normal upright position. They returned the car with the driver seat in a fully reclined position and chair would not click into an upright position. No one brought it up to our attention and we had to flag someone down. For some reason, the manager sprayed WD-40 thinking it was going to help. She said the only reason they would have moved the seat was to vacuum the back (it's a 2-door car). Then she inferred that there was already something wrong with the chair. Then she said they would have to check the cameras to see if they even touched the seat. There was absolutely no accountability whatsoever by the person who vacuumed her car or by the store manager. The district manager did contact us and resolved the problem the next day. They changed my oil and forgot to put the cap back on. Had a service at the dealer couple days later and had to buy a new one. Got home looked to see if the cap was anywhere and it was between the radiator and battery. Oil cap pretty simple and necessary. read more

Horrible technicians. Brought car here for an oil change, any immediately the throttle sounded louder and it wasn't accelerating to get on the freeway like it did before. Next morning got in it did the same thing but worse. So I googled louder throttle after oil change. And the first thing that came up was that I misplaced filter can cause that issue. So I open my hood and lo and behold they didn't secure the top to where the air filter went. So not only did I have to figure out what the problem was but fix it myself after I paid them $100 to do my oil change. Called about it today spoke to the manager he didn't even ask what car it was that this happened to so he could talk to the mechanic that did it. He was just like you know mistakes happen everybody does them even the best mechanics. I will never ever bring my car here I will never ever recommend this place if I could give them minus five stars I would just for the way they handled my phone call alone. I am so mad ! They lied to my mother that is 76 years old. They told her they could fix her air conditioner n if they couldn't they would only charge her $60 to check to make sure they could fix it . This review will reflect my vehicle inspection experience only.* After dealing with the nightmare that is *cough*WHEELWORKS WALNUT CREEK*cough*, I called Jiffy Lube to see if they could perform a vehicle safety inspection on my car. The gentleman on the phone said that I could stop by at any time. I arrived around 6:00 on a Saturday evening, and pulled up to the designated area. They seemed quite busy, but they quoted me an accurate wait time. They actually inspected my vehicle way faster than the time that they quoted me, and I was able to watch them perform the service the entire time. The price that I was quoted over the phone was the same exact price that I paid; no hidden fees of extra charges were added. The staff were very professional and all of them appeared to be working hard. The technician that performed the vehicle inspection on my car confirmed that everything looked great and was performing to normal standards. They were really easy to work with and very cordial and professional. I will definitely consider them again for car services in the future. read more

I've been coming here for the past two years for my oil changes. My recent oil change was especially quick. I arrived at 6:45, 15 minutes before their closing. They got me in, took my info, refilled my fluids, put in my new synthetic blend oil and I was out the door at 6:58 pm. They showed me my air filter (partly dirty but no need for replacement) but I don't pay for filters. I buy my own air and cabin filters at AutoZone for a cheaper price and change them myself when needed. I usually don't do the other services here, though they did tell me that my brake fluid was low (they don't top off brake fluid). I service my SUV at Discount Tire on Monument because I trust the owner. read more

We were overdue for an oil change so went on Easter weekend when there was no line. First of all, the charge was $89 for a basic oil change and windshield wiper fluid. $89. I've never paid more than $50. They claimed they were out of regular oil and only had premium. Then an hour later as we got on the highway, we hear a sound like someone is rattling a tin can underneath the car. We get out and the entire metal plate between the two tires is hanging down and busted as if they didn't finish the oil change and put everything back normally. I usually get my oil changed at Concord Chevy. But this last time I went to Jiffy Lube to get it done. They stripped my oil plug as well as the threads in my oil pan. They put some kind of helicoil wrap on the bolt, and forced it into my oil pan. They didn't tell me a thing about it. I found out when I went back to Concord Chevy. The repair is to replace the oil pan. It's an 18.5 hour job; and $5,000.00 is the estimate for repair. It's a 4 Wheel Drive. On top of all that. They are refusing to pay for their destruction to my vehicle. I'm going to take them to court over this. Don't ever go to this place. They are horrible!!! read more

Have been going here for years but this time when I went in for a simple oil change, I was told that my brakes were shot and they needed to be replaced. I declined and the rep said "it is dangerous to have brakes this bad, you need to get them replaced right now". I again declined and took my car down the street to Big O Tires. They inspected my brakes free of charge and said I didn't need brakes at all, they were nearly new. Their practice of recommending unnecessary repairs is unethical and possibly illegal. I contacted their corporate office and am waiting for my case to be investigated. Absolutely terrible. If you like to have broken down cars get your oil changed here!! We had zero problems with our vehicle before getting the oils changed here. About 2,000 miles after the oil change our car had zero oil in it, refilled it and it went through that oil so quickly it was insane. We called to complain and they came out to look at our car, said it was not their problem. So I asked if it was just a coincidence that our car started to have issues after having them change the oil, he said no. I said okay so it is your fault then. The guy said no again. So I asked if it isn't your company's fault and it isn't a coincidence what is it? He said "it's just what happens with high mileage cars" our car is a Toyota Highlander with 130,000 miles on it. That really isn't that high. About a month later the car had issues so we took it somewhere else. They did a few repairs, and a proper oil change and so far the vehicle is running great again. If you charge upwards of $80 for an oil change you'd think you'd be able to do it properly. Car owners beware!!! I also like the fact that you can pull right out of this business and right into the car wash next door. Would be extra great if these two businesses could somehow network a one drop off system. You could go eat lunch and come back an hour later with fresh oil and a slick looking ride. Beware of false recommendations and to anyone that isn't familiar with car parts. A second mechanic stated my breaks were in good condition and could go to Las Vegas and to Texas and return to CA without problems. Don't trust them. There should be an option to give this place zero stars.. yes it's that bad. This is my second time coming here and man I should have learned the first. Both times I was the next car in line to be serviced and both times told about a half hour... well here I am at an hour and 15 minutes while all the other cars are cleared out and there are 5 techs standing around doing relatively nothing while one is just starting to drain my oil. It's been in the shop for about 40 while they haven't even pulled the damn drain plug... this place is awful, I usually go to the jiffy lube on concord avenue where you don't even get out of your car and it's always done in 30 minutes or less no matter how busy they are. Unfortunately this one was on my way this time, lesson completely learned this time. Do yourself a favor and go to the other one, this one has to be incredibly poorly run. read more
