Customer service is outstanding and no price gouging. I had no appointment and they took me right away. Ended up having a minor problem of a bolt disconnecting my fuel pump cover. They replaced the bolt and didn't even charge me. So I brought them some senorita bread. I've also had some brake work done here. Cost me so much less then if I would have taken it anywhere else. Called and talked to Cesar. Got an appointment for a smog check instantly. He confirmed on the phone whether I needed a STAR smog check or stand smog check. This would have saved me time if I needed a STAR smog check.He promised I would be in and out in 30 mins. It was more like 15 mins. They were super fast, friendly and knowledgeable. read more

Came in without an appointment, was greeted by the tech who told me they were busy today but let's see what is wrong. The problem was a bad pulley causing a squeak. Told me that he could work on it if I was willing to leave it there for the day. They were able to get me in and out under 4hours and about $200 less than Firestone. Price felt fair for the job the customer service was great. This was my first step in finding a shop close to home. I usually maintain my vehicles on my own and take my bigger jobs to my reg mechanic in SJ. Wanted someone closer and his price was $25 more than my regular mechanic quote. Gotta say not bad for 1st time at the shop. I will be back hopefully no time soon. read more

I scheduled a time to stop by and have my car looked at all on the app. When I got there I was promptly helped and my car was checked out. Worst experience , i took my vehicle twice the first time didn't get anything fixed my car was returned the same with the engine light on, the last time i took it they kept it all day for them to call back and tell me they weren't going to check my car to find some where else to take it. After reading the other reviews for Espinoza Auto experts, after my car stopped starting, I gave them a call here. They were quick to respond and were willing to see me that day, though my car would need to be with them for a little while, and Id need to make other arrangements. I got my car started and made my way over. Spoke with Gustavo and another fine gent who I did not get the name of. He made sure I had a ride, and the said, "hold on a sec, I'll check it now, and we'll see if you even need to." Turns out, just a bad battery. Gustavo actually listened to me about how I'd treated the battery, and we found that yes, it may test normal, because I used a trickle charger, so it got a nice surface charge, and it passed, but he tested it again... and nope! We also chatted a bit about life as he got my paperwork completed, and it's so refreshing to have a mechanic be so personable as well! Turns out it wasn't my alternator, just a bad battery. And then I was out the door! The friendliness, honesty, and service will have me making this shop my local mechanic for here on out! read more

I meet Gustavo several years ago when I brought my son's car there for a smog. I immediately felt at home. He is a honest, welcoming guy and shop owner. He has helped me several times a year with small things like free diagnostics on my diesel truck he never charges me, I have to leave or sneak money into his pocket. This is one of the few shops in the area that are true and honest. He doesn't do major repairs, but can do a lot of the small things. I live about 15 miles away, but will only bring my vehicles to him for smog and minor repairs. Great guy and great honest shop.. read more

So I went here because of the good reviews... I was hoping to find a place where I as a woman would not be taken advantage of due to my lack of knowledge and understanding of vehicles. I came here because I was having what I thought was issues with my brakes. So I leave my car here and after a few hours, I get a call back saying that there's no issue with my brakes but that there are some parts that could use a little cleaning and that that would take care of any of the noise that I was hearing. I asked how much it would be for them to clean that and they said it would be 120. So I go pick up my car and it's not making noise for about five hours at the most. And then it starts squeaking all over again as if they did nothing. So I basically was charged $120 for them to tell me that they fix something that they didn't. When I called to see about getting it fixed again, the person just seemed annoyed and not very helpful. I didn't want to get charged another $120 for them to do nothing so I'm just leaving it as is for now. read more

I came here for just an oil change, its a little on the pricier side, like 45 bucks or so, but I do believe in "you pay for what you get". You go somewhere and get a cheap oil change for 20 bucks, that's what you get! I'd rather pay a couple bucks more to have something done the proper way and check other fluids in my car than save some money on a cheap oil change. If I really wanted to save money I'd do it myself! Gustavo is like a friend that I havent seen in years, although I've never met him. Very personable, and seems like a hard working & honest person. You know that gut feeling when you know something is right? That's the gut feeling I got from coming here. I'll be sticking by this auto shop until I feel something is not right anymore. These guys are great! I contacted them about getting a smog check and was told I could come right in. In the few minutes I was there, one guy came in requesting an oil change--they started on it immediately; Another guy came in because his car was having trouble starting--instead of just making the money by doing the diagnostic work, Gustavo told the car owner he should contact the dealer and get it paid for through his warranty; and I had a very pleasant conversation with one of Gustavo's daughters. And I was only there for about 20 minutes! This organization is just what it appears to be--a family-owned, HONEST business. They were even one of the very least expensive places I checked into.
