I am impressed! I brought my 2012 Mazda 6 here for a transmission fluid service. Javier has a lot of experience with Mazdas so he quoted me a premium German transmission fluid that works with my car (most generic fluids do not!). The result is my 14 year old car with 250,000 miles on it shifts the best it has in years. The shifts are fast and smooth. On top of the fluid service, these guys did the best inspection that I have had a shop do on my car in years. They had some accurate recommendations and provided tranparent pricing for the additional services. No hard sells or anything like that. Good : 1. The owner Mike was kind enough to give a 20% off for labor repairing a transmission sensor 2. Open early around 830am and no need for appointments 3. They have snacks and water in the waiting area Needs improvement: 1. The shop charged me $193 for a $145 sensor part from the dealer. 2. The shop charges extra 2.5% for use of credit cards 3. Diagnostic fees was not credited to the repair fee. Javier, service advisor, did tell me this before hand. 4. The shop charged me 1.5 hrs labor for about 30 minute job. Clean place and reliable bc as a lady I know nothing about cars and if anything wrong they show you a picture of it and you can come back if you want to fix it after telling my husband. I like the fact they tell you and not pushy to make you feel like you have to do right there and then like other places I went to. I had a disappointing experience at King Auto Care in Antioch. They took longer than promised to complete the service and falsely claimed my car had a leak when it didn't. I always get my car serviced at Honda, so I knew their claim wasn't true. Feels like they were trying to upsell unnecessary repairs. Mike (the owner) is a great mechanic who I'm going to start going to from now on. His labor rates are reasonably priced and he doesn't upsell you on anything that doesn't need doing. It's tough to find an honest scrappy mechanic who will take on bigger jobs and doesn't charge dealer prices. He also uses OEM parts when available to fix the issue, which is a huge plus! I took my car a few weeks ago for an oil change and they found that my engine oil housing unit was leaking. Which they replaced. Owner was extremely nice and very fairly priced. Turned my oil pressure switch is also not working which I finally found out from the dealership but it took the dealer twice before they could figure it out.
