I gave him everything I bought with me and he made copies. Then he asked for proof of residency and holy hell, I forgot! Luckily he told me I can come back but just have to take another number. I said okay and decided to go home then come back with the proper paperwork. But I realized I have my car insurance in the car and I forgot my son's SSC so I went back. Thankfully, he had the card and told me the insurance would work as proof of residency. So within a few minutes, he finished everything up for us and my son headed to take his photo and his written test. The woman at the counter was nice and friendly. She let him sign his signature twice because he messed up. But anyways, my son passed and the visit/experience went great! No complaints.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the customer service we received. When we approached the window, there was no greeting or acknowledgment. I provided the requested documents, and they were returned to me while I was asked for my son's identification and proof that he had completed the required online driver education course. I also asked whether documentation showing that I have sole custody of my son was needed, and I was told that it was not necessary. While I understand that DMV staff handle many customers throughout the day, I believe every customer should be treated with professionalism, courtesy, and clear communication. The interaction felt very impersonal, and there was little communication or assistance throughout the process. I hope this feedback can be used as an opportunity to improve the customer service experience for families visiting the DMV.

At first, I was a bit irritated because when I made the appointment, the gentleman (who I made the appointment with last time) didn't tell me I needed a specific documents and what I had on hand, he said it would be fine. But thankfully, Rafael was nice enough to explain what I needed and if I come back to him, then he would try to squeeze me in. And I told him, I'm going to go home right now and come back within 20 minutes. When I got back the security officer, Corbin was really chill and friendly. I can tell by his aura that he's a cool dude and I'm glad he's working there because I think he brings happiness in that environment with his vibe. Anyways, Raphaël saw me & signaled me to go to the window. I gave him everything I found that he asked for, and the process went smoothly. I really appreciate him because he turned my irritation into satisfaction. I'm glad I handled business because now I don't have to worry about it. And for those that go stand in line in the morning, very early to get a ticket, you don't have to do that anymore because there's a QR code on the front door where you scan with your phone and your automatic in the queue. All you have to do when they open: you scan the barcode and you get your ticket, real simple and easy. Anyways, this location was chill and the workers were cool. Whether my vehicle passed or failed is one thing, but the way this was handled was unprofessional and left a very bad impression. I expected a straightforward, professional experience not confusion and attitude after I had already paid!! I understand mistakes happen. But when you can't even get the most basic analysis of a smog check right, it tells me a lot about how accurate the rest of your service may be. If you can't correctly determine whether a vehicle passed or failed, that's a serious problem. And seriously, the tech needs to fix his condescending attitude. Being wrong is one thing, but being condescending while giving out incorrect information makes the experience even worse. TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION!! Not even a mention of how long process can take.
