Today a plastic tarp got trapped under my Honda CRV and was making an alarmingly loud noise when I would go over 10mph. Fortunately, Concord Honda was able to see me at 5pm (2 hours after the incident occurred). Mark Zabat was my assigned advisor and made sure I was well-informed on the best and worst case scenarios. He let me know he would do his best to get my vehicle ready today, but could not make any guarantees. I really appreciated his transparency and great customer service. I got lucky and they were able to remove the tarp and determine no serious damage was done to my vehicle. By 6pm I was out the door and very happy with the efficient service! This honda has never disappointed me and they always delivered on the services I asked to have done on my car. The only major criticism I have is how long it takes for the service to be done as it could take up to 2-3 hours no matter what it is. Another problem I had one time was when I got a new battery for my car from them, and 4 months later my car began having more problems again. Either a defective battery or something else. But this honda is still in a nice location and it has a beautiful show room. This is a good honda to go to for service work and has a good wait room too to burn off time. read more

I have bought two vehicles from Honda of Concord and previously left a 5-star review for their service. However, my most recent experience was a masterclass in service negligence and gaslighting. My splash shield fasteners were found to be failing, and the staff spent an hour trying to convince me it was 'impact damage.' The physical evidence said otherwise: the metal shield was concave-out and the plastic was concave-in--a textbook sign of a bolt being over-torqued from the inside, not a hit from the outside. There were no impact marks on the bolt heads or the shield. The 'smoking gun' happened when the staff took me to another vehicle to prove their point; the technician had to use an impact gun just to remove the screws. This proved that they are habitually over-torquing these fasteners with power tools, causing them to strip and fail over time. While they eventually agreed to cover the repair, I had to argue basic physics against half the service staff to get them to take responsibility for damage caused during my previous services here. If you use this dealership, be aware that their technicians may be over-tightening your parts, and the service desk will try to blame you for the resulting failure. read more

First time bringing my Acura MDX to this dealership. Definitely will NOT return. Experiences/reason: 1) called service dept to schedule appt for an A1. She said, "great! We're running a special for $72." Got there, service adviser would not honor, said that's not their price for an A1. She was out to lunch when my vehicle was done, another adviser informed me the $72 was oil change only, but the A1 includes checking the brakes, hence, the price increase for labor. I clearly stated to the scheduler that my engine message just popped up "A1." Nonetheless, the first adviser should have known their different services/prices and explained. 2) I showed the second (check out) service adviser their website stating 20% of any service and free car washer during mid-week (Wednesday & Thursday). I was there on a Wednesday. He stated the $102 was a special promotion price and cannot apply additional discount. But no such wording/statement was listed on their web ads. He completely ignored the advertised free car wash. I did not "argue" the issue... good service should NOT be pulling teeth. 3) They recommended complete brake service, and quoted over $1K, and midweek special of $744. Upon checking their website, front brake service is $388, rear brake service is 308. That's under $700. I will NEVER return to this dealership, nor ever recommend them. I loath bait and switch business tactics. They definitely need to train their advisers to be honest and know their dealership's website advertised prices. Full disclosure: I typically go to Pleasanton Acura for service where I purchased my vehicle, but they"re going through some changes... so I thought I'd try Honda for a basic A1. I've been meaning to write this review and give props to a very kind, professional young man who helped me June 5th. I was on my way out of town for a day trip. I had my car ( Jeep Cherokee SUV) washed and detailed at a local Concord car wash the day before. The guy detailing it must have hit a button and my interior lights were on- fortunately my battery was not dead, but as I was driving towards 680 I noticed the inside lights weren't going off. I pulled into the Honda dealership because I was going to try and figure out what was going on. I pulled out the owner manual but could not get the lights to cut off. One of the mechanics who services Hondas, was outside and I went over to him and asked if he might know what I could do to cutoff the lights. He was very polite and offered to help me. He checked all the buttons and was able to find the button that was pushed to a max exposure. I did not get his name- but his manger needs to give this fine young man kudos for offering service to a person- without any hesitation. I did purchase a new Honda for my son from this dealership a few years ago and still get the car serviced there regularly. I hope that Honda of Concord can find this person and applaud him for going above and beyond helping someone. In a busy, stressful and often money obsessed world it was really nice to have this kind of experience with a friendly, professional young person. I'm sure your management could use this opportunity to show what good customer service to all people, not just those buying a Honda looks like- he was twenties, brown hair, glasses. My HR-V had a mandatory recall on the fuel pump, so I called my local Honda dealership but they kept giving me the run around. So I called the next closest dealer, which is location. They set up an appointment for me right away and ordered the part. When I arrived on Monday, Nicholas was truly a saint! Nick took care of me and said it would take 1 hour 45 minutes for the work to be completed. I was out of there in 1 hour 30 minutes! Review for Concord Parts/Services. We all know going to the dealership for service is going to have a premium price tag. That said, as a long time customer here, the prices have doubled for simple things like oil changes ie B1 service. It used to be $60 last time I was there, and I left paying $120. Additionally they add a 3% credit card fee if paying by credit card. I expect that from a small local business, but for Honda car services? That's a low and just goes to show you this ownership is trying to nickle and dime its customers on EVERYTHING. The service overall was nothing stellar and as expected. The reps are trained to upsell you, but if you have kind ones like mine they'll tell you what is necessary vs what their company is trying to upsell to you. Concord Honda is PATHETIC - Do NOT Waste Your Money Here!!!! I am beyond frustrated and honestly feel completely disrespected by the service department at Concord Honda. Please, do yourself a favor and DO NOT take your car there unless you want to be ripped off. I brought my 2022 Honda Civic in because it was misfiring on the freeway. That's it. A misfire. I was told it would take a couple of hours to diagnose, so I took their shuttle back to work and rearranged my entire day around their timeline. After 2.5 hours, I took the shuttle back to the dealership expecting answers. Instead, my service advisor, Ashley, met me with a "concerned" face and said they hadn't done anything to the car because it was "something major." Then she handed me an estimate for a FULL TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT for $10,000. $10,000. Without even performing proper diagnostic tests. So what exactly was happening to my car for over two hours? Why wasn't I called? Why did I have to show up in person to be told they did nothing but somehow concluded I needed a new transmission? That makes absolutely no sense. It felt like they were just throwing out a massive repair bill hoping I would blindly approve it. I took the estimate and walked out. I then went to Fairfield Honda. Completely different experience. I paid for an actual diagnostic test. The technician even took the time to drive the car WITH ME so I could explain and show what I was experiencing. That's called real customer service. About 1.5 hours later, they found the real issue: one cracked spark plug that caused a coil failure. They replaced the spark plug, replaced the coils, changed the transmission fluid, checked for metal fragments, and made sure everything was safe. Total cost? $480. Not $10,000. This is exactly why people lose trust in dealerships. Concord Honda either doesn't know how to properly diagnose vehicles or they are trying to upsell massive repairs that are completely unnecessary. Either way, it's unacceptable. If you value your time, your money, and honest service, stay far away from Concord Honda. Get a second opinion before agreeing to anything they tell you. Don't let them scare you into paying for repairs your car doesn't need. Absolutely terrible experience. Never going back!! read more

I purchased my Honda 2024 AWD CRV Sport L Hybrid. I did some shopping and comparing around the bay and this location had the color I wanted. I probably looked for a couple of weeks and had Carolina's number and she helped start the process. Annamarie closed me out but the process didn't take too long and same with financing. I didn't feel like they were too pushy. Fast forward to having my car for over year and I had 2 complimentary maintenance checks. I waited for the wrench to pop up and easily just scheduled my appointments via the Honda App. Super easy and convenient. The tech that helped me was great and honest and I even got to pay through my phone and see everything going on with videos. I opted to wait in the waiting area and work remotely. They have desk areas, outlets, and a coffee and drink station. Well air conditioned, clean bathrooms and also not too far from areas. There's a 10 mile radius shuttle system too. read more

After conducting considerable online research, my wife and I decided to purchase our second new Honda vehicle from Concord Honda. Our last new Honda was a 2005 Pilot, which we owned for 20 years. Our salesperson was Chandler Phelps, Internet Sales Manager. We were immediately impressed by Chandler. His no-pressure sales approach resonated with us. We appreciated the fact that he provided us with the out-the-door prices for the two 2025 CRVs we wanted to look at, both the EX and EXL models, before we even arrived at the dealership. After a test drive, we negotiated a deal, and up to this point the sales process was both easy and refreshingly straightforward. That all changed in the late afternoon when we met Marlon Dimalanta, a Finance Manager at Concord Honda. In stark contrast to Chandler, Mr. Dimalanta was brash, pushy, and disorganized. Besides his demeanor, Mr. Dimalanta was wholly dishonest. Mr. Dimalanta repeatedly told us that Concord Honda does not offer the Honda Care Warranty with new car purchases. He insisted that the only extended warranty option available to us was a third-party policy through a company. Only after Mr. Dimalanta understood our choice of dealerships would change if we could not link a Honda Care Warranty to our purchase, did he say that Concord Honda does, in truth, offer Honda Care. Mr. Dimalanta's trickery extended our time in his office considerably and could have trapped us into a contract with an inferior product. The frontline sales team, and Chandler Phelps specifically, were great. I would only recommend Concord Honda on the stipulation an honest finance manager is involved. read more

I made an appointment to look at a specific used car they had. The sales person assigned to me asked me to text my status when I was leaving-- I let him know that due to traffic I would be about 15 minutes late, but was on my way. He said this was totally fine and he'd be ready when I arrived. When I arrived I discovered that he was with another client; he said hello to me in passing. I waited about 15 more minutes for him to be available, while listing to him discussing car sales with this other client the whole time at a nearby table. So it was clear he double-booked me... which is weird! When you book an appointment to shop for cars at a dealership, they are supposed to block off time to sell you a car... not book multiple people at a time and divide attention between them! He was bouncing back and forth between me and the client that he had clearly double booked me with. Between each interaction with him there was a 10-15 min wait where he went totally AWOL. I expressed interest in looking at some other cars in addition to the one I'd come to see. He told me no problem, just wait for him at the front desk. I went to the front desk and when asked I told the front desk person that I was waiting for the salesperson. Front desk person said they would call him-- no reply from salesman. I continued to wait, giving the benefit of the doubt-- after all he had been so friendly and accommodating to me at first, showing me two different used cars and being very personable. After waiting at the front desk for about 30 minutes with him nowhere in sight, no update about his whereabouts or what was taking so long, I bade the front desk person goodbye and left. While I was doing my long wait at the front desk, another very friendly salesman chatted with me for a while, so clearly Concord Honda had at least one other salesman with an open block in his schedule. Why didn't I get passed off to him? They didn't seem particularly eager to help me out during this waiting period, and when I left they were perfectly fine with letting that be the end of it. I'm no Karen but I kind of think that if one salesperson pulls this with a customer, there should be some sort of "hey, we're sorry, do you mind waiting five more minutes and we can get another sales person/check and see where your salesman went?". I devoted a lot of time to commuting all the way up to Concord and had been promised an appointment time wherein I could shop for cars. The only explanation I can think of is that, because I wanted to buy a used car, I wasn't worth his time. I wasn't a customer that would yield a huge bonus off commission or whatever. He devoted a lot of time to another person DURING my appointment time. If he had already had an appointment with her before I booked my time, he should have told me he was not available at my requested appointment time, or allowed another sales person to take over for him! If the issue was that his prior appointment with a client before me had just run long, he should have been transparent about it-- called or texted beforehand to let me know he was behind schedule. Or, given me to another salesperson. Everyone was very friendly to me, which is why I didn't give 0 stars, but these actions were rude. I spent about two hours there, most of it was just waiting. I can't understand why he would double book me and then just leave me without explanation. I don't think I'll be returning, or if I do I will ask to have another sales person. read more

This place refuses to stop sending junk mail to our house to someone who does not live here. For 3 years I've been calling, emailing, returning the mail - they just refuse to stop. Some how these scammers think by harassing us, with a name that doesn't exist, will some how get them business. They absolutely will not stop. 3 YEARS. One time I called, the person angrily told me to "throw it away" and hung up. One time I called and the person on the line uses some profanity to me and hung up. Is this a place you want to buy a car from? Finally today I emailed all of upper corporate. I will continue to email them until they remove our address from their database. Takes 20 seconds to take our address out of their database - they'd rather waste paper and postage sending garbage to someone who doesn't exist. Can anyone explain this mindset to me? I will never understand these sleazy dealerships. What do you think will happen if you keep harassing us? We'll some how use your scam business? So if these people won't stop harassing me, a person who has zero to do with them, never stepped foot on their lot or talked to anyone here and keeps sending garbage to my house to someone who does not exist after 3 years of requests to get it stop, what do you think they will do with someone they DO work with on a car? Took my wife's car in for service. More than 2 hours for a battery replacement when I was originally quoted 1 hour to 1.5 hours at the latest. According to the service advisor once my vehicle was ready for pick up she couldn't find me, which is odd as I was in the waiting room the entire time and could see her talking with colleagues and never did she come to the waiting room looking for anyone. She said she texted my wife "a while ago" when she finally came to grab me, which means she wasted a not insignificant amount of my time. I can't wrap my head around the logic at work here as I could see her from where I was sitting and she knew that I was the one dropping off the car and that I was in the waiting room. I never saw her "looking" for anyone. When I was paying she offered no apology, just that she guessed she "texted my girl". As we are returning customers, and I didn't entirely enjoy our first service at this location, I can confidently say these people do not care about providing a quality customer experience. I can understand something taking longer than expected. I can understand making a mistake. But this all just seems like blatant disregard for the customer. I had a fantastic-one of a kind experience last weekend with Ali Maloky, longtime Internet Sales Manager at Concord Honda. Ali made the entire process of leasing a Civic Sport Hybrid for my daughter and me, very smooth and seamless. He made us feel like royalty from beginning to end. Ali is extremely experienced and intuitive, which allows him to quickly adjust to his customers' needs, timing, and availability. Thus, we closed the entire deal in five hours total consisting of only two quick calls, two emails with the needed documents, followed by two texts to confirm the in-person appointment at his dealership that same afternoon. The first visit was to inspect the vehicle (which had just arrived the previous day), confirm the Honda lease rate, and the desired down payment and monthly payment. The second visit the next morning was to re-inspect the vehicle already detailed, and close the deal. Ali arranged for an experienced Financial Manager named Marlon Dimalanta to coordinate the signing. At no time did Ali or Marlon pressure us in any way to purchase or add "extras" to our contract. Noteworthy is that it only took Ali and Marlon 15 minutes the first day, to confirm that I qualified for three Honda Finance offers, that another local dealership's sales manager did not want to fully extend to me. Ali checked in twice during the signing to ensure it was going well and personally handed us the keys as soon as the signing was complete. Ali followed up with us a few days later to ensure we had no additional questions, and that we were still fully satisfied with the car and his customer service (Yes to both!). No surprises, no gimmicks. Only top-notch honest service from a well-known and respected Sales Manager from Concord Honda. Ali has earned our repeat business and any referrals we can extend him. He was helpful throughout the whole car buying process, from shopping around, to test driving, to negotiating , and to the final purchase. He gave thoughtful feedback on what type of car matched what I was looking for. Although I didn't move forward with a trade-in, he did not give me pressure when moving forward. He was willing to work with our budget and was not pushy at all. He even offered me a courtesy ride when picking up my vehicle a different day. Communication from this dealership was very prompt and professional. I recommend checking out this Honda dealership when shopping around for cars. One suggestion I have is for the finance team to be a little bit quicker. Horrible! I bought a 2025 used Honda accord Hybrid Sport-L. A week later I hear loud clunking noises everytime turning. Took it to the Concord Service, they told me I did not get any warranty so it was on me... We tried going through Honda Goodwill Warranty and I was going to have to pay $1200. As they were fixing my car they found a cracked subframe and worned out joints. They were nice enough to fix that at no cost. HOWEVER, it gets worse, about 2 months later I lost total control of the car in the freeway and my car was unalligned. I took it back there, they told me they have no clue what happened and just aligned it again, this is when I noticed that the rear allignment was off! The service administrator (Only nice person on the whole dealership) told me they dont know what is wrong and to take it to a collision ecpert. This is when I got concerned and starting calling the store to talk tot he service manager. After 4 calls and 5 days I finally reached out to Kiho. When I talked to Kiho, Service manager, he got upset at me saying there is no way we wouldve let the car go out before with a misaligment and that I did the damamge on the car. However I found the last aligment given to me by HONDA and the rear was also misaligned. After a couple days Kiho calls back apologizing and with a completely different tone, he tells me its their bad and that he talked to the GM and used sales car manager and they were going to take care of me. Marlo, the Used car sales manager, calls me saying not to worry and to come in they were going to take care of me.... FALSE! I went in there and they offered me 3 thousand dollars less than what I bought the car for and said tough luck we cant do anything better. Then the lady who first sold me the car showed me another car, it had a slight cigarrete smell and she told me oh its cuz its been sitting in the lot, this car has no cigarrete smoke damage (LIE). I eventually left with the cigarrete car since I need a safe car. The day after I leave HONDA the cigarrete smell got 3 time worse... they just masked it. Buyer beware when financing a car through Concord Honda. We took our daughter to make her first big girl purchase. She landed on a 2026 Honda Civic sport. I am so glad that I was there and cosigning on this loan, otherwise she would have been taken buy the finance team. When we were shown our quote initially, it had all the bells and whistles. When I was asking what the items were that were add ins were, I was told these are "standard". I said I do not want gap insurance nor do I want a warranty. I want no extras! I was again showing the quote and we agreed to proceed. In with the finance manager, the guy began guiding us through an ipad. He said create your signature here. He would turn the iPad back to himself once I created my signature and move past all of the disclosures and then turn it back to me to sign not reading anything. Not even telling me the name of the document. He would just point to where I needed to sign or initial. I have financed enough vehicles in my time to know what a standard disclosure is. I allowed him to guide me through the standard jargon.... I really don't care about privacy disclosures much. I've read them a million times. He clearly didn't care about them either because he turned the iPad back to himself and I watched as he would click my signature and initial in several spots for me. Then came the paper documents. I wasn't told what I was signing. Not even the name of the document. He would just silently point point point point point point. He pointed me through the finance contract not saying a word. I took my time and I digested the numbers. Lo and behold... a warranty had been added on. I said, no warranty, no gap. Please remove this. There was much back and forth about this, I will spare you the details. Then, came documents where he wouldn't even show me the first page. I was given page two, the signature page. I said, excuse me, I would like to see this first page before I sign. He showed me the first page that contained numbers of the addons. These were again standard don't worry. I said, well, tell me what this is, PermaPlate? PermaPlate is their paint protection add on. This is in fact not a standard. I'm not going to go into more back and forth, I'm just going to say buyer beware. These deceptive financial practices make you feel like you are just a number to them. Just sign fool, I've got bonuses and quotas to make. I've never written an experience this long. It's just important that empires are cautioned before you go here. It was my family's first time dealing with Honda dealership in Concord and all the staff were friendly and made us feel like family. We'd mainly like to acknowledge Stephanie who helped us from start to end with finding our perfect car. Her hard work before visiting the dealership made us feel confident that we could walk out with a car, and she constantly came to check on us throughout our experience . Tommy also walked us through the steps in our process, helped us test drive the car , and learn some of the features it came with. He was patient, informative, and made sure we were satisfied . Lastly, Karim in finance helped tie up loose ends with payments. We appreciated his interest in learning more about us and also helping us protect our car. If we had to choose one thing to "complain" about, it would be the wait time but understand this is very common when buying a car . Everyone made sure we were comfortable while waiting. Concord Honda California you listed a 2025 Odyssey $790 & I demand you be honorable and sell it for the listed price, which is what is required by law whether or not it was a mistake. You posted this on TWO SEPERATE SITES (cars.com & concordhonda.com. So far, all I've received are your excuses and no Call back from the sales manager/owner?!? Dustin Piring (sales) Called me this morning 9:20a and said 1) that must be a mistake, I'll see what they'll do about selling it to you at this price 2) I doubt they'll sell it for that low. 3) It (the car) doesn't exist/isn'tavailable. When I ask for a manager of sales or the owner, he says...4) It would take me a while to find out who to refer you to, to resolve this issue because I'm not sure who handles it....then he says, 5) All the managers are in a meeting right now. Lol. Come on....resolve asap instead of giving excuses and suddenly both the car and the management and owners are nowhere to be found? Don't trust a sales pperson or dealership that has no integrity or desire to resolutely take responsibility and accountability. JUST DON'T! I took my car there for a B1 service, because they offered a reasonable pricing and had good availability. However, after the service they sent me a list of "critical" thing that needed to be completed (including break fluid exchange and transmission fluid exchange) which had already been completed by Walnut Creek Honda not less than 10 months prior. These were identified as "CRITICAL" services that needed to be completed in an immoral and illegal attempt to "churn" unnecessary repair costs. These were recommended absent any reasonable evidence or reasonable inspection of the vehicle AFTER the advisor had been advised that all recommended services had been performed by Honda of Walnut Creek. read more

Walked into this Honda dealership genuinely interested in test driving three models. They had one. Fine, I get it--inventory issues happen. What I don't get? Being greeted by a disinterested "salesperson" who looked like he'd rather be anywhere else. No handshake, barely eye contact. I've had warmer greetings from vending machines. I finally get into the one car they actually had available, start pulling out of the lot, and he asks for my phone number. I said I wasn't comfortable giving it. He replies, "Well, that's just our process." I promptly got out of the car handed the keys back. If your process is "no phone number, no test drive," then I guess your process is also "no sale." So to recap: 2 of 3 models? Not available. Basic human courtesy? Also not available. Respect for a potential customer's privacy? Nope. You lost a potential sale over a phone number??
