The only major criticism I have is how long it takes for the service to be done as it could take up to 2-3 hours no matter what it is. Another problem I had one time was when I got a new battery for my car from them, and 4 months later my car began having more problems again. Either a defective battery or something else. Fortunately, Concord Honda was able to see me at 5pm (2 hours after the incident occurred). Mark Zabat was my assigned advisor and made sure I was well-informed on the best and worst case scenarios. He let me know he would do his best to get my vehicle ready today, but could not make any guarantees. I really appreciated his transparency and great customer service. I have bought two vehicles from Honda of Concord and previously left a 5-star review for their service. However, my most recent experience was a masterclass in service negligence and gaslighting. My splash shield fasteners were found to be failing, and the staff spent an hour trying to convince me it was 'impact damage.' The physical evidence said otherwise: the metal shield was concave-out and the plastic was concave-in--a textbook sign of a bolt being over-torqued from the inside, not a hit from the outside. There were no impact marks on the bolt heads or the shield. The 'smoking gun' happened when the staff took me to another vehicle to prove their point; the technician had to use an impact gun just to remove the screws. This proved that they are habitually over-torquing these fasteners with power tools, causing them to strip and fail over time. While they eventually agreed to cover the repair, I had to argue basic physics against half the service staff to get them to take responsibility for damage caused during my previous services here. If you use this dealership, be aware that their technicians may be over-tightening your parts, and the service desk will try to blame you for the resulting failure. read more

So I have to say the process with the service department over the phone, was easy and pain free! My HR-V had a mandatory recall on the fuel pump, so I called my local Honda dealership but they kept giving me the run around. So I called the next closest dealer, which is location. They set up an appointment for me right away and ordered the part. When I arrived on Monday, Nicholas was truly a saint! Nick took care of me and said it would take 1 hour 45 minutes for the work to be completed. I was out of there in 1 hour 30 minutes! Btw they have a kick ass coffee station, as Nick said, the best expresso in Contra Costa County! He wasn't lying, I had two triple espressos, by the end of my service. Let's see where do I start? This was the first car I bought after a tragic car accident resulting in the loss of my daughter. The day after I bought this car the car would not start. The dealership did absolutely nothing to help and I was forced to come out of pocket multiple times and ultimately this car was a lemon. First time bringing my Acura MDX to this dealership. Definitely will NOT return. Experiences/reason: 1) called service dept to schedule appt for an A1. She said, "great! We're running a special for $72." Got there, service adviser would not honor, said that's not their price for an A1. She was out to lunch when my vehicle was done, another adviser informed me the $72 was oil change only, but the A1 includes checking the brakes, hence, the price increase for labor. I clearly stated to the scheduler that my engine message just popped up "A1." Nonetheless, the first adviser should have known their different services/prices and explained. 2) I showed the second (check out) service adviser their website stating 20% of any service and free car washer during mid-week (Wednesday & Thursday). I was there on a Wednesday. He stated the $102 was a special promotion price and cannot apply additional discount. But no such wording/statement was listed on their web ads. He completely ignored the advertised free car wash. I did not "argue" the issue... good service should NOT be pulling teeth. 3) They recommended complete brake service, and quoted over $1K, and midweek special of $744. Upon checking their website, front brake service is $388, rear brake service is 308. That's under $700. I will NEVER return to this dealership, nor ever recommend them. I loath bait and switch business tactics. They definitely need to train their advisers to be honest and know their dealership's website advertised prices. Full disclosure: I typically go to Pleasanton Acura for service where I purchased my vehicle, but they"re going through some changes... so I thought I'd try Honda for a basic A1. The HRV I bought had a paint problem that was known by Honda and the fix was supposed to be covered. I had to take it to Honda to get the damage photographed. Without asking my availability, they called me with a car appointment to get it fixed at a time when I could not take my car in. They then told me I'd have to come back and get it photographed and start the process all over again. I did get my car photographed again while bringing my car in for yet another recall. Concord Honda then ghosted me while the timeline ran out for the cost of repainting to be taken care of by Honda. I called several times and was told a manager would be consulted and they'd get back to me with an appointment. They never called back. Honda Corporate told me that because Concord Honda couldn't come to an agreement on a price with a local body shop, they just...gave up, I guess? I was also told by the representative on the phone that Honda Corporate has no ability to punish dealers for bad customer service. This is very important to know when you're buying a car! Don't go to a dealership with bad reviews. Although, I would argue that perhaps you shouldn't buy a Honda at all -- they clearly haven't mastered basics like car paint. I called the dealer again yesterday and left a message with the manager, but haven't heard back and don't expect to. Now I have a low milage Honda HRV with badly peeling paint that should hold way more value than it does. I feel cheated both by the product Honda sold under the umbrella of their old reputation for being a manufacturer of reliable cars that hold their value, and by Concord Honda for not fixing my car when they were supposed to and not even telling me they weren't going to within the timeframe of the repair offer. It's all so ridiculous that I couldn't believe I was actually hearing things correctly, but then I got an email confirming that Honda will not take care of my car paint situation since the dealership didn't fix it within the timeframe Honda Corporate made up (despite that fact that I started the process within the timeframe, and the dealership ran out the clock). This is undoubtedly the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life, and obviously, unless this is somehow magically fixed by Concord Honda, and they apologize appropriately, I will never consider buying a Honda again, and will make sure none of my friends and loved ones do either. This is not the way to treat people who spend their hard earned money on one of your cars. read more

Review for Concord Parts/Services. We all know going to the dealership for service is going to have a premium price tag. That said, as a long time customer here, the prices have doubled for simple things like oil changes ie B1 service. It used to be $60 last time I was there, and I left paying $120. Additionally they add a 3% credit card fee if paying by credit card. I expect that from a small local business, but for Honda car services? That's a low and just goes to show you this ownership is trying to nickle and dime its customers on EVERYTHING. The service overall was nothing stellar and as expected. The reps are trained to upsell you, but if you have kind ones like mine they'll tell you what is necessary vs what their company is trying to upsell to you. At least their employees know what their management is doing is WRONG for the customers. Won't be coming back here anymore. read more

So basically went in with my mom to get her a used car since her previous car was totaled. I already let them know that I read between the lines. I was a sales manager for several years and that we wouldn't be needing anything extra beside the cost of the car. They intentionally waited for me to leave to convince my mom to pay for a warranty on a 2021 Honda HRV with 22,000 miles which is absolutely ridiculous. I find it strangely malicious that they went out of their way for me to leave and my mom to be vulnerable to go ahead and get the deal done for her to greet the warranty - after I've already told them not to change anything. I purchased my Honda 2024 AWD CRV Sport L Hybrid. I did some shopping and comparing around the bay and this location had the color I wanted. I probably looked for a couple of weeks and had Carolina's number and she helped start the process. Annamarie closed me out but the process didn't take too long and same with financing. I didn't feel like they were too pushy. Fast forward to having my car for over year and I had 2 complimentary maintenance checks. I waited for the wrench to pop up and easily just scheduled my appointments via the Honda App. Super easy and convenient. The tech that helped me was great and honest and I even got to pay through my phone and see everything going on with videos. I opted to wait in the waiting area and work remotely. They have desk areas, outlets, and a coffee and drink station. Well air conditioned, clean bathrooms and also not too far from areas. There's a 10 mile radius shuttle system too. read more
