My first contact with Computer 1 was at their location in an upstairs office on 1st street. Over the years I have asked them many questions for which I always received a knowledgeable and courteous answer. About 2 years ago it became obvious I had outgrown my existing computer. At this time, I had them build me a new high end unit. 4 weeks ago, one of the components failed. This was probably my fault for not keeping the the computer clean. They replace the component with a loaner until a new one arrived, and reinstalled it under warranty with no charge. Dan and his staff have always treated me respect, and gone out of their way to accommodate my request. Ok dropped my PC off on Tuesday and said he would me call the following morning,never recieved a call until 1:15 pm the next day.Had a virus issue and said he could have it back Wednesday.Now someother guy says can't do the job until thursday with a ton of excuses.Such as had no power supply for a Dell Lap Top,didn't bother to call to get it just left me hanging.While standing there asked if I needed to get it,first tech said no problem he had plenty.So my gripe you drop the ball don't call and give me excuses,and you want to charge $ 125.00 to install a $69.00 Virus program.Most likely would of excepeted there price,and when I go in tonight will see.If they handle business I'll change my review.Ok my pick up results were EXCUSES as I figured.Simply pass the blame on someone else,brought it in with 5 hrs charge on the battery and when I picked it up it had 5hrs.Phone excuse was needed 2hrs to review the system,they had 5hrs,so shopping at The Computer Dr.s not this family.Maybe the owner should review his Techs response to the customers. Brought my desktop in for power failure on a Saturday; Matt looked at it and called me back within an hour and said he needed to order a part. Considering the time to order and ship, I didn't expect to get it back until at least a few days. He called me on Monday and said it was ready! Great honest, service. read more

Super friendly owner, fair pricing, and they do what they say they are going to do. You can't ask more from a business than that. I've used this business four times for various problems with my Mac and PC. One of my software problems they didn't fix correctly the first time but when I took it back they worked a long time to make it work right at no additional charge. I'm sure they lost money servicing my computer and I appreciate that they honored their original price quote even though it took more time than expected (maybe because I had to bring it back). I recently took my computer to Computer 1 with a problem opening my Outlook Program. After paying the bill to have it fixed, as well as an additional charge to have their technician bring it back to my place of business and re-install it, the technician saw that the same problem was still ongoing. At this point the technician suggested that in a few days when he had more time he would come back and delete Outlook and re-down load a new version, which he felt would eliminate the problem. I had no problem with that approch, but after nearly a week had passed I never got a call back on it, so I called Computer 1 and spoke with the owner who told me that he wasn't going to send his technician back, and that I needed to bring my computer back to his shop. I didn't understand why the technician couldn't just delete Outlook and re-download it at my place as originally suggested, since I had already brought it to them once for the same problem and then additionally paid a fee to have it brought to me and my external devices re-installed? If there was some valid reason it needed to be done in the shop, he never bothered to explain, he just began verbally insulting me and after his abusive tirades he ends by telling me "On second thought, don't bother bringing it back". The unwritten verbal warranty for 90 days isn't worth the sound waves used to proclaim it because after being abusive to me, why in the world would I take my computer back to his shop anyhow? There needs to be a level of trust with someone to whom you give your computer to right? So how good is a warranty after that kind of experience? read more

I tend to keep my computers (and my cars) until they just aren't worth the hassle anymore and my latest computer finally crashed. They were able to set up my new computer and transfer all my data over in a day, no hassle. Answered all my questions about buying a new computer too, no charge. Very good advice! They depend on local business and go all out in the service arena. Very decent prices too! It is wonderful to finally have a repair shop in town that is so trustworthy and dependable. It is a relief actually - like finding a dependable car mechanic! They always tell you what is worth the money and what isn't and where to spend if you are on a budget for the best value. Was cleaning the inside of my computer and when I tried to boot it, it didn't work. Called them up about an hour before closing, told them my problem and brought it in. They took my computer looked at it and did some trouble shooting. Took only about 15 minutes to figure out what was wrong and fix it! Staff was nice and knowledgeable and it was fast and it didn't cost me too much! Would definitely bring any of my computers back if I have any problems. read more

Got to say that these folks rock! Couldn't figure out why my router wouldn't work. Took my laptop to the shop. They tested it and told me it worked fine, and suggested that I replace the cable from my modem to the router. That was the problem! Very helpful folks at Computer 1!! read more
