Another terrific experience with Dan at Computer 1! Have done business with him several times and am so grateful to have such a great resource in our wonderful town! read more

This is my go to Place for anything computer related. They have loaded new computers , cleared virus' and performed many other repairs too numerous to list. All performed quickly , efficiently and cordially. There have been a few times when fixes were simple or not (nothing could be done) and we were not charged. Very honest and reasonable service! read more

Great service, knowledgeable! We've taken a few computers and lap tops, never an issue! Just very helpful!

Do yourself a favor and just go straight to Computers Corner in Vallejo. I'm a Benicia local and always try to support local businesses but twice I've been turned away from here and always end up at Computers Corner for computer help. Both times ended up being simple fixes like resetting the motherboard. Computer 1 also has a tendency of not considering or listening to the clients diagnostic, which is frustrating. read more

Great service! My laptop was infected with virus and he diagnosed it and fixed it for great and reasonable cost. I love his store filled with great memories in the 70's, 80's and maybe some 90's. He has a great collections of my fave 80's movies and soundtracks that brought a lot of great memories. I encourage people to visit his store for some nostalgia. Maybe browse, purchase, reminisce, get your computer repaired or just do them all. I remember as I walked in and discussing my laptop issues and at the corner of my left eye, I see an album that was one of my favorite 80's in movies...it was called "Some Kind of Wonderful". Immediately, in my head, I recited that famous line... "you break his heart, I'll break your face". Crazy, right! For sure, when I find the time to visit his store, I will stay longer and go through his collections of albums. read more

I had a minor issue with my PC, and I appreciated the friendly and efficient service at a very reasonable shop rate. The options for my repairs, as well as the possible outcomes, were clearly explained to me. I was also given great instructions on what to do once I returned home and plugged everything back in. I walked in without an appointment and, after a few minutes, walked out with my PC repaired. I value shopping for local services and will recommend COMPUTER 1 to everyone I know. read more

Computer 1 - IT Services & Computer Repair Near Me - Benicia, California

These guys exceeded my expectations pulling information off a crashed SSD drive. My wife's cousin had this low cost Raspberry type computer running Windows 7 that suddenly gave up the ghost . Computer 1 managed to recover key Quicken files as well as other documents for me onto a thumb drive. Made me a happy camper. Of course cousin is unhappy at being forced to use Win11 on replacement computer. read more

Dan deserves a reward for his patience with my computer issues! He is simply wonderful. He retrieved my files from a crashed hard drive, and after several errors on my part he loaded the files on my new (refurbished) computer and got me up and running again. Smart man and so fast! Exceptional communication, expertise along with great patience - and he is a funny man. So very happy to have a store like this close at by where customer service is at the highest level. Thank you Dan - for all your help, greatly appreciated. Now with all due respect if I see you again I hope it is a friendly hello and not computer related (I hate technology!). But if need support he is the man. read more

Our cat knocked a juice glass into my daughter's gaming tower leaving fan, GRU and interior covered in sticky juice resulting in loss of video connection altogether. In less than an hour, Dan had not only cleaned inside of this machine, but also removed/replaced certain software to improve the machine's operating efficiency. I cannot say enough about the professionalism and reasonable rates! If you need a fix or want a custom build, this place has my 100% support. He's also begun stocking turntables for anyone interested in a warmer sound. I will be a repeat customer! Thank you again. Scott M. read more

I needed to swap out a smaller SSD for a much larger SSD on my desktop. None of the shops in the Vallejo area were of help but one person did recommend Dan at Computer 1. I brought it in, he ran into a major problem, resolved it and had my pc ready in record time at an affordable price. I will definitely return in the future for any additional work. read more

Another amazing service. I have had them pull data from a hard drive that was wiped, pull data from a dead computer and fix my laptop. Great service, and they were able to get it done quickly. I don't go anywhere else. read more

5 stars for honest business practice! My laptop is headachingly slow. Trying to do anything on it becomes unbearable because it's so slow. I finally got fed up and brought it to computer 1. My family has been bringing our computers here for YEARS. The guy behind the counter kindly greeted me and i explained my issue he looked over my computer and let me know that it's a slow (cheap) processor. He explained how they could swap out parts but it would save me more money to just buy a new computer. He could have completely taken advantage of me charged me this and that but he didn't! Honest business practice is worth 5 stars alone! We've never had issues with computers they could do something for like i said my family has brought computers here for years and I'll continue to come back! Excellent!! read more

I called asking for help with simply installing two keyboard keys. I have the parts and a video to show them. I figured it was a pretty simple thing to do, especially for someone who knows computers. They couldn't help and said they only do the whole keyboard. That makes no sense to me. I was referred to someone else, which I did appreciate. I called them and they can't see me for a week. I'm very frustrated and disappointed. After I left my review, which was an accurate description of what happened, I was asked repeatedly by Dan Graf to take my review down. I understand where he's coming from. I'm simply frustrated and just really want this fixed and assumed they'd help. So that was my fault. Despite the small help I did receive, I am not taking my review down nor will I be disparaging their business. read more

Don't bother looking elsewhere for expert computer advice and repair. Computer 1 is THE BEST PERIOD. A fun shop to visit as well because Dan has so many interesting things to look at read more

They extracted the data from my deceased hard drive and copied it into my new computer. They set up the desktop on the new machine, including antivirus software, and gave me a Windows 8 $.05 tour. Truly a 5-Star business! When my hard drive died, Dan was extremely helpful in getting my files backed up and transferred to an external drive. He was nice to work with, explained everything, the prices are really reasonable, and he delivered the backed up files a day early. I can't thank you enough. If you're reading this review, don't take your PC or Mac anywhere else. Try Computer 1 first, as they offer a free diagnosis. read more

These guys are amazing, specially Dan Graf, very genuine guy, very genuine and honest with his opinion. I really liked him. They had my computer up and running in two days, that is really good since both my Mac Pro's hard drive and DVD/CD rom were fried or damaged due to the repeated droppings. I really liked how they had the parts in over night. They also have computers there incase computer gamers come in to play. Very helpful people, they are definitely part of the community. By the way is that really a WWII German helmet on the side of the counter??? read more

If you want your computer fixed (and guaranteed to be fixed), take it here. I took my laptop to another guy in town and though he was "nice," he could not figure out what was wrong with my computer. I took it to these guys and they figured out the problem within 5 minutes. Seriously - 5 minutes! True, I could have purchased a new laptop, but I'm not interested in Windows 8, and honestly - I just wanted my old one back. Bottom line: Come here, because they are good and guarantee their work. If you go somewhere else, make sure you ask what their policy is regarding money back guarantee, etc. I'm still working on getting my money back, I think it will work out but boy, what a pain! read more

These guys gave me the red carpet treatment. They even ran out my huge PC to my car. Dan and Matt helped me with my 3D workstation Computer. I was worried that there wasn't a place in the BAY that would actually be able able to address a high end set up. I didn't need a run of the mill tech/iphone/PC repair shop. I couldn't recommend them more; I particularly trust them with my PC workstation. Best case scenario for my emergency PC meltdown in the middle of a job. Thanks guys! read more

I have really been amiss not writing a review, sharing my experiences of a man of great expertise, and a proficient business holding great integrity. I have been utilizing Dan (and the Computer 1's team) for all my computer repair and upgrade services for years, since the Computer Doctor early days, and continue to do so in confidence. Working in the healing arts, technical stuff is not my strength. Finding a computer person I CAN TRUST is huge to me. Dan not only holds my trust, he earned it. There have been times I brought my computer in for repair with an idea/request of what should be done, where the shop would have made "more money" by doing so, but instead Dan spoke in an understandable language, laying out my options, always with the more practical & what would be in my best interest in mind, directing me why not to do my idea, yet another route. I have used them for maintenance, repairs and advice. Whichever of the services I have needed, they have always come with good, direct & timely communication; they have done exceptional repairs, and taught me preventative measures so as not to need them so much thereafter. I really value Computer 1 as a business and Dan as a solid guy, businessman. I appreciate the business relationship we have developed through the years. I will continue to mention & refer their services to my friends and colleagues in confidence. read more

ling with Dan and Matt for over 10 years. I have 4 computers and a network. They have always treated me honestly and professionally. I've got a gaming rig that I had still running on Windows 7. Something happened and corrupted the Windows install, I couldn't get it to take the restore disc, couldn't fix it myself - it was officially past my capacity to troubleshoot, so I brought it down to these guys. I had my baby back two hours later, with an upgrade to Windows 10 and with Win10 configured to be as close to Win7 as possible, because I had told them I was reluctant to switch off of Windows 7 at all. She's been running beautifully since I got her back and I couldn't be happier. Very reasonable price, quick service, if I run into something I can't fix again - on this computer or any other one - I'll definitely come back. (Also, the shop has some cool pieces of old tech hanging around, very neat if you're into that stuff at all. My SO came with me and was geeking out about some of the retro stuff while we were there!) read more

I have had interactions with this shop twice now: in my hours of need they have been there to help at lower prices than anyone else I could find! First: I had a home-built external hard drive that I had made from my old computer when it broke (this external hard drive was built by my old computer guy). Of course: It broke. It had a nice life span of a year and traveled A LOT... but it broke. I took it in to Computer 1. They recovered all the files and advised me to go out and buy an external from Western Digital and bring it in to them: so they could transfer my files onto a new hard drive. I asked if they wanted to make me an external or if I should buy one at their shop?: They told me it was cheaper for me to go to best buy and to stick with Western Digital because it fit my needs. [First Encounter: Honest, Fast, Hassle-free] Second: My girl friend's computer got a virus from another friend's flash drive that they were using to transfer homework on. I am a very tech friendly person and ran a few virus scans and cleaned up the computer as much as I could; but the computer was still doing an auto shutdown every 2 minutes and obviously still had the virus. I knew I was out of my league. I called the shop, and explained what was happening. Over the phone they had me check a few "identifiers" that let them know that she did indeed get one of the newest virus' out there, and that if I had waited another day or done a few things (like empty the Temp Internet files etc)... she would have lost everything. It was a flat fee for them to recover the files, destroy the virus AND in general clean up her laptop! [Second Encounter: Fast, WILLING TO HELP OVER THE PHONE, Great Customer service and overall excellence] My Review is a SOLID 4 Stars. This might bump up to a 5 star rating in a few months after I have them build me a gaming rig. Since I have not had them build anything for me yet: I am going to stick with 4 Stars since I have not used ALL their services. Thanks for the Help! read more
