I'm a locksmith.. I had an issue where where pulling the chip off of the ECU broke legs on a 48 leg intel chip.. no matter what I did, I could not resolder the legs. Basically the job was dead.. I called this gentleman up and he helped me instantly on the spot. For high-tech electronic needs, this is the go-to in Solano county. read more

The cat puked on my Apple Mac Book Pro (TRUE STORY). The keys where he puked stopped working and a couple others. I brought my computer to Old Towne Electronics and they worked a miracle. I am typing this review on the very same computer. I was pricing a new computer thinking there was no way they would be able to fix it, BUT they did. It was a flawless repair. I can not recommend Olds Towne Computer enough. read more

Excellent technician! He's truly the Vallejo MacGyver when it comes to electronics. Very affordable, the bill rarely exceeds $50, even for multiple appliances. read more

We had to chase down the owner to get our son's iPad back. It was several weeks of promising that there was a wait on parts that were ordered and then weeks for it to be fixed. Lack of response to multiple phone calls to check if our son's iPad was fixed was extremely frustrating. My husband finally saw him face to face and after expressing upset feelings, the owner promised to fix it by the next day. Thank We you for fixing the tablet, but we shouldn't have to go thru all that to get a job done. read more

This man deserves zero stars. He has my Beats by Dre beat box since April 2025. He doesn't answer the phone and the store is never open. Legal Action needs to be done. He took a down payment of $20.00 also. He has not fixed it it still sit it the same spot as when I dropped it off. read more

I write this as a serious warning to others. I previously had Mohammad look at my desktop as I suffered a power surge on 9/14/24. I paid him and he fixed my desktop right up. I received it back after I paid him and I trusted him. When I received my desktop back, I asked him if he could look at my hard drive which also suffered damage. I wanted to see if he could fix it. He texted me that he had the parts needed to fix it. That message was sent to me in October of 2024. I've heard absolutely nothing about it since. I was so fed up I threatened to send a police report. At this point, I did because I want my hard drive back. It is now January of 2025 and I still have not heard anything. Nor have I gotten my damaged hard drive back. DO NOT SEND YOUR BROKEN/DAMAGED ELECTRONICS TO THIS SHOP. read more

Owner has had 5 TVs from my company for several months. Does not answer the phone, and doesn't return phone calls, and I've had no follow up except when I go in. Every time I have he says he's still waiting for the parts. The shop is a complete mess, and stinks. He is nice but is in too deep at this point. As a previous sales and service manager at a Mom and Pop repair shop like this, I'd say he needs to cut his losses and empty the place out and start fresh. Repair is a good business in a city like Vallejo, it just needs to be done right. read more

If you have the patients ,Mohammed has the skill to get your electronics up and running again, his services are in heavy demand,I realize that now. Mohammed and his son are a true tag team. My 85 inch Samsung 4K crystal TV went out, they came to my house and they had my TV up and running within 24 hours of diagnosis. I am truly amazed at their professionalism, level of expertise, and transparency, and the parts and labor and diagnostic were very affordable. I'm glad that they were able to make my television alive again; otherwise, a new 85 inch would've caused me $2500. Highly recommend Old Towne electronics. read more

I took my TV there 1year ago 7/2020. The gentleman told me give him a week and he would check it out. I waited 2 Weeks since I wasn't able to get him over the phone. I came to the shop and he told me he ordered the part, and it would be ready in a few weeks. I came back in two weeks and he said the part had not come. He assured me the TV would be ready in another week. Now I'm like ok maybe he's just overwhelmed. Fast forward to Nov I go back and he says I have the part now he shows me my TV which made me feel better. I've been calling everyday and I have went to business over and over again no one answers. It has been over a year from 7/2020 to 1/2022 nothing. He's not answering the phone and he's never there. I don't know what to do. Please help . P.R. read more

Update: Literally almost one year, he finally calls! I rushed down there immediately to pick up my receiver and go home and hook it up. Everything works! So long story short, he does good work. It be prepared to wait. I hope he learns to just be honest and tell people that it will take 3 months, 6 months or a year. read more

What an honest fellow! My 55" Sony mysteriously stopped working, so after trying every conceivable way to start it, I took off the back panel just to see if there was anything obviously wrong (like a burned part, whatever). Nothing amiss. So I took it to Mohammed and paid my $20, his estimation fee, and he called me the next day and said "It's working." Apparently my touch wasn't as sensitive as his! So, I went to pick it up and was delighted to hear "no charge." Wow, what a guy! I'm still scratching my head wondering why in creation it would start for him and not me... oh well... read more

My mom's 55" Samsung HDTV suddenly stopped turning on after only 4 years. We went to Costco and bought a 50" LG HDTV, which she decided she didn't like, as the picture wasn't as clear, color vibrant, and the feet were wobbly. So I took a chance on taking the Samsung to Old Towne Electronics. The deposit fee was very reasonable, and the callback for diagnostics and total cost for repair was half of what we paid for the new LG. It took about 2 weeks for the parts and repair, but the TV is back, and better than ever! And we returned the LG back to Costco. The repair technician is very efficient and courteous, and practices safe social distancing and wearing a mask. This is my go to from now on for electronics repair. read more

My wife's electric folding mobility chair had a broken wire in the plug to one of the wheel motors. There was no power in the joystick control as a result. Chair and scooter companies do not offer specific repairs like this and want you to purchase all the components ( new joystick/wiring). Mo soldered the broken wire and checked the joystick innards. The chair works again and my wife is very happy! He called the next day to ask about its operation. read more

Great place. Came in to get my macbook air (2020) screen fixed because my puppy bit my screen and I could still hear my shows being played but the entire screen was black. A bit pricey though cause it's apple and new edition. Also waited about 4 days because he had to order the screen but other than that it was good as new when I got it back. He was really helpful and very kind. Would definitely recommend this place. read more

Hired Mohammed to fix the back light on a 50" television about a month ago. He came by same day to pick it up, gave us a very fair, reasonable estimate, and informed me that he would drop it off the next day. That was wonderful. The television worked for about two weeks.... And the light went out again. Oh dear. We called him to fix the issue as the work he had done for us was under warranty. Getting a hold of him was difficult--the voicemail to his shop was full and nobody answered the line. Thankfully I had his cell number from the last pickup, so I reached him that way to have the tv serviced again. Said he would be by around 6-8 to pick it up. Come 8:45 and nothing--so I called again. He came by shortly after, and informed us that this time we would have the tv back in two days. I didn't hear from him for a week and I had to call his shop (full voicemail) and then left another message on his cell to which he returned the next day. He was very courteous, polite, and professional. The cost for his work is very reasonable. However his lack of communication is somewhat alarming and I had to do some chasing down to get status updates, which is especially nerve wracking when the product is not ready when promised. It made me overall hesitant and nervous about the quality of his service. I will update my review once the tv is returned to let you know the quality of his work. read more

Mohammed was a super sweet guy, gave me all the information I needed to know about fixing my smashed up galaxy 4. He fixed it over night, even though he had to change the color of the phone from black to white, he even gave a me a nice case for it at no charge. His price was very reasonable (I called many places asking about price, his by far was the best) even though I couldn't reach the store until 8 on a Sunday, he made himself available being that I was visiting from Sacramento. That's some quality customer service!!! I will be going back to him for any broken electronics! read more

In 2002 we bought a Gateway Flat Screen TV, which was pretty cutting edge at the time. A few years later however, Gateway got out of the TV business and went back to computers. In 2010 the TV abruptly stopped working and we couldn't find anyone at Gateway who could help us since they had stopped supporting their TV's. We discovered Old Towne Electronics in the Yellow Pages and they went above-and-beyond to help us. After picking up our TV, the owners at Old Towne did extensive research and tracked down a company in upstate New York that purchased all of Gateway's old TV spare parts. With this information, they were able to source the part that our TV needed and made the repair. About a year later something else went out and again Old Towne was able to get it back and running and spared us the expense of having to buy a new TV. Old Towne's prices were very reasonable considering the extra work they put in. Eventually the Gateway died of "old age" and we since bought another TV, but Old Towne easily extended its life by a good couple of years. read more

I was looking for a shop to help with my 67" Samsung DLP.. My set was constantly shutting down and while replacing the color wheel a ribbon connection had broken loose..Mohd was able to fix and reinforce the plug.. I'd also developed the dreaded dark shadow at the top of the screen.. Mohd fixed that also with a new light tunnel. I couldn't be happier..
