However, there was a little too much mayo, and I love mayo. I also feel like it needs more flavoring like spices or herbs; the pickles helped with this but it needs something else. Overall, great sub and I would try their other subs. Service was great and friendly. It's more of a takeout location; limited seating inside and three small tables for outdoor seating. I decided to go with a customer favorite- crunchy boi, which was a traditional turkey sandwich with potato chips inside. It was DELICIOUS and massive! Easily made 2.5 meals. The shrettuce was my favorite- I am so picky about lettuce and this was perfect. My only qualm was the bread- it was a bit too thick and bland for me, but the inside of the sandwich made up for it. We came an hour before closing and ordered a BLT for our 6 yo son, but they only had two pieces of bacon so they made him half a sandwich for free. I'm really disappointed. I moved out of the area a few years ago and finally flew back for a few days and had to put this spot on my list. I drove an hour into DC just to try these subs, checking social media to ensure they would be open. Upon arrival at 11am I see they're closed with no signage or posting on social media. I waited for 30 minutes in hopes someone would show up to no regard. I was at the DuPont location and someone finally picked up and said they forgot to post on socials. It's just really disappointing since I was looking forward to this all trip and made the long drive down here just to turn around because someone forgot to inform people of closure. Such a great little shop near Dupont Circle! I was lucky enough to be able to walk here from my office during a recent trip to DC for one of the best sandwiches of my life. I was intrigued by the Crunchy Boi, so it was an easy decision for me. I removed the cheese, and added hot peppers and pepperoncinis. This was almost perfect for me, but I should have swapped the garlic mayo for regular mayo as I'm not a huge garlic lover. The utz chips add an awesome texture (I recommend eating it quickly and not saving this one because the chips get soggy - dont make my mistake), and the bread is incredibly soft. My normal spots are in the sub 10 range, but the crunchy boi was around $16, which is pretty pricey for me, and not a place I would regularly start going go, but for special occasions? Hell yeah. We saw this place on Tik Tok and decided to give it a chance especially since it had a gluten free options. I got the turkey Caesar which was incredible. It was a $5 up charge for the gluten free roll but it was a big sandwich and we took half home so it was like two meals. The sandwich was good and the chips added a nice crunch factor. The service was okay. The whole operation is a little hectic.
