    Athens Sandwich
    Vivian Z.

Stellar stellar sandwiches. Some of the best I've had. Well worth the walk. Their sides are fun too, I got the curried potato salad which was addicting. Friend got the picked veg which he liked but honestly I was like nooo thanks. Sandwiches- the three of us got - 1. the Athens: great meat flavor, fresh vegs, wish there was a bit more distinct flavor. 2. Seoul: star of the group, so flavorful and fun! Saucy and rich. Lots of meat. 3. Buenos Aires: probably least memorable of the bunch. Can I say these sandwiches were SO friggin huge!!! For the price it's fair. Was in a food coma but again so worth it. Come out! Sandwiches take a minute to make probably because everything is freshly made to order. There was a small line but do it!!! Super excellent. The three of us had sandwiches and a couple sides and drinks and I'm pretty sure it was around $80.

A small but mighty sandwich shop! Order through your phone by scanning the QR code located throughout the shop or at the tables. I ordered the Seoul which has slices of tender and sweet bulgogi, mixed greens, kimchi and garlic mayo. It was incredibly delicious! My fiance ordered the Buenos Aires. He said it was a bit on the dry side even with the added egg. I had a bite of his sandwich and I did enjoy the steak and chimichurri. He suggested that the steak and chimichurri be mixed together instead of the sauce just spread onto the bread. Overall a great place to pick up a quick and delicious lunch!

This hole in the wall has a wide variety of really tasty around the world themed sandwiches. I opted for the Seoul sandwich, consisting of marinated bulgogi beef, pickled veggies, lettuce and garlic mayo on a french roll. The meat was very flavorful and tender, i wouldn't hesitate to come back and order the same thing or try a different sandwich.

Such a great spot! Huge, filling portions. Can be a bit slow - but I recommend ordering ahead online! A little pricey but again, huge portions for a DC sandwich shop. Vibe: N/A (had take away!) Service: 8/10 Havana sandwich: 8/10 ($17 after tax and tip) Overall: 8/10 (4/5)

I ordered the Milan sandwich and it was to die for - one of the best sandwiches I have had in ages. Gave me regular breakfast sandwich vibes with the pancetta being fried crispy, and the arugula, garlic aioli, and gorgonzola took it to the next level. I loved that the gorgonzola was added in the crease of the loaf so that bites on the right side had it and bites on the left were lighter without - a perfect balance. Eggs were cooked nicely and the loaf itself was sooooo soft. No scratching the roof of your mouth. 10/10 and would 100% order the Milan again - perfect brunchy sandwich for a person like me who can't go a day without breakfast but is heading to the shop around noon!

Checking out my new workplace local shops and found Sundevich. Tried the Kingston sandwich and it was fire. Fresh ingredients, excellent seasoning, and super soft bread. A bit pricy for a regular lunch spot, but one sandwich could easily feed two people. Nice decor, and hardworking staff. Tip: come in and scan the QR code to order; they will call your name when it's ready.

I walked in and the way the shop is set up is the counter is a small corner and no one was at it. I assumed it was more of a QR code sort of vibe, so I found the QR codes but couldn't get them to work on my phone. I went to the counter but there were signs "Don't bother the people expediting on the line", so I just waited. A guy helped me pretty quickly although service was middling. I got the Seoul Sandwich and the potato salad on the side. The sandwich was a little bland for my taste, kimchi wasn't spicy in classic kimchi style and I ate it and it was super filling and huge-but just didn't blow me away. I will say the bread was very fresh and good. The potato salad was basic but good, also was a generous portion!

They operate a deli counter in the front and a bar / speakeasy in the back. You can rent out the bar space for private events. Last night, we had the space (and a bartender!) to ourselves, along with 3-4 different types of sandwiches. There is something SPECIAL about their seeded Italian bread. The perfect flakiness and texture. I enjoyed the chicken fontina and Italian. The caprese was my least favorite--not sure if they use a balsamic or what, but the flavor wasn't coming through. Before I left, I decided to order a large chicken cheesesteak to take home for lunch the next day. It was a bit of a risk to order a hot sandwich that I would have in the fridge overnight but I heated it up in our air fryer/toaster oven for all of 10 mins and the bread was good (not soggy) and the sandwich itself was delicious. I enjoyed it so much, I didn't stop to take a photo until the last bite :) It's a decent size sandwich--I ate half for lunch (along with my own chips and veggies) and have another half for tomorrow so while it's not cheap, I think it's reasonable.

There is metered street parking and commercial lots/garages within a reasonable walking distance from here. They serve wraps, salads, and cold and hot sandwiches. I ordered the Korean Steak Sandwich. It took them about 10 to 15 minutes to prepare my sandwich. They should use a number system for order pickups because people, including myself, had difficulty determining which order they were serving. Many of the sandwich names sounded alike. My sandwich was kind of small for the price, and it wasn't very filling. It was, however, very good. It was flavorful and packed with flavor. The service was ok. It was nothing special. They did their job and did not go beyond or be overly friendly. All in all, I would recommend checking this deli out for some really good sandwiches. Personally, don't think the hype meets the expectations. But with that said, it's still a good wrap and I'd get it again but I don't think it's the best wrap I've had or worth going out of your way for. If you're hungry and near by, sure go get it but don't make any special trips just for this wrap. Id love to try their other options on the menu at some point!
