The quote was on par with other companies, and our pool guy had recommended PPP so it seemed like a no brainer. It took a really long time for the work to be completed, and there were nonstop additional costs all along the way. The gentleman who did the quote botched it, and at one point we had 4 gentlemen from PPP come out (including the gentleman who gave the quote) to our house to discuss all of the additional costs. They bickered amongst themselves and told the gentleman who gave the quote that he did a poor job, and then they walked him around the yard to give him pointers of where he should be looking for future quotes. It was awkward and unprofessional, and in the end we agreed to split the cost. After that, communications became extremely curt, all of the work seemed to be done much more sloppily, and we are still waiting for them to come back to fix the ladder that they installed incorrectly. When friends ask me who did our pool, I tell them "Pima Pool Plastering, but I do not suggest you use them".

Absolutely disgusting experience with Ashlynd at Pools By Design AZ…read more I had to delay my pool project and financing for a year because I was battling cancer. Instead of showing an ounce of compassion, decency, or professionalism, Ashlynd chose to be rude, condescending, and outright demeaning. She talked down to me, belittled me over the communication gap, and made it very clear she wanted me to feel small over my financial timing. Let that sink in: I was considering paying this company $80,000, and this is how I was treated. It was arrogant, cruel, and completely unacceptable. No customer should ever be chastised or made to feel "less than," especially while dealing with a life-altering medical crisis. That interaction told me everything I needed to know about this company. I took my business elsewhere, and I strongly recommend others do the same. If this is how Pools By Design AZ treats people before they even get your money, I can only imagine how bad things get after.

He didn't come by to deal with the pool after months of neglect because he left and the hot tub still has mildew. Awful people!! They lie, they don't service your pool and they don't care about causing damage to your pool motor. Blue knight pools merged either then and since then our pool has looked like complete garbage. Yesterday I went out to see my PSI fluctuating between 30-50 PSI so I shut off the system because I don't want to burn the motor out. When Jessie the pool guy showed I I told him that I think the filters are dirty and he said that's not his job. So I asked what is your job and he said to vacuum, scrubbing bottom, and skimming the pool and he refused to clean the filters. Instead he suggested we cancel our contract because he's tired of being yelled at about bad service techs and having to fix their issues. Nobody yelled at him. So I let him be and would again try to call the office (they haven't responded to calls in weeks). Well Jessie found out he can't do his job of vacuuming the pool without suction because the filters were too clogged. Guess who had to do a job that isn't his? Jessie. So now we have clean filters...but why fight with a company you pay good money to for a service? We will be parting ways. Unacceptable. Also, no need to respond with the run around Mike.

In all that time I have always had problems with keeping algae blooms and cloudiness at bay. Always felt like the pool store was just trying to sell me more chemicals. I decided to give these guys a shot and see how they did, and when they first started my pool was very green. In 2 weeks they had my pool crystal clear and it has been that way ever since, even after a hard rain which was when I always had problems in the past. Always had a strong chlorine smell before and now we can barely smell the chlorine and our skin can tell the difference. I also have kept track of my pool chemical expense for the past years and the monthly fixed cost is hundreds less than I have spent in prior years. I rarely write reviews but I have been so satisfied with their service and cost savings that I felt they really deserved a glowing review. As a matter of a fact, they even have called me when people have showed up at my house unannounced for deliveries and helped me out. And the real story here is why I switched to Quality Pool and Service Repair in the first place. The former company I worked with showed up on different days of the week, sometimes not at all. I'm pretty forgiving so I moved past that, as long as the job gets done, right? The final straw for me was when I came home at 8 PM after a long day at work and MY DOGS WERE IN THE STREET because the person who serviced the pool did not close my gate. I called, explained why I was upset and was simply told that it probably wasn't all their fault. I decided to end our agreement immediately. Anyway, I thought I could care for my own pool which then turned green and it pretty sad/pathetic. I called Sam, explained what happened and not only did he get my pool all tuned up, he also PROMISED me that they would show up on one day every week so I could lock my dogs in the house. I cannot tell you how appreciative I am and how that one things made me really trust and endorse this company. They're amazing. They're reliable. They care.
