unfortunately the experience here was less than ideal even though I had such high hopes! The main factor getting the stars for this review is the space. it is expansive, clean, and modern. I would have been a regular here because there is plenty of seating that would allow for me to do any work with less distraction lol. The service was also what added the additional star because the baristas were courteous and nice. Unfortunately, what was docking the rest of the stars is two things...one was a foul odor that emitted the space. It was almost like toilet overflowing smell which is not appetizing when you are looking to grab a drink and a bit. Although we had planned to get food too, my friend and I decided just to stick with drinks. I opted for a blended dirty chai and unfortunately it was terrible. It did not taste like there was any espresso in it and the chair itself tasted so artificial and had a weird aftertaste. I was considering asking for another drink but saw that they were super busy and we opted not to wait. Unfortunately with this experience I am unsure if I'd come back. xx

Nice, large space with lots of tables. There were two tables devoted to groups and since this coffee place is located in the Redemption Church complex, my guess is that they were bible study groups. The grounds are fabulous - there must be 20-30 acres of space with grass, walkways, etc. very beautiful. I ordered a single breakfast sandwich and it was good. I was surprised that orange juice was not available. There also wasn't any salt. I could have asked for it but there was a big line at the counter. There wasn't much service to speak of since it's a counter service place. The workers were very friendly, though. Would I come here again? Yes, if I was in the area, which is Gilbert.

I have been looking for a new place to study and I came across The Commons. The coffee shop is located on a church campus. The dining area is very open and pretty. I ordered an iced americano and the price was super reasonable. I think it was only $3. The employee behind the counter was helpful and sweet. I ended up spending 3 hours in the sitting area working on homework. I would recommend!

This place is a little hidden gem. It is so cute with bright open space, with floor to ceiling windows. It's tucked back in a church. The food is good and the staff are incredibly sweet. Food came out quick and is fresh. Whenever I'm in the area I will be returning. Great little place to work too for the professionals.

    Great place to study!

Lovely place to study, hangout, chill, read, or grab a cup of coffee. Prices are very reasonable and there are tons of tables and couches to hangout at. My only issue is that the hours are very limited and they are closed 3 days of the week. From the road the coffee shop is not visible but it is located next to Redemption Church, once you enter the parking lot, follow the signs and it'll take you there!

    Indoor seating with good views

Great place to work and grab lunch! Good view and natural light. Lots of room to find a spot and work for a few hours. Food was good too - lots of options.

This place is a gem. It's always chill, and the Wi-Fi is faster than it is at my house. We come here to work often and even bring the dog. There's a big grass area for them to run around too. It's weird it's on a church campus, but it runs as a separate business. I'm not religious, but I'll keep coming back for the Wi-Fi, great coffee, and food

I love this coffee shop. It's kind of hidden away between other buildings at this church, but it is worth searching out. The coffee and tea are delicious. Food is also good quality as well and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I haven't tried the baked goods, but they look enticing as well. This is a casual environment and there's lots of natural light because of the huge windows they have. I would think it would be a great place to study because it's generally pretty quiet. Prices are reasonable and comparable to other coffee shops, and the quality is outstanding. In terms of quality you definitely get more bang for your buck than at a commercial coffee shop and you are also buying local!

Since this is attached to the church is this super busy on Sundays? Looking for a place for a friend and I to come and work on something together.

It's relatively busy in Sunday's, but only right before or after services. The rest of the time you would be able to find seats and order quickly.

I tried their special vanilla matcha, and unfortunately, I didn't enjoy it at all. It was overly sweet, and the matcha flavor was barely noticeable. I've definitely had much better matchas elsewhere. Maybe this place is better known for their coffee. Overall, it's a nice hangout spot, but I don't see myself going back.

I ordered a large hot pistachio latte with oatmilk. The coffee was extremely well balanced and the pistachio flavor was noticeable and delicious. This was one of the best lattes that I have gotten in the valley and I highly recommend trying it.

Even though there wasn't a lot of people, the service was surprisingly slow. The staff were extremely friendly though. I ordered a Robin with Oatmilk and a fruit danish. The fruit danish was delicious and flaky, but it was way overpriced which I didn't find out until the barista was entering it into the cash register. Transparency for the cost of food items was lacking, there was no prices listed for the bakery items. The Robin with oatmilk was okay, the coffee taste itself was pretty good, but I couldn't taste any of the infused lavendar flavor at all in the drink. It tasted like it was a plain latte, not what they advertised. I don't recommend ordering this drink. Overall I personally wasn't impressed with Sagebrush, and I probably won't be coming back.
