I had a great experience with Comfort Connections. I used Yelp to reach out to a few electricians/HVAC companies in the area, and got a speedy call from Steven. When on the phone, he was very personable, asked questions to learn more about the issue, and even explained in detail his thought process. It was very transparent in terms of what the service and price would look like. He had me call another number to get scheduled which I was able to do very easily. They got someone scheduled at a date/time that was convenient for me, and someone showed up right on time. I had a faulty bathroom fan that was going to be an electrical hazard. Thanks to them, they were able to replace that fan, install a new switch for the bathroom, and even create a new airway for the vent through the roof. I didn't even know I needed all that done, and they were able to do it quickly and efficiently. As the homeowner of a rental property, I was not there when the work was being done, but the technician Justin, was great about calling me when he was on the way, calling me when he was able to diagnose the issue, and texting me when the job was done. Again, very transparent and I could tell this whole team knows what they're doing. My tenant also had great things to say about Justin when he was at the house. Our furnace was having a bunch of issues, so we asked for a repair. They came out and cleaned it up for us. They also showed us why it was having issues. Mostly it was well past its expected lifespan (10 years older than it should be). They said we'd probably need a new one, but that ours could also last a number of years. I researched this online and found everything they were saying to be true. It even aligned with the parts they showed us that were struggling. They didn't push us on buying a new one. There was no hard sell or anything. But they did say if we wanted to buy a new one, they could help us choose the right one and even get financing if we needed it. Our independent research supported that we definitely needed a new one. So we asked them to take care of it. And they did. Well. Super friendly and knowledgable. It's been up and running now for a couple of months. It's like night and day. The power and temperature just work. We didn't realize how bad the other one was. Wow. Steven (the owner) is AMAZING. He came to our house the day I called him, (accurately) diagnosed our heating issue in our basement, personally brought his guy over to our house (Stefan) to work on our basement two days later, and had the issue COMPLETELY resolved for a reasonable price. I know the pricing was reasonable because I called three other local companies before choosing to go with Comfort Connection. I originally used Thumbnail to find providers and eventually, when I wasn't impressed with the options, I went to Yelp. Needed a new furnace, filtration system and air purifier as part of an air quality project in my home. I found Comfort Connection on Yelp by searching HVAC companies with high ratings. Steven responded promptly to my inquiry and after answering several questions, suggested I get three bids and make a decision. I took his advice and he came out personally and met with me for close to two hours to answer all my questions, and was able to give me a very good bid by the end of our meeting. After considering 3 companies, communicating several times with Steven, and even asking him to source air quality equipment he had not used, he was able to locate it and still came back with the best price for everything I wanted. I made the appointment and needed it to be on short notice because I had other work at the house being done before and after the installation. CC was able to accommodate my request and get me scheduled within 3 days. Gage and Scott came out to do the install, and were very friendly and thorough and patient with all my questions. There were a couple of hiccups along the way that were out of their control, but they responded professionally and had to go above and beyond to get the job done. It took 2 days instead of one but there was a lot of work to be done with my particular set up, and they were dedicated and hard-working even in the rain and cold. I had a light fixture in front of my garage that needed to be repair or replace. On 3/2/2026 I called and spoke with customer service name Ciara, asked about the service cost and rate of charge. Per Ciara $129.00 for service call (to diagnostic) when I asked about is the company charge by hourly or flat rate. Ciara said it flat rate depend on the job. Appointment set for Friday 3/6/2026 @9:00am. The electrician Justin showed up at 8:00am. I was surprise but ok with it. When I asked again about the rate. Justin said $129.00 for 15' diagnostic and then $93.00 per 1/2 hour. I told him that not what I understand from Ciara. Since he said that it's what the company charge. Because he is already here. I decided to go with the company. Justin did a great job to remove the old fixtures and installed the new lights (which I provided the material) He quote me $583.30 (include some discount) +$129.00. Total $712.30. He did this for less than 1 hour and 30'. My complaint is that why did he charged me so much. Seems like a excessive charged for 2 installed light fixtures and less than 2 hours. No matter how you look either flat rate or hourly rate. It was too expenses. I would never use this company again. A Blizzard, a Problem, and a Hero named Steve. In the chaos of this year's historic January blizzard, our home was left without power for an agonizing six days.. When the power finally came back, our furnace didn't work. I reached out to many HVAC companies, including Comfort Connection, but everyone was fully booked. Despite this, Steve, from Comfort Connection, took the time to offer help over the phone, suggesting a few troubleshooting steps I could attempt on my own. Before I could try Steve's advice, our Home Warranty found an available HVAC technician who was able to come onsite and identify the issue as a gas line problem, something they couldn't fix. Our home was freakin cold, and now we had to wait for NW Natural to fix the gas line. Ugh.... I updated Steve via text about the situation, not expecting further assistance since the problem was now identified and out of his hands. But Steve wasn't done with us. Upon learning we had diagnosed the issue, instead of moving on, he volleyed over a few ingenious, unconventional solutions to try. One of his creative fixes breathed life back into our furnace, and our family literally danced in the kitchen. I can tell you that we were miserable before the heat turned back on. When I asked about payment, Steve insisted no charge was necessary; he was just glad to help. Even the initial HVAC tech was left in awe during a follow-up visit, unable to fathom how Steve's solution had eluded professionals. NW Natural's eventual arrival only confirmed Steve's savvy diagnosis and fix. This wasn't textbook knowledge; it was the wisdom of years, the kind that's earned, not learned. Electrical work by Justin is fantastic. Story below. Wow, so I kept having a breaker trip to my HVAC. 2 companies looked at my panel, said it wasn't the panel. Fine. But what they didn't say: you have burns, pitting, and arcing on your panel. This is dangerous. 1 company saw the burns and didn't tell me, saying it had been fine so far. Comfort Connection took a good look and saw the danger. They showed me the burns and scorching--it was obvious. I had them replace the panel and upgrade my meter. They got PGE to do an emergency permit that day. Beautiful work, very good pricing ($1,000 less than other estimates), done in a single day, and they found & fixed the electrical short to my HVAC as well. They cleaned everything up, no debris left. They also made it so I can easily add (HVAC, electric car charger) directly from the meter. So gotta say, would definitely hire them for any electrical work. Very pleased! read more

UPDATE: 60 seconds after I posted this review, Steven contacted me via text to say something similar to what he posted below. I texted him back that I had emailed him June 1 and 3 in troonse to his proposal and texted a follow up the next week and he never responded to any of my 3 attempts. By texting me after I left the review, he demonstrated that he had my number, so I suggested he look back at the text chain and he admitted that he had failed to respond to my multiple attempts in June. He did try to make it right with me after I left him this review, but since he clearly had received my text messages in June, his response below is only a half truth. He failed to acknowledge that I did in fact respond multiple times to his proposal and he was too busy to respond to me. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Steven came out to give me a quote for a new hvac system. Literally called his supplier from my garage to confirm the unit I needed was available. Sent me the quote on the spot. He did not respond to my email follow up so I texted him...we talked and narrowed the install date to the following week. And then I never heard from him again...multiple emails and texts and he simply never responded. I had electrical problems in my garage suddenly. Found Comfort Connection through Yelp. Justin was able to come out same day. He spent several hours diagnosing the problem, then gave me the cost to fix the problem, $750. Other companies I talked to [through Yelp messaging] charged for their diagnostic visit, up to $300, or couldn't come out for several days. I had alot going on, so went ahead and agreed to the work verbally to Justin, without getting estimates from other companies, so I cannot dispute the cost. Justin fixed the short circuit, tracing the problem to a flourescent light fixture. I told him I wanted to replace those 2 flourescent fixtures with LED, and he said he could do that too, and would come back in a few days. He came back, replaced the 2 lights. I paid half up front by credit card first day, and 2nd half when work was done by check. Justin had me sign his cell phone screen agreeing to pay first half by card. I expected to get an invoice/receipt by email, as Justin said he would do. I didn't receive any confirmation of my payment after first visit, so called the office 2 days later. Luis said he would send invoice by email after Justin completed the work. However, a week later, I still did not have invoice/confirmation of payment. I called office back, and spoke to Jeremy who sent the invoice. It confirmed paid in total and had paragraph about first days work, and that he would come back to complete. But the cost of 2 LED lights was not given, nor was the cost of light bulb that Justin replaced. I asked Jeremy, and he said they did not give itemized invoices [he works on HVAC side of business]. However, I have received very detailed itemized invoices from recent heat pump install, plumbing work, and update of my electrical panel. I would say the work done was great, and it was really great to get the problem fixed the same day. But because I had to make 2 phone calls to receive an invoice, and was told the cost of supplies would not be given, I am only awarding 3 stars. The other thing that affected this decision was due to the invoice sent one week after work was completed. Nowhere did it say who had performed the work, ie Justin's name was not given. In 2 signature lines, there was an initial "J"---- not my initial or writing, saying customer agreed to payment and acknowledged the work was completed, and that I accept all work done, and am satisfied. However, I did not sign these 2 areas. The company pretty much makes it look I did, because they had my signature attached at the very end, below paragraph saying I agreed to credit card charges--but this was signed only for credit card payment, not the page and a half of legalese. I find this very bothersome. Summary, actual work good; Justin was pleasant; can't complain about cost of work as I didn't get other estimate; BUT the paperwork issues are enough for me to be wary about how Comfort Connection does business that I can't really give a 5 star review. read more

I spoke to Steven about my electrical needs and he was so easy and friendly. Turned out he and his wife lived in Hawaii too and we just had this great conversation about where we lived on Oahu and restaurants and by the. time we were done I was just about to invite him and his wife for dinner, LOL. His son Justin came out to put in a new wall outlet for my electric fireplace, and a dedicated outlet in my craft room so I'd stop tripping the breaker every time I turned the iron on. He talked to me first about my options for placement and explained how he would be doing everything before starting. Having dealt with many contractors, plumbers and electricians who promised good work and didn't deliver, Comfort Connection was a pleasant surprise. I told him my furnace was pretty old and would need to be replaced and he didn't even try to sell me on doing it right away. He just said when I was ready to give them a call. I was leaving for an appointment and asked if he could close the garage door when he left and apologized because it wasn't working and we had to do it manually. I'm a recently widowed woman living on 5 acres and needed to move to a small one story house. Because I was not moving in immediately, it took me a week or 2 to discover that the heat pump did not work. Given that the oil furnace was the original 1955 furnace, I then had to replace the whole system... not what i planned. I know how to do research and I know how to look up lots of facts, but in the end I never know how to fully interpret those facts when it comes to a house. Of course I do use customer reviews but I also had to use price as I am more limited with my income. Eventually I chose a business that was very knowledgeable and said they would provide me with an excellent system and clean all the ducts. When I contacted all of the vendors To tell them I had chosen someone else one of the vendors asked me, for purposes of knowing what he could do better next time, why I chose that vendor. I had to admit that I only knew that I needed a new heatpump and a new furnace and clean ducts. He asked me how many tons the heat pump was... How many BTUs it produced... What the size of the ducts were that were required for that heat pump. He asked me many questions and educated me fully for over an hour. He never asked me to choose him he just wanted me to make a decision based on the best understanding of the facts. And then he said the one thing nobody had said and that was he was proud of his workers and had made sure they were all well-trained and that I would never regret choosing them if that was my choice and so I did. To try to make a long story short they have put in the most beautiful amazing system every square inch is new and shiny and functional. They set the temperature at 71° and I had to decrease it to 69 because it's just too darn warm . I have had a heat pump for 40 years and I have never enjoyed it as much as I do this one. Now I want to write a whole other story about the men who worked for Steven. There were up to 5 men coming in and out during the 3 days of hard labor it took to get this very old system out from under this very old house and a brand new bigger shining one in. They spent another half day setting and making sure everything worked perfectly. They honored their bid despite the fact I know they exceeded it...So much more care and attention than I had ever anticipated from any company. If you need an HVAC system, Or more importantly if your mother needs one, You will not go wrong with this company. They are so proud of what they do I won't be surprised if they put this house up for an Oscar. And we win. read more

Couldn't be happier,they were right on time from the very start with Daniel giving me an estimate on my new Bryant air conditioner,my old Carrier Infinity after 19 years needed a new compressor and it just wasn't worth the cost of replacing it.Daniel called me that very evening with an estimate , I told him what I could afford and we made a deal. The receptionist called me the next day and I placed my deposit. I think the receptionist name was Maria she was very nice, she told me she would call me in just a couple days so they would know what their schedule was for the following week so we could get it installed. She called in about two days to tell me what the schedule was and set me up with a day for the install ,they told me what time they would be here and they were within five or 10 minutes of the time they told me , they were very punctual. They sent three technicians Austin, Tyler and Gage, They started work immediately we knew it was going to be a whole day job because they had to tear down my furnace to put a part in so it would except the new air conditioner. They did a great job on the cleanup swept the floor it was perfect , this company had a lot of good reviews so I'm glad I went with it. We needed a new HVAC system, and had visits from four different companies, all of which have 5 Stars on Yelp and all of whom seem quite good. We are really happy with our Comfort Connection experience. Steven was really patient with my having a lot of questions and wanting a lot of details. CC seemed a bit more thorough in their assessment of our house's needs and in measuring for the limited space for the new system. We ended up with a heat pump that seems quite good, as well as a gas furnace backup that we may use only rarely, as in when we're trying to heat the house up quickly or if we get unusually cold weather. The crew members were polite, very neat with the installation, and seem quite experienced. And the cost for our system was quite reasonable, not dirt-cheap but also a better deal than some of the competing bids. The only criticism I have is with communication. The crew left one day and told us they'd be there the next day. It took our texting to get the answer that they'd be there the following day. I haven't quite figured out how best to reach them, but we are trying to hire them to put in a natural gas emergency generator, and there have been gaps of a few days before we get a response. Based on other reviews here, I think they may be more responsive when there's a actual emergency rather than just more routine scheduling concerns. I think this company knows its business, and does conscientious work. We have no regrets about having chosen them. read more
