My child loves arts and crafts so we brought her here. We were their first customers. Employee was very informative and helpful. Took our time choosing her item. Once ready all the necessary components were provided. My child was really into her art. She loved every second. It got really busy. The place isn't the biggest and there was only one employee. I got hectic but she finished her project. The prices vary but are more on the higher side. It's well worth it when your child has a huge smile on her face. My advice would be to come early and be patient.

Closed 15mins early. Called to pick up by the time we got here they closed.

It says 7pm they close, we got here to pick up our items and they closed 15 mins early. If that's the time they close they should change their hours to 12-6:45pm. Waste some time and gas. Horrible service.

    Hours

They need to update hours on yelp. I drove all the way dor nothing. Hours of operation on photo.

The freshly painted plate. Can't wait to see the glazed version.

This was a personal project for me and Joaquin was exceedingly gracious and helpful. I'm nowhere being comfortable painting but with some guidance I believe my project will be beautiful.

My son brought his little 5 year old sister on an art date to this location. She had a great time and she kept talking about bringing her back. Her unicorn looks so good and she was so proud of her piece of art. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Hours are not updated. I was turned away at 5:30 because they close at 6 but all the websites say they close at 7.

It does get really busy,…read moreso a reservation (or at least calling ahead to see if they can hold seats on the day of) is pretty much a must. The Brea location has more seating than other locations I've been to, which makes it a bit more forgiving if you try to do a walk-in. Reservations are made online and cost $5/person, which goes towards your total. From a large palette, you choose five colors. Sometimes if a friend and I want to use the same color, we'll just put it on one person's plate, which ends up giving us more color options overall! There's also a guide on each table with tips for different ceramic painting techniques. There's a cup of various styles and sizes of paintbrushes, and you can also request for a thin bottle for writing or detail-work. You get two hours to paint, but I've never felt rushed with either picking my piece or during the actual painting process. The staff here are always so attentive, courteous, and helpful, which makes the whole experience even better. I've noticed that when it gets super busy and you need a paint refill and someone hasn't come by, don't be afraid to raise your hand or walk over to someone, everyone is super friendly. They have a great selection of pottery, and you just pay the price of your piece plus the flat studio fee. The space is clean, and I love that they also offer outdoor seating. Since it's right in the middle of downtown Brea, it's fun to people watch and enjoy the vibe outside on a warm day. They'll occasionally have special events or deals too, like student nights with a discounted studio fee. With its central location in downtown Brea, it's such a perfect spot to catch up with friends, celebrate a birthday, or have a cute date!

We took the one-time pottery class and it's nearly impossible to get ahold of them. After your class you're supposed to get an email a few weeks later to schedule glazing. For the latest updates on events, follow their instagram @colormeminecovina! They have so many special events that cater to various interests and groups and ages and truly anyone can enjoy here. I came back for my 5th time on Valentine's Day with my boyfriend and we had the best time. We chose the 6:30p-8:30p slot, and paid $50 for the special event table reservation (included a couples caricature). I know they had a later Valentine's reservation slot from 9-11pm and those couples got a little heart shaped trinket tray as part of their $50 fee. The table reservation cost does NOT include the price of the pottery you choose. They have a wide selection of pottery pieces you can choose from at varying price points so everyone can find something they will love to paint during the time. They had a new astrology jar with a lid that i've never seen before and instantly fell in love. My partner needed a bit more time to choose a piece, and decided on a dragon wrapped around a tower that will include a tea light for later to light up the tower (super cool). The two pieces were less than $100 total ($36 for the jar and $54? for the tower dragon) which is around the price I was expecting to pay. Note that my boyfriend and I showed up at 6:15 to look at the pottery early and we were thankful we did because it gave us extra time to paint without feeling a super tight time crunch. The staff was super sweet and attentive and remembered me from past times I've been there, which makes me feel more comfortable and happy there. They were checking tables frequently and making sure paint was always available and refilled for our use. They also gave us time checks to let us know how much time we had left which was appreciated. It is important to remember that 1 coat will leave a lighter finish while 3 coats will create a more opaque finish. They had a card on the table that said more than 3 coats of paint can warp your piece during the drying process or even cause an explosion due to trapped air between paint layers so do be aware! You also have to leave your pottery for up to a week so it can fully dry and bake in the kiln so the glaze hardens and becomes all shiny and beautiful. I have been happy with every piece I have made at Color Me Mine Covina and I will definitely keep recommending it to those around me because it really is that fun and enjoyable of an experience.
