The staff/ employees are not attentive to running the business hours. They are nice but they do not pay attention to the customers. There will be days where the devices like the carousel is not plugged in to start the day when it's past the opening time. I would ask couple of times on different days letting them know it's not plugged in. (My husband also had gone couple times told me the carousel was not plugged in). Not only the carousel but the arcade for Mario Kart would not be set up where I would call up an employee and ask them about it to set up so the kids not just my child can play ready to go. When a business opens the place should be ready to go for the customers but it would be funny that the customer would have to ask to have the things ready. I am surprised and frustrated because I'm like wondering why isn't the carousel working? Is it broken? No it was just not plugged in ready to go. Why would the business be opened if it's not ready for its customers to use their equipment? I've seen sadly that the employees are just having fun amongst themselves talking in the front but they don't pay attention to the customers wanting to purchase food or drinks or snacks where they have to then just go to the front. I've seen some parents calling the staff for attention but they're not answering where they end up walking to the front. Seeing that is very frustrating because the employees are not doing their job. They don't watch our kids but at least pay attention to the customers trying to purchase one of their own goods. 2. The cleanliness IS NOT MAINTAINED.. This week my mother in law went to play pie and told me she had killed a roach near the car carousel. I'm so sad and disgusted to hear this. I don't know how the facility is being taken care of or how often but this explains a lot. I'm very disappointed to hear this because my child loves to come here but seeing some things on how the business is run makes me feel lack of trust, worries and not safe environment. One highlight was the theater and tech area, where kids can explore sound and camera equipment, that was especially cool. Another favorite was the live bee exhibit, where kids can put on a little bee keeper costume and go inside to learn about bees up close. Such a fun and unique experience! Overall, this was a really enjoyable visit, and we would definitely come back. It's a great stop if you're heading to Knott's, and with the Museums for All pricing, it's incredibly affordable. Without feed, visitors can enter the closure & pet/brush the animals. Besides the goats & sheep, there are 2 pigs, chickens, and in a separate enclosure, emus & a cow. No access allowed to those, however. Pony rides are an option for little kids. The ride is around an oval track. There is also a playground area to burn up some energy. A few handwashing stations on premises to stay hygienic during your visit. Barnyard Buddies is an accessible nearby barnyard experience. I was lucky enough to grow up around chickens, so I'm not new to livestock. It's my firm belief kids should be around animals, and know where their food comes from, whether it be eggs, milk and/or meat. While not a place I'd recommend traveling large distances to visit, for those nearby or whom happen to be in the area, Barnyard Buddies is a wonderful opportunity to feed enthusiastically hungry goats & sheep, and brush plump piggies. I saw a good amount of adults that seemed to weigh less than the max but the mid-section was what stopped them. The line here was about 15 minutes for our turn. I think if they had two people working this ride, the line would go much quicker. You cannot unbuckle unless you have something like a pen to poke through the seatbelt. The worker has to go around and push every single one of these themselves. This takes some time. I like that though, so the kids cannot unbuckle without a contraption for safety reasons.
