My 3-year-old and 7-year-old granddaughters had the best time here. They loved the pony rides. Pitting the goats feeding the animals and holding the chickens.

Haiku: Lakewood Barnyard Buddies A fun petting zoo Pigs, goats, chickens, cows Horseback riding too! --- This is such a fun spot to bring the kiddos or any animal lover. There are a variety of farm animals you can pet and some you can feed. Some animals you'd see are goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, alpacas, ponies, and rabbits. Admission is $6, feed ranges from $2-$16, pony rides $8. You can even rent space and throw a birthday party too!

Came here with my grandson and he had the time of his life. We went to the petting zoo, and there were so many sheep and goats and chickens for him to pet. Then off to ride the little pony. His first pony ride and it was amazing. So much fun. They also have a place for you to wash and sanitize your hands afterwards.

We had the best time celebrating my daughter's bday. Randi the owner of Barnyard buddies and her staff were amazing! Randi was on top of all my emails and answering all my questions and the staff the day of were super helpful not just with me but with checking in my party of about 80! I would 100% recommend booking them for your parties! A few helpful tips for large parties and if you want to have a larger setup like did I would recommend booking both time slots for your event, that way you have time to set up and not be rushed. I would also rec spending the extra $35 on the private pony for your party. It's not much extra and makes a HUGE difference! They get busy on the weekends and with the short window you don't want your guests spending unnecessary time waiting in line with everyone to ride the pony. The only con I can think of is that they close so early. My family is never on time so 5pm was a pretty quick window for us after all that planning. If there was a way to extend the party hours I would love to know. I've seen they have hosted a night time event per their IG so maybe it's something to investigate if you are looking to book. Other than that BOOK BOOK BOOK THEM! All the kids had the best time and my family can't stop talking about it! RANDI and STAFF THANK YOUUUUU from The Jones crew!

My kids love coming to Barnyard Buddies to feed the goats, play with the ducks, and chickens. They also love the pony rides. We love coming here regularly.

Came here as a kid a lot. So I guess nostalgia was a big part of why we came back. I was a kid but I don't remember the old ownership charging just to enter. I get times have changed but there's plenty of places to go that don't charge just to see animals. Was about $6 a person. A pony ride which I think is two laps was I believe $8 a ride. Now, we did chose a hot day to go but at about $70 it wasn't much of a day. Not much shade. The pony ride was one at a time. And animals were cute but the food to feed them is expensive. Overall I'm sure a birthday party or school trip would be fun. And it was fun to see the animals. But not bringing the fam back any time soon. Just too pricey and really not that big and much to do for the costs.

The cutest small little barnyard! Easy to locate, plenty of parking. We visited on a Sunday morning at opening. You can pay cash or card, but they charge more for card, so BRING CASH! We paid for or group and bought a few cups of animal food. I decided to wait to buy a pony ride ticket until my daughter warmed up and was for sure going to ride. We started with feeding the goats, which were a little aggressive lol. My toddlers were a little apprehensive, so my husband and I ended up feeding them all the food hahaha. There is a cute photo backdrop for pics. You can walk into the goat area to pet the animals including pigs! There was a cow, chickens, bunnies, horses, etc! They also had a small play area with toys as well as a large grass area with picnic tables! I would definitely plan to return during lunch time or bring snacks and enjoy the picnic tables! My daughter asked to ride the pony so I purchased a ticket and we waited in a short line. The 3 kids in front of us started crying as they got up to the pony and didn't want to ride. They staff were all very patient and told the parents they could try again later. My daughter had rode horses before so she was excited! You have the option to lead the horse or let the staff lead, I chose to lead her horse. I think we circled 3 times, plenty of time. She loved it! Highly recommend visiting! Friendly staff, variety of animals to look at and located across from shopping center if you want to eat/shop before or after.

The Circle LB scholars visited in February 2024. We were excited to spend all morning... visiting the petting area, take in some lessons, and have lunch. After 1 1/2 hours we're done? Now we have 3 more hours to kill? The kids had a great time with feeding goats, brushing pigs, and holding chickens, etc... the lessons were rather minimal and brief, we were hoping for so much more (hence 4 stars). Note to your group, a good time, but just plan 1 -2 hours, that's plenty.

Lakewood Barnyard Buddies is the perfect activity for young children. Entry fee is about $6-$8 and the pony rides are about the same. I appreciated that the pony rides can be credited for another activity (like feeding the animals) if your child doesn't like/is afraid of the pony. Inside the barnyard is a play area with toys + sand table, which was nice because toddlers gravitate towards that area. Outside of the barnyard, is a nice sized grass area with tables. Perfect for eating lunch or snacks ! Important note: bathrooms are portable, but large and clean.

This is a solid rural urban or urban rural place for city kids to go country. There's an admission for all who enter, adults and children. They have pony rides and a petting zoo here You can feed the animals too. We had fun. It was a bit more expensive than I thought it would be 'tho, but it's 2024 and everyone needs to make a living these days It's local to the South Bay Beach Cities, so if you're in Orange County to Santa Monica it's somewhat convenient to drive here.

This petting zoo is great for toddlers. Very affordable entertainment, with a small cup of goat/sheep feed available for $2.50 ($2 if paying with cash). Most of the goats were friendly and not aggressive, even when feeding them. There was also a small play area with plenty of farm-themed toys for young kids. Would definitely come back; it's one of the more cost-effective kid outing options in the Long Beach/Lakewood area.

Lakewood Barnyard Buddies is a great place for toddlers! Lots of animals to see and pet, and the price is very affordable. Highly recommend for a fun family outing!

From the very beginning, the owner Jennifer was incredibly responsive to all of my texts and questions. She was so kind and helpful, and she made the whole planning process feel easy and stress free. That alone was such a relief when organizing a big party. The animal handlers Crystal, Alicia, and Jessica were absolutely wonderful. They were super friendly, patient with the kids, and incredibly knowledgeable about all the animals. You could tell they genuinely love what they do. They did not just handle the animals, they truly engaged the kids and made everything educational and fun. On top of that, they even helped us set up the party and our food, which was above and beyond what we expected. The party is hosted on the side of the ranch that sits between the animal pens and a playground, along with a picnic area and bleachers for the educational animal presentation. The setting is so unique and fun. It truly feels like you are right in the middle of the ranch experience. The birthday package includes up to 40 guests, and that number includes the birthday family. Guests 2 years old and younger do not count toward the guest capacity, which is such a helpful detail for families with little ones. You also have the option to add more guests (which we had to do) for an additional fee per guest but you are capped at 60 guests for birthday parties. If your party is over 60 guests, it will need to be hosted on the wedding venue side of the ranch and will cost more due to additional fees and a required deposit. Just keep in mind that the wedding venue side obviously does not have the same play structure area, and the playground added so much fun to the birthday party. I truly feel it would not be as exciting for the kids without that space to run and play between activities. The party also included drinks and plenty of pizza for our guests. They estimate one slice per child and two slices per adult, and it was the perfect amount. The pizza is catered from Vincenzo's Pizza of Noho, and it was delicious. If you need more food, you can also order additional items directly from their menu, which is really convenient. As part of the party, we received a full tour of the ranch where the kids were able to pet tortoises, lizards and a variety of farm animals. The animal presentation was such a highlight. They brought out exotic insects, a chinchilla, guinea pigs, different birds, and several kinds of lizards and snakes including a boa. The kids were completely amazed and so excited. At the end, we even got to take pictures with Herbie the hybrid camel, which was such a fun and memorable moment. Overall, the party was an absolute blast. The kids had a wild time, and parents kept asking how we found this place and saying it was the best birthday party they have ever been to. This is a project in which elementary, middle, and high school choirs and bands performed at Valencia High School in the city of Placentia, CA, in the morning, and were then invited to visit Knott's Berry Farm for fun and the award ceremony in the late afternoon. We were thrilled that both our Bishop Amat Choir and Bands took home four first-place trophies across four categories. Back to Knott's Berry Farm, this amusement park is so much fun. It is a large property, and there is so much to see, do, and enjoy a great, memorable time. On this day, when we visited the park, it was a bit crowded (but fun nonetheless) as numerous school-aged choirs and bands were there, and it was also opening day for Knotts' Soak City water park. Knotts had a promotion for ticket holders who visited both parks on the same day. The crowds were no problem whatsoever as we ALL managed to get on numerous rides, listen to music, eat ice cream, and have bartered fish tacos for dinner. The park is well-maintained, employees were all extremely friendly and helpful, and security can be seen throughout the park to ensure everyone's safety. My family and I chose to purchase standard annual passes, which were very affordable at $120.09 per pass. Interest-free monthly payments are a great option if you prefer not to pay for your season pass in one shot. Now that my family and I have annual passes with parking included, we will definitely visit often, if only to have lunch or dinner at the park.
