Wow! These ladies working there tonight (1/22/25) were so sweet! I usually love this place but the service today was very bad. The worker was rude. He was an older white man with white hair. When I said I'll be buying a bag he had the nerve to ask me in a sassy tone "buy a bag of what?" as he's holding up the paper chocolate bag that he just said we can buy chocolates in. Then he keeps rushing me and asking what I want as I decide and I ask for a milk chocolate Bordeaux because I already knew I wanted that one. I stopped by this See's Candies because I couldn't find the Panera and I also wanted to take a look around. This location is not a retail and quantity discount shop, so no discounts for education/union members. At the end, I did not purchase anything but I want to say that one of workers was very nice. She exuded customer service There were a few workers in the store, but one was especially friendly and asked if I needed any help, the other two, however, did not acknowledge me at all. Parking is right in front of the store. Due to COVID-19, the store does have a limit of customers in the store. This location seems to be about the same size in the Puente Hills Mall, so a bit on the smaller side but there is a pretty decent selection here. I do love how See's Candie's are consistent in quality throughout all their stores, at least in taste of candies so no need to worry about the quality and taste. read more

I loveeeee all of the covid precautions that were taking place. I happened to go while some new hires were in training and observed a senior member of staff explaining food allergies and that everything could have traces of nuts, she was very through, which was awesome to hear since most people don't take food allergies so seriously. The person doing the training was super helpful and attentive while we were looking at the boxes of Candy.... but the woman that assisted us at the counter was not. She was rude, acted annoyed(maybe she was having a bad day?) and very snippy when assisting us. There was nothing friendly or welcoming about her and it really took away from the entire experience. Several years ago See's promised all centenarians a complimentary 4 pound box. When we reached out this year to commemorate Mom's 100th birthday, they reduced the offer to a 2 pound box. When we provided sensitive information to prove her birthday, we heard nothing. Twice we applied, the birthday passed, and See's corporate office has never responded. Walt W is rude and the reason I would not return to this store or recommend it. My family and I walked in with the intentions of buying quite a bit of merchandise. We needed multiple grad hats, fathers day gifts, and "just because" candy. But his attitude changed that. We let a few rude comments go but he just seemed to get increasingly worse. He never wavered, was always happy and the service was top notch. At 75 I carry a lifetime worth of this and that which has lowered my immunity considerably. Staff is really rude. I called ahead of time to make sure I could make a return of a sealed product since we over bought. They said yes. Then when we got to the location they wouldn't accept the returns. I told them I had called and The ladies were yelling about me asking who I talked to. Also the ladies are always lovely and happy. My favorite chocolate from here is the polar bear caps. It is white chocolate with some peanuts and caramel. Those are delicious and my other favorite is the peanut brittle. I think you guys see a theme, I love peanuts !! :) If you have never been here, you should just go in and browse around and they will give you a free sample. If you don't want that sample you could ask for a specific chocolate and they will give it to you. I ordered my items through DoorDash for the valentine weekend. They are awesome because they had a DoorDash and order pick up line that was separate from the regular line, which would have taken forever. I appreciate when businesses do this. My family has shopped at See's in the Whittwood for many, many decades. It's been our go-to candy store and we've easily spent several thousands of dollars there for all occasions. A few months ago I stopped at the La Habra store and it was a joke compared to the Whittwood (or so I thought). I visited this See's yesterday afternoon and the employee by the name of WALT (male/middle-aged/peroxide hair and goatee) was one of the most rude people I have ever encountered. I asked him if they had any Father's Day sticker or band to put around the $55 box of candy I was purchasing. He told me that See's doesn't make bands for 2 lb boxes and he's never heard of any sticker. He took joy in telling me that and his tone of voice and condescending attitude was shocking. He offered nothing to decorate the plain white paper. He was more interested in giving me a card to purchase more candy. There was no thank you and he was gleeful in telling me he couldn't help me. Suzanne was helpful and answered my questions regarding allergies to peanuts . Do you know that the cannery has a trace of pine nuts and peanuts and of course eggs so that means the chocolates has some trace of those ingredients . So if you have allergens to those beware you may have allergic reactions to the See s chocolates. Anyway, As usual See s will always be expensive. And it's okay, I don't fancy it that much. But a family from the east coast would like to have some Sees candies since See s candies are predominantly sold in California. read more

Came here for a simple 1 pound box of two different chocolates. After a long wait I placed my order. I told the counter person I had a gift certificate for a one pound box. I asked to stay under the amount and not go over so I would have no out of pocket cost. Twice I was told she would have to come in right on one pound in order for me to have no out of pocket cost. I told her I didn't want to charge any overage and to please stay under. The representative said I'd have to pay the extra amount. To limit the embarrassment placed on me while in line I relented.
