Very clean, well-organized, and always fully stocked store. Employees are ALWAYS super friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I always end up buying more than I intended when I walk into the store, yet I never feel the slightest guilt when purchasing chocolate or ice cream--my two favorites. Shame on me :) read more

The sales associate did not apply my coupon, after spending a ridiculous amount of money on chocolates. It was only $5, but she was unapologetic and a bit rude. I will be going to the one at the Montebello Mall. :/ read more

We love Sees Candies, but the older white douchebag that works in there is equivalent to Seinfeld Soup Nazi. It's has actually become a running joke in our family. Wow! These ladies working there tonight (1/22/25) were so sweet! I literally walked in 5 minutes before their closing time at 7pm, and I thought they were going to be annoyed that I got there so late, BUT they were SO welcoming and friendly! Smiling and cracking some candy jokes. They helped me grab the box of Bridge mix and gave me a free sample! :) I will def be coming back to this location. read more

I haven't had See's candies for years, I used to get chocolates here all the time! This store is small and very organized. Staffs greeted us as soon as we walked in. We were offered samples as well. I got a full box of assorted chocolate candies, double chocolate cocoa and milk marshmallows. Everything was so delicious! Even hubby liked the dark chocolate candies and he doesn't usually eat any candies. A great place to get my See's candies fix and the prices are as great as always! read more

So very disappointed, wanted assortment dark chocolates 1 pound box, of course they didn't have any. Over we can hand pick them for you, but it'll cost more like really. I have to pay extra because you don't have it very disappointed. read more

Not sure why they have such bad ratings. I came in to get my mother a lb box of the scottish kisses, the marshmallow things with caramel on them. The guy had what I needed. They were reasonably priced. When I showed up, there wasn't very many people here either. The service was good. I've always been a fan of the place and will always recommend them. read more

My overall experience should have been a 9.7 however after 36-hours of allowing my brain to absorb this See's candle location here are the results: Rating 7.9/10 I walked into this location sometime after 3pm during the week, as I walk in I'm the only customer and a Man in his late 50's or perhaps early 60's named Walt greeting me as he was doing some type of inventory behind the counter..... As I walked up to the glass counter I expected Walt who looked like a Gentlemen from the 1930's continued on with his side job clearly signaling to me that as a customer I walked in at the wrong time because he was busy....... That's when an older lady in her mid 70's walked in behind me and I saw that as an opportunity to see if there was a 2nd See's employee and sure enough the Manager Jennifer walked out and was a Disney level personality actress and that's what I've always liked about See's..... It should feel like walking onto a movie set candle shop in the early 20th Century.... Jennifer was fantastic and it's clear why she's the manager at See's Confidential Note: Jennifer's hands and fingers nearly covered with tattoos, that will throw conservatives off and I understand, however, she's a true professional. Final Note: See's has always been a quality company with an air scent you breathe in right when you walk in....... Stop by this location when you're in the Whittier or La Mirada areas of Los Angeles County.... There's also a Newer ALDI market with super wide aisles! read more

I usually love this place but the service today was very bad. The worker was rude. He was an older white man with white hair. When I said I'll be buying a bag he had the nerve to ask me in a sassy tone "buy a bag of what?" as he's holding up the paper chocolate bag that he just said we can buy chocolates in. Obviously I'm buying an assortment of chocolates, this is See's candies! Then he keeps rushing me and asking what I want as I decide and I ask for a milk chocolate Bordeaux because I already knew I wanted that one. He then proceeds to say well you're looking at all the dark chocolate so you won't find what you want over there. I actually did want dark chocolates and almost all of the chocolate that I bought were dark chocolate so I don't know why he was so sassy. He seemed very dismissive and upset. His customer service skills were lacking. After leaving we all just laughed to ourselves and realized he must not be having the best day. However, he shouldn't take it out on us. read more

I stopped by this See's Candies because I couldn't find the Panera and I also wanted to take a look around. This location is not a retail and quantity discount shop, so no discounts for education/union members. At the end, I did not purchase anything but I want to say that one of workers was very nice. She exuded customer service There were a few workers in the store, but one was especially friendly and asked if I needed any help, the other two, however, did not acknowledge me at all. Parking is right in front of the store. Due to COVID-19, the store does have a limit of customers in the store. This location seems to be about the same size in the Puente Hills Mall, so a bit on the smaller side but there is a pretty decent selection here. I do love how See's Candie's are consistent in quality throughout all their stores, at least in taste of candies so no need to worry about the quality and taste. read more

I loveeeee all of the covid precautions that were taking place. I happened to go while some new hires were in training and observed a senior member of staff explaining food allergies and that everything could have traces of nuts, she was very through, which was awesome to hear since most people don't take food allergies so seriously. The person doing the training was super helpful and attentive while we were looking at the boxes of Candy.... but the woman that assisted us at the counter was not. She was rude, acted annoyed(maybe she was having a bad day?) and very snippy when assisting us. There was nothing friendly or welcoming about her and it really took away from the entire experience. If I'm forking out money for overpriced chocolates I expect the other person to at least be polite and somewhat friendly. Will I return, yes, because it's the most convenient location and everyone else was awesome. read more

Several years ago See's promised all centenarians a complimentary 4 pound box. When we reached out this year to commemorate Mom's 100th birthday, they reduced the offer to a 2 pound box. When we provided sensitive information to prove her birthday, we heard nothing. Twice we applied, the birthday passed, and See's corporate office has never responded. We have been a See's family for four generations. I won't be buying another box, and others in my family feel the same. read more

I'm not surprised to see their stars so low when I jump on here. I just picked up my online order. What was supposed to be quick and easy turned into sad and disappointing. The guy who greeted us shouldn't even be a greeter at Walmart. (That's how unwelcoming he was.) as I was leaving my daughter wanted to try a sample of their maple brittle (since this is her favorite candy there) his response as we're (all) standing by the door is that they don't have any. He doesn't look, doesn't ask the girl behind the counter... just says no. I had to tell my little girl that we'll go to another store another day and maybe they'll be a bit nicer. Now before you think I'm spoiled and got mad for getting a no, keep in mind this was my 3rd time going to this very store in the same week to get the very thing I ordered. But the other times were more pleasant than this one. The other ladies were way nicer, friendly, and had an all around lovely disposition to where this guy today did not have any of those things. Sad, sad, sad. read more

I can not speak on the entire staff but one definitely ruined our experience, and judging by the previous reviews management is aware about this individual and doesn't care. Walt W is rude and the reason I would not return to this store or recommend it. My family and I walked in with the intentions of buying quite a bit of merchandise. We needed multiple grad hats, fathers day gifts, and "just because" candy. But his attitude changed that. We let a few rude comments go but he just seemed to get increasingly worse. Very snappy and rushed. If it were up to my family we would have just walked out without purchasing anything but since we started a graduation box I decided to let him finish it. And that was the only thing we bought we put back everything else, I paid and left. read more

I have always given my wife her favorite See's candies for Christmas, Easter, 4th of July, Our Anniversary in October and her Birthday in December. Well, all through the Covid pandemic thanks to the special people at See's Candies of Whittwood Mall I was still able to keep up that tradition. A SPECIAL thanks to Walt. He never wavered, was always happy and the service was top notch. At 75 I carry a lifetime worth of this and that which has lowered my immunity considerably. I've seen Hockey scores with higher numbers. That's why I haven't been inside any building since this all began that wasn't a Doctor's office. So, the shop is clean and neat, the service exceptional, the candy is still as good as I remember it and Walt is happy to help. Happy Trails Everybody! Don read more

I usually ask for the same thing one pound of dark chocolate with-mix nuts. And always the person behind the counter starts pick up the dark chocolate and put it on the box. Very simple task. But today I got Jana helping me. And she got an attitude from the start. I ask for the same thing 1 lbs of dark chocolate. And she handed me a sample of caramel nuts. And then she start asking me very rudely what kind of dark chocolate do I want. She couldn't pick the chocolates by herself and she went on and on as how many more chocolates I need to complete the pound. And all the time very rude. I paid for it. Said thank you. this rude lady didn't even acknowledge that. We are the customers the chocolates we buy are not free. If your business can not provide decent service. Staff is really rude. I called ahead of time to make sure I could make a return of a sealed product since we over bought. They said yes. Then when we got to the location they wouldn't accept the returns. I told them I had called and The ladies were yelling about me asking who I talked to. I hadn't gotten a name so they just said, well sorry. I've never been to this location and definitely not coming back. Especially since I had to wait an hour to even get inside the store. Such a shame since most of my interactions at the other See's candy stores are great. Apparently just not this one. I got rung up (on top of it all, I was still buying chocolate from them) by a young girl and she apologized for the older ladies who yelled at me. But regardless, it's never ok to treat a PAYING CUSTOMER like that. read more

#keylimecrush Yes, i can get a keylimepie in truffle form! (the chocolate kind, not the fungus kind as Maggie C says!) Although it pretty much tasted like a white chocolate lemon flavor truffle- it was tasty. The real winner for me was their Strawberry Truffle. I normally don't care for white chocolate, but it went well with their strawberry filling which was really yummy. It was heart shaped too. Cute! read more

See's is one of the best chocolate places and of all the memories you have had when you were a child. I love going into the store it is such an old school feel to it. Also the ladies are always lovely and happy. My favorite chocolate from here is the polar bear caps. It is white chocolate with some peanuts and caramel. Those are delicious and my other favorite is the peanut brittle. I think you guys see a theme, I love peanuts !! :) If you have never been here, you should just go in and browse around and they will give you a free sample. If you don't want that sample you could ask for a specific chocolate and they will give it to you. Also I think buying chocolates for a birthday, birth, marriage, date and almost anything is just a good gesture for others to think, "lets step back and have some new memories." read more

We come here almost traditionally for Valentine's Day with my family. We all pick out our favorites and get the "you call it" one pound box. The ladies working the counter look like Lucy and Ethel from I love Lucy (the chocolate factory episode). They're cordial and especially nice to the little ones. If you want delicious candies that are unique and rich (both in taste and calories) look no further. Mind you, $19.00 for a pound of chocolates ain't cheap, but for the once or twice a year you splurge on you and your family, it's a pretty SWEET deal... read more

I ordered my items through DoorDash for the valentine weekend. They are awesome because they had a DoorDash and order pick up line that was separate from the regular line, which would have taken forever. I appreciate when businesses do this. So thank you for great customer service, especially during a pandemic. Now if only they could offer individual picks for chocolates to create a box on door dash, then I would be in heaven and ordering a whole box of scotch mallows. I ordered 3 heart tins for work friends, and a box of dark assorted for my best friend, and a box of dark assorted for my mom- from my dad. read more

When someone decides to go buy expensive chocolate it's because they are celebrating something or are in a good mood and would like to sweeten up their day with candy. My husband and I stopped by See's and were greeted by miserable employees with attitude. Yelled at twice for having a service dog and told where to stand like children. In no way shape or form did these employees make the visit enjoyable or represent their company with pride. If you hate your job then quit and if your in a bad mood your guests should not be able to notice! Will never return to this location. Rude rude rude! My family has shopped at See's in the Whittwood for many, many decades. It's been our go-to candy store and we've easily spent several thousands of dollars there for all occasions. A few months ago I stopped at the La Habra store and it was a joke compared to the Whittwood (or so I thought). I visited this See's yesterday afternoon and the employee by the name of WALT (male/middle-aged/peroxide hair and goatee) was one of the most rude people I have ever encountered. I asked him if they had any Father's Day sticker or band to put around the $55 box of candy I was purchasing. He told me that See's doesn't make bands for 2 lb boxes and he's never heard of any sticker. He took joy in telling me that and his tone of voice and condescending attitude was shocking. He offered nothing to decorate the plain white paper. He was more interested in giving me a card to purchase more candy. There was no thank you and he was gleeful in telling me he couldn't help me. No more See's purchases from me. It's not about a sticker or band - it was his attitude and demeanor. Just awful experience. read more

I called before I came. The person I spoke to is Debbie very nice and helpful. It's how I found See s candy shop in whitwood mall. I came to buy several boxes of candies to bring to Philadelphia. Suzanne was helpful and answered my questions regarding allergies to peanuts . Do you know that the cannery has a trace of pine nuts and peanuts and of course eggs so that means the chocolates has some trace of those ingredients . So if you have allergens to those beware you may have allergic reactions to the See s chocolates. Anyway, As usual See s will always be expensive. And it's okay, I don't fancy it that much. But a family from the east coast would like to have some Sees candies since See s candies are predominantly sold in California. read more

Great place, but Briana gave me the wrong sample. I wanted the blueberry and I got the light chocolate one and it tasted really bad.

Same sees candy as always. Pretty good chocolate and a good selection. Service was not very good. Margie was incredibly rude. She didn't want to help me. She was mixing my things with the group behind me even though I said I was in a separate bill. She kept telling the other ladies I was in the same group as the people behind me. I told her I wasn't but she ignored me. When I told her I was in a different group, she rolled her eyes and said you should have told me before. Wow! The most bitter old lady ever! The service doesn't change the taste of chocolate but it's pretty annoying when she gets the wrong chocolate and puts it in your bag. read more

Came here for a simple 1 pound box of two different chocolates. After a long wait I placed my order. I told the counter person I had a gift certificate for a one pound box. I asked to stay under the amount and not go over so I would have no out of pocket cost. Twice I was told she would have to come in right on one pound in order for me to have no out of pocket cost. I told her I didn't want to charge any overage and to please stay under. The representative said I'd have to pay the extra amount. To limit the embarrassment placed on me while in line I relented. This was all said in a very busy holiday line of people. I've shopped at See's for more that 40 years and this was by far the worst service I've received. If I could leave a worse score I would.
