This is a review for the Jcpenny portrait department. I typically go to the Brea location but since moving to Whittier this was a closer option and man do I wish I would have just gone to Brea. I had an apt today, December 13, 2025. The location wasn't packed compared to the Brea location. I guess that's the only good thing about this location. Anyways, the entire session was SUPER rushed. The woman who took our photos was nice but she must be new to photography because she didn't direct us, pose us nothing. She took one shot and on to the next person. I totally understand that it's Holiday session but that shouldn't mean that quality of the visit should be less than spectacular. At the very beginning I was told I could choose two backgrounds.... Well the " photographer" only used 1 background. When it came down to view my photos, I didn't have many options to choose from and literally hated them all, minus one. I told that to the lady who was showing me photos and she could honestly careless (typical young employee). I'd also like to add that I did have a Groupon that the employee entered and all of a sudden when it was time to check out my code no longer worked... duh, the first employee redeemed it. Because I was completely dissatisfied with my photos I didn't want to pay the $9.99 for shipping because I didn't want the physical photos. I was okay with just the 3 digital photos my Groupon came with since again every picture minus one was shitty. So the lady at the register, she wouldn't give me her name but another young employee with glasses said that it was fine that should would just charge my card the seating fee which and not give me ANY of the photos. When the first employee told me and I saw her remove the shipping fee and would simply give me the digital ones. The emotes with glasses was extremely rude and threaten multiple times to just charge my card and not give me anything. She then tells me to call Groupon about the invalid code and when I do GROUPON TELLS ME THE MERCHANT REDEEMED THE CODE. Gave me the time and date. The employee with glasses refused to give me the managers name, her name or anyone else's name and she didn't give me a number to cooperate. I don't understand how a business is ran without a manager on duty. I had no problem getting the managers name when I called Brea, that employee gave it to me no problem. ( that's the manger the girl with the glasses had been speaking too) This location absolutely sucks, the employee suck, minus some tall dude ( he seemed very nice) i do plan on disputing any charges that are made and hopefully the manager does end up calling me to discuss this manner. Very disappointed read more
