This now online boutique unfortunately has a lot of overpriced clothes that I love.. my issue with this boutique is the customer service sucks ! I've purchased quite a few items and I always have an issue , from trying to make returns and nobody returning my calls and having to keep an item that doesn't fit , to having to pay the post office because of insufficient postage. I've bought items that are overpriced and a week later find it at another boutique for cheaper or even Amazon. If I'm going to spend my hard earned money on an over priced item that unfortunately is not worth what the owner is charging I would at least appreciate a call back or email ! Oh another thing I forgot to mention the email is address is full so can't even send a email. read more

love the clothes here but disappointed in their customer service i ordered a dress on sale size medium and they sent me a small i reached out thru email and nothing but theyre very quick to put no refunds or exchanges on sale items on my receipt. At least fix your error on your part. read more

Place has super cute clothes and hats. I love the style. Somethings are a little over priced but there's 3 sale racks in the back of the store that have killer prices!!! I scored big time!!! Definitely coming back!!! The employee was really nice. read more

This boutique sucks! By far the worst customer service ever! They blocked me on Instagram and turned there comments off so I can't leave a review on there. I see that other women on here have very similar stories. You would think they would want returning customers but they do not care and will keep taking your money. read more

Horrible customer service. When I went in to make a return back in late October on a Saturday, the girl "helping" me wasn't even wearing a mask inside the store even though they require you to. She stated they would process my return Monday and send me my store credit code (no returns are allowed, only store credit btw) first thing in the morning. Monday came & nothing. I waited patiently and emailed them Monday and again Tuesday and still nothing. It wasn't until I called and called Wednesday and someone picked up that I got my store credit code. (This was absolutely my bad for thinking I could trust this small business and walk away without my code the Saturday I was in the store.) Fast forward to trying to use my store credit during their Black Friday sale. The site wasn't taking my store credit code so I reached out to them again only to be told Black Friday deals couldn't be combined with "other offers" (see screenshot). Yup. They consider your credit as an offer! Their promotional flyer said nothing about store credit and since when is store credit an OFFER?! Of course when I asked for an explanation as to how store credit is suddenly an offer I received no reply whatsoever. So ridiculous. Needless to say I'll never be shopping here again. read more

I can not deny that their clothes are so cute!! But I have continued to run into issues every time I shop here: changing hours last minute that differ from the posted hours, receiving the wrong size for online orders, faulty merchandise (adjustable straps that did not work), discrepancies between their online prices and in store prices and difficult customer service that doesn't take responsibility for any of these issues. As much as I love to support small businesses, this particular place has a lot of kinks to work out. read more

I always loved walking by this boutique, they seemed to have cute items and a nice "vibe." I finally decided to make an appointment to shop (which you have to do during Covid) and I'm so happy I did! All of their clothes are adorable and are made with great material; the ladies working there are friendly and very helpful, especially Davina. I would highly recommend their little boutique. You cannot try on clothes during Covid but they have a 14 return/exchange policy, and I found everything I purchased to fit me really well once I got home and I won't be needing to return or exchange anything. read more

Been wanting to come in here for a long time and finally today had some free time!! I walked inside and every worker looked at me but didn't say a single word nor did anyone acknowledge that I had things in my hand and wanted to try them on. They had so many cute things that I wanted to buy but I ended up just leaving cause I felt so uncomfortable with how the workers there lacked any customer service and didn't even wanna try to let me buy anything!!!! read more

Best customer service ever. Even though there is a lot of stuff going on in the world, the great staff at Haute Mess make it so welcoming and are extremely helpful. I love surprising my wife with gifts from here and I have always had the best experience and help. They follow precautions and still make it so pleasant. Thank you so much.... read more

I have been a customer of Haute Mess from the beginning. The reason why I shop and enjoy supporting such a great business is because the shop is ran so well- clothes selection, accessories and customer service! I have never encountered anything but helpful and supportive staff, including the owner! My questions or concerns are always met with a quick response. I couldn't be happier! During these covid times, Haute Mess has been amazing! I realize everyone is entitled to their opinion but I must say so is an owner entitled to manage their business as they like! You're a darn fool to not shop such a wonderful boutique! read more

I just made my second order from this cute boutique and let me say I was stunned by the quality of the clothes. The owner of the shop does very well describing how the sizes fit, mind you never have I physically been to the store ordered twice online. I got two pair of jeans and I was afraid they weren't going to fit but man I received them and the fit was soooooo perfect and comfortable and soft. My romper fit super cute and also got a body suit which looks adorable and ready for summer w my cool mom jeans. I will def be ordering again every time I look at their page I'm in love w more and more clothes. Another thing I wanted to point out was their customer service, very friendly, patient and helpful. I mistakenly put my order for pick up when I meant to put it for delivery it was waiting at the store for couple weeks. I called and asked if they can put it for delivery and they did w no problem. The owner and her staff are doing an exceptional job making people feel welcomed beautiful and wanting to come back for more. Highly recommend ! Will not be disappointed. read more

Absolutely love this boutique, they are always so helpful in finding the next cute and chic outfit for any occasion. Walked in here this week in need of a NYE outfit and within minutes and with the amazing assistance of one of the girls working, I was able to find the perfect fit. read more

Let me first start off by saying that I've been obsessed with Haute Mess Boutique when they first opened in Uptown Whittier (years ago!) and I'm proud to admit that I'm still a loyal and proud customer today!! Instantly, the owner and her employees made me feel comfortable and right at home. They are all SUPER helpful and trendy so I'm never worried about asking them for a different size or for their styling advice! Lastly, Haute Mess continues to look out for the health and safety of their customers and employees and for this reason alone, I will always support this locally-owned business!!!! XOXO read more

Really disappointed with the low quality customer service. I do NOT recommend purchasing something from this shop during COVID-- if it doesn't fit you, they won't bother replying to your messages/calls/dms/etc. We wanted to support small businesses but won't be returning here for sure. Please save yourself the time and money and shop somewhere with some level of customer service and business etiquette! read more

Cute boutique, the customer service is poor. The gal there is unfriendly and rude. Last time I shop there.

I had to write an update since the store recently expanded and now has so much more room for activities!! The clothes are still amazing. Gabby's buying is always so on point and forecasts exactly which trends are on the rise. The clothes are at a mid-range price point but the quality is TOP NOTCH and worth every penny. If you want brands that are also available at stores like Nordstrom - this is your spot. If you want to send $10-$20 for an outfit and have it fall apart in the wash - there's other boutiques up the road that are probably more to your liking but - different strokes for different folks! :) The ambiance is still on point - and as always, the major point of difference for this store is the one on one attention you get from the stylists. They are so sweet and helpful. It's like having your own personal shopper every time you come in. This is the kind of service you typically only expect to get at a high end department store so it's always a pleasant surprise and definitely a reason to keep coming back. Haute Mess is and will always be my local gem! read more

Horrible service. Very disappointed with my first online purchase. I went to the store to pick up my order on Saturday during the hours my email said I could and nobody was there. I even waited outside 20 minutes to see if someone showed up. I've sent a message on Instagram and 3 days later still have not received a response. Will not order from here again. read more

I came to the area for business and stumbled in this gem of a store. This is such a cute boutique. I'm not sure why some people have bad reviews. The prices are decent and the clothes and jewelry are so cute. The decorations in the boutique are so modern and boho. I definitely would shop here again. read more

Love...at first sight! From the boots I saw on their IG page, the warm welcome by the beautiful & humble shop owner, Gaby, and every little detail you find in this store... was nothing short of love at first sight. I found street parking right away but I barely made it before closing time Tuesday evening (which by the way I found the late closing time to be very thoughtful, especially for busy ladies). I was timid entering thinking I was going to feel rushed but instead Gaby made this shopping experience very comfortable plus the music set the atmosphere perfectly. You'll see she has a great eye for what will make you feel stylish and pretty which for a new mom is a blessing. Everything was so clean, fresh, fly, cute that I couldn't settle for just one pair of booties. I encourage everyone to stop by even gentlemen wanting to spoil their pretty little lady. read more

First time coming into this shop and the minute I walked in I was greeted by the owner. She was super helpful and friendly. Have a bohemian style photoshoot coming up and literally got a dress for $20!!!!!!! Yes I said $20!!!! It was from her tent sale. So many beautiful items. Even found my daughter who is 4 months old a bow. She has limited stock on the baby items so I'd hurry up. She had beautiful indestructible baby books. Very beautiful jewelry. She was also so very sweet and was a breastfeeding friendly shop. I cannot tell you enough how much I fell in love with this store!!! Really wanted to buy more items but unfortunately I'm not baller. Really 100% recommend this shop. Thank you so much for this awesome experience! You guys have to go in and see it for yourselves. read more

Trendy boutique with very cute clothes! My go to place to shop! Love how the owner styles her drops!

I was completely ignored when I walked in. Not a welcome or hello. This was my first time here I won't be back. As I was walking around looking through a rack of clothes a employee stood behind me until I turned around and noticed her I moved to the side, she took a dress right in front of me to show to another customer. She did not say a word to me or even a excuse me. Rude workers not friendly. read more

I've been shopping here since they open and although the clothes are over priced, is nice that there is a place to get something the night of. However, It's not worth the trip. The customer services is awful. They are rude, insincere, and unwelcoming. Every time I go I feel judge, even the owner who I met is just off. However, the girl they have at the register is the sweetest by far. If you want cute clothes with a great staff just drive to stitch and feather in Brea or Fullerton. It's worth the 20 minute drive. read more

this boutique has very cute clothes & is clean, those are the only nice things i have to say about it. the clothes are overpriced and the service is horrible, the employee/s are very rude and unwelcoming, we didn't even get a hello upon entrance. definitely not a place worth giving your money to read more

I've been here SEVERAL times, and every time I leave annoyed because their customer service is absolutely horrible. I never feel welcomed walking in and get so many bad vibes. I continue to shop here because I've had friends who have worked there and I love the clothes they sell. Today I walked in, the girl was on her phone and when she saw me she walked away to continue to be on her phone. I stayed in the store to see if she offered any assistance. Nope. I found some cute leopard pants and wanted to try them on. I had to let MYSELF in to a room because she was behind the counter texting away. I wasn't going to buy the pants simply because of the customer service but I did anyway. She didn't acknowledge me until I got to the counter and asked "are you all set". I was so frustrated I didn't even reply. Horrible horrible customer service. read more

I love this store and the styles it carries. I went for the first time back in November and brought a few items there and one of the gal at the counter (didn't get her name but was the eldest of the sisters there) was really really helpful suggested a few items to try and was very attentive. I was pleased with the dress i got there which i recommended to friends of mine. Overall my first time i visited i would have rated it a plus 5. Then my reason to the two stars now and why i am writing this review was the fact that i have gone back with friends of mine and to the least wasn't greeted at all got a stare down and wasn't welcoming at all. I went back with the intentions of grabbing a few items that i loved after seeing them on Instagram. The ladies at the counter were chatting laughing etc and after a few minutes still no greet. So i proceeded to leave. I was completely disappointed because the style and quality of there clothes were awesome. The whole moral of it all is i love supporting local boutiques and shopping at shops that carry different styles and i do believe that great customer service is the key to a successful business. Below is one of the dress that I brought for a wedding i attended and I absolutely love it but very disappointed that when I went back the customer service was horrible and felt like I wasnt welcome. I would have diff gotten the shorter version of this dress in a diff color read more

Let me start out by saying this boutique has done an AMAZING job at trying to navigate through covid and clients requests . I couldn't imagine how difficult being a small business owner at this time maybe . I have had to exchange and return certain items because of sizing issues , hey a girl has curves , but the staff was always so helpful. My husband found this gem for me and I can't stop purchasing ! Thanks for keeping the fashion going in such a tricky time ! I will always come back ! Just got surprised with more goodies from my hubby, the girls already know my size and I couldn't be happier ! read more

I've always loved this boutique because they sell different clothes compared to all of the other boutiques. I always buy in person but since the pandemic I ordered online and did store pickup. I received an item that was incorrect and noticed until I got home. I messaged them and they said "so sorry about that are you local?" I responded and no responds back so I went to the store the door was locked but someone was there so I just left. I reached out AGAIN and they sent me a shipping label to send it back but didn't mention if they were going to give me the item I actually wanted or store credit. I tried to print out the shipping label but the link wasn't working so I email them again and no responds. It's been about 3 weeks since this issue occurred. Just horrible customer service felt like I was trying so hard to reach out to them for an issue they messed up on. So I'm left with an item that I didn't want but paid for. Won't be shopping here again. read more

This is definitely one of my favorite boutiques around. Love love love the style and quality of the clothes. Every time I have gone in, everyone has been friendly and super helpful Even though I live literally 5 minutes away, lately my schedule has been super crazy and hard for me to get into the store when new items are released. When I have messaged the store (usually through Instagram) about ordering items posted, someone always gets back to me the same day. I can pay online and have the item(s) shipped or pick up in store. This makes this busy gal so happy so I don't miss out!!!! Customer for life over here!!! read more
