Our neighbor told us about HomeGoods, a store I had never heard of, and I have been a loyal customer ever since. Lots of great finds in this store especially in the kitchen section. If you like something, grab it because it won't be there when you return! Fast checkout and very friendly employees. We purchased a lemon yellow accent chair, on our newly opened HomeGoods credit card, and received a nice discount. Delivery is also available but it's available through a third party vendor. The more I looked into it, the more I decided against it. I decided to pick up the item myself and borrowed a van. They were nice enough to hold the item for 48 hours after I had paid for it. I've been back several times and always leave with more items such as coasters, trays, and decorative plates. Everything to make home unique. Located inside a shopping plaza next to the Amazon store. I'm basing this experience on previous visits to other HomeGoods in the area and how this particular location compares - this one being my least favorite, but most convenient as far as distance. The selection is not as expansive as compared to other locations however, being that it is so close to my house I do enjoy their standard offerings such as seasonal decor and gift wrapping. I find their employees to be helpful only to a certain extent..they don't really go out of their way to look for something or to ensure they have the piece of inventory that the customer is seeking. Check out is pretty uneventful in that other cashiers in comparable locations are pretty chipper and conversational whereas there's minimal interaction here. Not a deal breaker but just a detriment vs. an enhancement to the shopping experience. Oh and it's incredibly stuffy at this location! Management needs to look into their air conditioning unit! It makes for an unpleasant time here, sadly. read more

Very rude and disrespectful cashier named Rebecca. I felt discriminated for being a disabled senior citizen. She refused to allow me to wait near the register for my turn to pay. I said the line was too far for me and I'd like to stand closer to wait my turn as I'm unable to walk steadily. Rebecca ( cashier) said I had to get in line regardless. I said I'd rather just leave. As I was attempting to walk away she said I had to put my items and cart back, I said I was planning to. Extremely disrespectful and rude young lady. I'm 71 yrs old with a walker. I went to another store to shop and saw this on my way home and wanted to take a peek. I am glad I did! I ended up finding a few things that I loved at very reasonable prices. Their prices are reasonable and they have a great selection in every department. They have something for just about any style. Employees were following safety guidelines and were constantly restocking shelves. You can see they take pride in keeping the store clean and organized. The cashier was very nice and greeted me with a smile and asked if I needed help with anything else. She wrapped my fragil items with care to make sure they didn't break. Loved the selection! After our home renovation, we've been looking to buy new things to decorate and this store has a ton of things to help you do that. What I like is that they are constantly changing items and if you go often enough, you'll find new things all the time. My wife and I have been going here a lot lately since we just kind of discovered all the goodies at this store and have found so many seasonal items, as well as just regular home items that we needed, such as pillows, kitchen organizers, or oven mitts. Also, overall, service was good and when asking questions everyone was helpful. I do have to say that not everything is a bargain though, but overall, I really like this store and it has a great selection of items for fairly cheap. read more

I was happy to go in for the first time in months- I follow social distancing and masks but many of their customers are not- I had a white woman who was getting in my space because she wasn't patient while I was looking at organizing. Then because she was doing it, another woman started. Like 4 people in 5 feet. Then I felt pressured to move and I moved to next aisle. Same woman came into the next aisle the wrong direction- not following their layout of one way- again I asked her to follow the store's directions and not ruin my shopping- she said she didn't have to. I told her I was calling management. She said go ahead. I Tried the phone but no one picked up- once the woman stopped blocking the aisle I actually walked to a manager who spoke to me. She let the other woman continue shopping as if nothing happened. I heard the woman thank her which was wierd. Why did she just thank someone who was suppose to be chastising you for endangering another customer? I left my choices and decide to not spend my money there. I won't be back. Acting like I am the crazy Latina who cares about her health more than getting a fridge organizer. I saw many people walking the wrong way and had to ask people to follow the layout. This is a new Home Goods in Whittier, which is near my house and I'm so exited about not having to drive to another city to get the good deals they have. I found this store was well stocked-well organized and merchandise displayed in a way that makes it appealing to the customer. The employees are busy organizing or showing the customers different items. I went in looking for bedding, pillows, area rugs and room items and ended up browsing for something that may catch my eye or perk my interest. After I checked out the bedding area and walked over to the kitchen area and checked out their kitchen merchandise they have dishes, glasses, serving platters to impress any hostess and other kitchen gadgets and everything in between. Basically I walked around and checked out the whole store. I ended up in the lamp section which they had a good amount of table lamps, floor lamps and low and behold the floor lamps caught my eye and spoke to me to take them home. The first lamp reminded me of a hotel that I have stayed and it evoked such good memories and such good felling that I immediately voted for that lamp. The second lamp reminded me of a nautical theme lamp a must see to appreciate it. I had decided for the first lamp but I actually ended up buying both of the floor lamps. Although, I did find a beautiful bedding that is well made 100 percent cotton and cotton-linen blend however it must wait for another time. As for me I score two awesome floor lamps. This Home Goods is worth giving a try you will not be disappointed. You will find a treasure that speaks to you to take them you to make them part of your space your personality. I was so excited about this one opening too and stopped by a few times thinking I would give it another try or maybe it's because it was still new. Great selection at this location. The store is always clean and there is a good rotation of inventory.

I recently went to buy a $40 dog bowl stand and I noticed that written in big black marker or something it said '44.21'. I was bummed because I really wanted the stand but it had writing visibly on the item itself so I asked about it at the register. The teen girl laughed and said that the workers write numbers on their items but usually underneath the item or where it is not visible so that it was strange the number was on the front out in the open like that. I then asked if it could be removed and she kinda hesitated and looked at her coworker and said "I mean.. maybe an alcohol wipe will take it off". I was confused as to why she wasn't offering to take it off or give me a discount or something to compensate for product that was tampered with and after a few seconds she slowly said, ".. did you want me to try to take it off or..". and I said yes please. I don't think any customer would want a tampered item because then it's not sellable, I work in customer service so I know that the worker must always try to compensate for tampered with items or mistakes and she just laughed at the fact that I was still trying to buy it. She then wiped it twice and said "Yeah it will probably come off with an alcohol wipe if you keep wiping". ! That's like selling a customer a dirty couch, you can't sent it for full price anymore or at least clean the couch. I said "do you mind trying to get it off before I purchase it? I don't want to risk taking it home and it not coming off". She then looked at her coworker and laughed and said "okaayyy..". I felt that this was very unprofessional. After a few more wipes she reiterated that it should come off with an alcohol wipe. I don't own any alcohol wipes so did she want me to go out and buy some for the sake of a tampered item I'm buying at full price? I then didn't want to be a hassle even tho she didn't remove it, and asked for an alcohol wipe to take home so I could remove it myself. She then laughed again and said "okayyy..?". I love homegoods and I felt very displeased and unsatisfied. As a worker myself I know how to treat customers with respect and compensation and I don't think she exemplified these actions at all. She was young and had long straight brown hair. Maybe she doesn't have much experience being in customer service but I'm confused as to why she was hired with these qualities? I love the store itself but the service was terrible and I felt like I was being talked down to when we were probably the same age and I was very respectful towards her, I probably won't be coming back as often as I did. Also, I spent 10 minutes with her alcohol wipe at home scrubbing the numbers off. No discount or anything was offered. read more

My all time favorite home decor store! They everything from cups, plates, cleaning supplies, food, bedroom, bathroom any room decor, prices are affordable compare to other stores. I was able to buy all kitchen and bathroom necessities that I needed. The downside of this place is how small and narrow the aisles are! Coming Sunday it was a bad choice as it is the busiest day. Will recommend a day during the week or Saturday early morning to take advantage of the slower days and be able to throughly browse the items without rushing. Hope this helps :) read more

Unfortunately the MOD, at least I think, came up to us and pulled her away to grab carts despite the fact that she was helping me. Finally it has arrived in Whittier! I went to the Preview on Friday and there were plenty of people ahead of me waiting. Upon entering the store they were fully staffed and cheered and welcomed each and every customer who walked through their doors. The store looked Fabulous. So very enticing. This new store has beautiful items and you can find reasonable prices for the beauty. I am a new, regular customer now that this location has opened. I have to say that everytime I walk in the store, there's always employees out on the floor and sadly, they never even acknowledge me in any way. At least a smile would be nice to make me feel like I am acknowledged as their customer. Whenever I have a question about a certain item I'm looking for, the employees seem clueless and tell me that they don't carry the item, and then I end up finding it myself at the store. I shop here a lot and spend a lot of money at this location even though their customer service is never great. I saw a dresser that I liked but it was damaged I thought at least I could repaint the areas where it was scratched. I called for someone to come look at it to see if they would give a discount since the dresser was damaged. A coordinator named Darlene finally showed up and was very rude and right away said that she wouldn't mark it down if it had already been marked down when there are clearly many other items in the store that have two markdown stickers meaning they were marked down twice. If an item has been in the store past a certain amount of time they automatically mark the item down. I know this because I used to work for the TJX company. And this item didn't say As Is as other items do that are damaged meaning it wasn't marked down for the damage. So she could've gave a discount for the damage. I asked Darlene if she could ask the manager and she said she had the say because she was the coordinator. I told her to ask anyway. She finally gets the manager Stacie and she comes, you can tell she had already made up her mind before even coming to talk to us. She says they won't mark it down again because it was already marked down. We asked her "was it marked down because of the damages" and she said "what damage?" Then we pointed at all the damage and she said yes because of the damage. So that showed me even more they were just saying what they wanted to not give a discount for a damaged item. I wasn't surprised by the coordinator but I was surprised by the managers attitude. She should care about making sales by selling merchandise and giving good customer service. Good luck selling a damaged dresser for $300. I won't be shopping at this location anymore and I'll make sure to let all the housewives know on my YouTube channel. read more

The staff was so busy with trying to get cards and the manager cheering them on that they ignore customers. They don't even say excuse me as they cross in front of you as they stock merchandise. The most unfriendly staff at any home goods I've ever been too. Except Leo. Who didn't assist me but was friendly and talkative to his customers in line. Everyone else was silent. I love HomeGoods but this was by far the WORST experience ever. I was scrummaging through their mess of a clearance section. I grabbed a couple things from clearance and a few things that were regular price. Go to check out, put my things on the counter, the girl with the multi-colored hair decided to inspect each of my clearance items. She pulls off the red clearance sticker from one of my items and carefully inspects it. She then says "oh this isn't clearance". Ummmm what??? It was in clearance with a clearance sticker, you can't just take off a sticker and say an item isn't clearance. She says "oh the departments don't match..." ok??? What does that even mean?! Who the f*ck does that? Just peels off the sticker and says, "oh its not clearance" and the dumb broad behind her is asking if the other clearance items were in fact clearance... even the woman next to me was looking at them all perplexed and confused as to why they were probing my items. My god, never again! I'll pay extra and shop at hobby lobby. read more
