My dancer is going into her 3rd year with them and I continue to be impressed with the talent of the teachers. I don't have a dance background, but from what I can see the curriculum is thoughtfully planned so that the students have a solid foundation in movement which is built on as they get into more complicated choreography. I'm really happy with my daughter's progress as a little ballerina. The prices here are the most reasonable in the area, especially considering the high caliber of teachers on staff (I looked into the other studios in town before deciding on Dance Image). Also, the owner is great! She is super nice and always keeps in mind what is best for the kids while respecting families and students. It's a wonderful studio with integrity and caring for all of their students.  Their attention to detail in classes and recital (highly recommend!) is impressive. Some words of advice: show up on time, wear the appropriate 'uniform' (each level has its own dancewear requirements) and make sure the bun is clean and tight. The teachers hold you to a high standard that shows just how much they value you.

Feels like there's a money grab whenever possible. Strict dressing rules for the younger kids was off putting but tolerable. The worst part is the teacher we had. I can't speak to how other teachers were but Jessica was not a good one. She consistently didn't help correct students on proper movement and provided little instruction. It was like she was robotically gliding through the classes and the children would get confused or bored. I doubt any kid learned a thing about dancing in that class. Only good thing I liked was that my daughter found it ok to be on her own without me in a class setting which will help her feel more independent when it comes to school time. Another scary thing are the stairs to go into the studio. The hand rails have huge gaps that people, especially kids, can easily fall through.

They also raised an alleged issue involving my daughters fighting in class, despite never previously discussing it with me. Our membership was terminated, and our accrued credits were taken away. Based on how the situation was handled, we would not recommend Lighthouse Gymnastics, Whittier.

When the studio closed, I was told the remaining classes could be prorated and used once the studio reopened. However, after waiting for years and following up regarding a refund, I have not received any response. I understand delays can happen, but the lack of communication has been frustrating and disappointing. Customers should not be left uncertain about whether they can use the classes they already paid for or receive a refund. I hope the studio improves its communication and resolves outstanding customer concerns more professional

She teaches them how to be responsible, setting goals for the class and teaching them important basic techniques. It's a great first experience and foundation for dancing. I would highly recommend this dance studio to everyone in the area. Snacks and drinks are available to purchase; wine, beer, cheese/crackers, candy, chips, water. Bathrooms are plenty and clean. But let's get to the auditorium, shall we??? It's so adorable and fancy! The architecture in this place is beautiful, although kinda funky too with it's bright colors. The first time I walked in, I literally was amazed. It feels like a "big league" playhouse, yet it is small and quaint at the same time. Seats are very comfortable with legroom and not a lot of "pardon me, 'scuse me" issues since it is laid out with short rows. I've literally sat in the vey back row of the main level and was able to see and hear perfectly! Kudos for the acoustics. The temperature in the auditorium is also comfortable; not too hot, not too cold. A wide variety of performers at the Shannon Center! Plays, musicals, entertainers, all music genres! Check out the Hawaiian series too. Need something artsy and entertaining to do? Check out their website and see all the upcoming acts.... you may just have your next date planned! While, yes, I am a biased and proud aunt of the female lead, I was still able to cast my biases aside and review the venue as a whole. That said, my niece rules, my niece rules,my niece rules. First off, the parking was super convenient, free, and located on the same lot and block as the theatre. The ticket prices were fair, as they went for $15 bucks a pop. Not too shabby for 2 hours of live entertainment all while supporting the college theatre department. The theatre was on the larger end of the small side. I'm not too sure if there's a larger stage, but the one that we were in seemed to suit the play nicely. I enjoyed that aspect because I really got to appreciate the nuances of each performance, attention to detail, and engage in the communal aspect of being part of a live audience. Good stuff. Oh yeah, the restrooms were also pretty big. On the downside, I wish there would've been more variety at the snack bar during intermission. Not a big deal. Go eat after the performance at one of the many local restaurants nearby. Also, the seats were padded chairs, so be sure to shift your position after some time. Overall, loved it! It's a shame I hadn't attended any previous productions, but rest assured that I'll be returning for more. Support the kids, support the arts!

She makes sure we're progressing and pushes her students to do their best, but she's also very sweet and funny and her classes are always fun to take. The girls here are also very nice and welcoming to new people. This studios great for anyone that wants to dance and perform but doesn't want to deal with crazy practices and competitions, we're performing nutcracker in December! The studio also has classes for 3 year olds too adults and offers ballet, tap, hip hop, contemporary and jazz.
